hey guys, is there a way to add the pinyin ? Can we have access to the full dialogue in simple chinese in a .txt and edit it line by line to make an english~pinyin version ?
That sounds like a pseudo-translation project that would most likely be handled by either a translation team of paid professional linguists or a dedicated, fan base of amateur translators that would do it for free as a labor of love (There were many fan bases like that for many H-games long ago on a now long gone site called "HongFire". Someone set up a Discord server called "HongFire Community" with the old banner and icon of the beloved site. You can join that Discord server, ask around and see what happens!

It's admirable that you and your wife are trying to fan translate this game. All that's available from this site is the compiled game executable and its support files. You would need a game hacker who can decompile the game's executable into Assembly language in order to try to find out the references to the source of the text for the game and either extract the text from the executable (if it is built-into the executable) or find the relevant support files (It could be a text file(s) that would be easy to open with Notepad or a binary file that would be complicated to open unless you have a Hex editor or binary file reader and know what to look for inside binary code).
There were some game hackers who were members in the now defunct HongFire site (That's how many H-games made by Illusion and other Japanese and Chinese H-game devs were ultimately fan translated into English). It's possible that some of them migrated to the new HongFire Discord server. Yeah, I know, many people from our generation (GenX) view Discord as a place mostly for teens or young peeps in their early twenties, but you never know if some of the old Otakus go there as well. So, the bottom line is, if you need a game hacker to try to find out that information for you then yes, Discord for you there!
Go to the installed game's folder and try to find a text file that is called either "steam_api.ini", "steam_emu.ini", "settings.txt", "settings.ini" or any file with a file extension of ".ini" or "txt" (Search in any subfolders, if necessary) and then open it with Notepad. Do a search for "language". If found, set the value to a language that is supported by the game (eg. language = english), save the change and then run the game.
So, you found a text file called "language.txt", edited it so that language = english, saved it but the game's language didn't change? If so, then try to find another named text file in which the "language =" settings might be located. I tried to Google an associated language pack (".pak" file) for this game but found none, so its most likely that the setting is only in a text file without the need for any separate language pack. Also, you said that you found more than one "language.txt" file (In different folders)? If so, then try moving one of those files out of the installed games folder and try running the game again.
In the Steam Discussions pages for this game, it's been noted that both versions of the Chinese language are built into the legitimate version of the game. I can't imagine why someone would go through the trouble of stripping out both versions of the Chinese language from the pirate version of the game. It's not like this was a large 60GB or more game with eight or nine different languages (eg. - "Multi8" or "Multi9") other than English that need to be ripped out and repacked into a separate language pack from the game with English only remaining, to ease downloading. The Chinese language files should be built-into the same file that has the English language and all of the languages should be accessible in the pirate version by editing the "language" setting in a text file.

If so and it still didn't work then you can try making an Upload request for the game with Chinese language support in the Game Request page. In your request, try to explain that you found a "language.txt" file, edited the language setting to "language = Simplified Chinese" or "language = Traditional Chinese" and then saved the change but it didn't work as the game still defaulted to English.

I tried your method, but it's still in English
Go to "%AppData%\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\settings" open the "language.txt" english change to "tchinese" or "schinese" , save it and restart game .
