Yeah this makes sense. I don't think anyone SHOULD expect you to try and account for other places when you already have well enough to keep up with here. That's a good question. Unfortunately, this game does not support local co-op play and only supports online co-op play for up to three players which means only a single player experience for players of the pirate version (Game cracks do not support online play). Those are one of the tradeoffs between playing pirate and legit versions but then again, with the pirate version you don't need to plunk down big bucks to play a single player game session.
Fix for Controller not working after installing the Multiplayer fix:
Open steam layout (shift + tab) Go to the controller settings (controller icon on the bottom right) Click on the layout selection Change tab from Suggested (first tab) to Layout (second tab) You should have two options here, standard layout and mouse & keyboard, select the standard layout Apply the layout
so umm..if anybody could mention whenever this is updated thatd be cool. and maybe specifically how to update it and which parts are needed(id hate to need to redownload the entire thing)
Bowie sent a link way down in the comments, but as per Roosevelt's request I also resent the link a lil bit down below you can find it. Bowie's original comment also had the DLC unlocker, and both work. The MP fix lets you play online with both cracked and legit. be warned that if you use the MP fix, you will have to make a new character. I'm not sure if you can transfer your save, i didn't try.
If you want to use both dlc and mp, i suggest doing the DLC unlocker first and then the MP. Also remember to apply the previous update crack files back before you update to a new patch because the MP and dlc screw with the patcher.
Odd. It wouldn't install the 383 update properly without me first applying the crack.
Similar happened when I tried to use 384. I might try it when I CBA to handle the risk of having to reinstall the whole game again + the 383 update which itself takes 2 whole hours. Cheers for the suggestion though.
Not sure, I have quite a few yarr'd games that i just haven't gotten around too. Wasteland 3, Tales of Arise, etc. I was thinking of doing that, so if i do try the update again I'll give it a go.

Of course, the update won't work properly if you've downloaded the game from elsewhere. There are dozens of uploaders that upload different versions. How can I create an "update only" installer that works with all versions of other uploaders in the world? "update only" is generated based on the versions that I uploaded (they are on my SSD). So they will DEFINITELYwork if you install them in the order in this site.
Just like I wanted to say, other uploaders should be accountable to their users, instead of leaving users alone, and letting them search the internet, and randomly use "update only" elsewhere, without do not tell users in advance that they will be able to damage their files.
I think you misunderstand, I'm not using any other updater or installer from any other site, only this site. It's the updates from here I've been having the issue with. I believe someone down below said that they used this installer, possibly this 383 updater, and then some other third party updater and it worked, i'm unsure though as I have not attempted that.
In response to another reply down below regarding the error I posted - no, I applied the 384 crack PRIOR to starting the updater and that's what it showed me. As stated already, thanks to a friend I deduced that the 384 exe was broken to some extent. I cannot 100% confirm or debunk this, though, so take what I've deduced with a grain.
Edit: I will attempt once again to download the 384 update as I have now copied my remnant 2 and pasted it somewhere else for backup. I am going to try it in two ways: First, I will update and THEN apply the crack found within the 384 zip. I am not confident that the updater will work in this order, as it didn't for the 383 one, but that's okay. Next, I will attempt to apply the crack found within the 384 zip FIRST and THEN use the updater.
I'm aware which is why I stated in my other reply that I'm going to attempt that first.
383 refused to function for me until I applied the crack first, and only then would the updater work. I am going to do 384 now, do update first, and then crack. I'll post a reply here when I'm done.
weirdly, v383 works fine with the FLT version (and the crack really has nothing to do with the v383 update). I guess maybe you use crack from somewhere else (eg multiplayer crack,...).
Can you give me a screenshot of the error when installing v383? i will try to see which files don't match. Anyway good luck with your installation, haha.
I can confirm that as of right now the 384 is working for me. I went ahead and did as Roosevelt (a bit lower, seems i can only make a reply chain so long lol) said. From a 383 patched install:
First, replace the cracks in remnant2/engine/binaries/yadayouknowhowitgoes with the 383 cracks again if you used the MP and/or DLC unlockers. Then, go open the 384 zip, copy paste the exe and its bins into the remnant2 directory (for simplicity). Initiate the patcher, run it, let it do its thing. Disable backup (copy paste your 383 remnant somewhere else for safeties sake), keep on verify hash and maybe log just in case. After you can confirm it's verified and says that the operation completed properly, go ahead and grab the 384 crack folder and copy paste things where they need to go including the remnant2 exe found within. After, go ahead and apply the dlc unlocker, and then the MP fix. That's how I did it.
Well, the updater succeeded after I replaced the 383 crack files as opposed to doing it with the MP and DLC fix so I'm guessing it was as you said with those. Thank you for all the replies and I'm sorry if I bothered you with all my own replies, I can be a bit talkative lol. I'm going to go apply the dlc and mp now and get to playing the 384. cheers!

As for the MP crack, you might be right That could've interfered with it. I didn't think about that, and even if I did i didn't think it would. My bad.
Edit: Ah, fuck, that means this install is going to break. I'm gonna cancel it, apply the 383 crack now to override the dlc and mp fix and redo lol. RIP.

Yeah, I'm gonna redo the installer after I apply the '383' crack, do update, apply 384 crack, and then do the DLC and MP fix, just so that my test is as solid as possible.
Edit: Felt I should jot this down for clarity. First install was ofc the base remnant2 game. Then I applied dlc crack and MP crack, played just fine. 383 came out, I tried to do the patcher first (i was new to updating so I first thought the crack was unneeded). It kept bugging out (I forget the logs but i believe the patching had errors and also at some point it was an invalid hash deal). I had to reinstall remnant 2 couple times, eventually what I did was first apply the crack from the 383 zip, and then extract the patch and bins to the remnant2 folder, and ran the patcher. It worked, and then after that I applied the dlc fix and then MP fix and it worked still. Just in case that helps at all.
I download the game from (DODI repack) and applied the multiplayer crack files , I couldn't join my friend since he's running the game on (V384.354) (he bought the game) and I'm running on (V383.678) . I downloaded the update file for (V384.354) and copied and replaced files from the folder labelled crack and same with the folder labelled Update . Now I tried running the patch.exe which keeps leading me to the message of (Required data not found in current dir or wrong version!) and if I try to run the game it shows me a crash report saying (LoginId:934799ea4efc2d7f3464f59e38190d20 EpicAccountId:4e1cb93536d94f9fa836d1134f279730

I already posted regarding this, unfortunately the 384 update crack here on IGG is broken. The EXE found within the 'crack' folder doesn't work. There's apparently another post down below detailing a more complicated way to get it to work, though, if you'd like to try that. For now I'm going to wait until it's fixed I think.
You must apply the update V383.678 and overwrite files in the crack folder. Then you can apply the update V384.354 and then overwrite files in the crack folder. This worked for me.
I was only able to update to 383 AFTER applying the 383 crack files. Otherwise it would bug and I needed to redo whole install.
As far as I can tell one particular file of the 384 crack (the EXE within remnant2/binaries/win64 i believe it is) is bugged, and I think others are having similar issues. I'm not 100% certain but that is what I and my friend were able to deduce.
Both files came from the CS RIN RU forums. I tested the DLC unlocker myself and it works. As for the MP fix I haven't tested it but the people in the forums say it works
It has been through 4 updates since, and the current "update only" is quite large in size. So in this latest version, I decided to upload the whole game, sorry guys.
Future "update only" will be based on this version.

Hey hi, Im having problems to update to V384.354, when i update to 383.678 everythis right, but when I try to update to the next version it has a problem hash with "Remnant2-Win64-Shipping" this file, i already copied it from the crack and put it on the game folder before update, but idk what could it be. Yeah, you can read more info on this problem below but incase you want the answer right here:
First I'll start off that the MP fix and the dlc unlocker mess with the updater. Since you probably already messed the original game file up unless you backed it up yourself (it did for me and wouldn't let me retry the update lol), you might need to redo it AND the 383 file. This aside, when you're updating to 384 you will need the original 383 cracks, this goes for any update. So if you use the DLC/MP fix, you will need to go back to whatever update you are currently on, grab the crack files from there, and re-insert them over the dlc/mp fix. Then you can update, and THEN you can apply the new crack files, and then apply the dlc/mp fix. Do this each time you update.

If you scroll down a good bit further in the comments, you will find a post made by a user named Bowie who posted the google drive links to both the DLC unlocker (pre-order bonuses and perhaps even future dlc when it comes out? im unsure, but for now the pre-order bonuses including the armor and the gunslinger early pick choice), as well as the multiplayer fix.
You know where you put the crack files? do the same for each of those two - I do the DLC unlocker first, and the mp fix next. There's another folder in the MP fix zip, but you can probably figure out where to put those just by checking the name of the folder.
Okay I found it, but now my question is, should i just replace the MP and DLC files into the game files and thats it? or do i need to run the pacther from updates again? Because i just replace the files into game files and this image pup up
Did you click and drag the whole folder? You have to copy and then paste the files found within them and not drag the folder. If you do that it could overrwrite the folder and screw up your install.
Not sure why that's happening it's not occurred to me so maybe someone with more knowledge than I could answer. Yes, you do replace the files AFTER all the patching is done. Dlc files replace > then do mp fix replace
I drag the files only into the game folders, but yhe that keep happening. When you say Mp fix replace, there are two folders, one named ENGINE and another one named REMNANT2, the ones in ENGINE they do replace the old ones in game folder, but the ones in REMNANT 2 are new, and they are just added to the game folder. right ?
please do not update because the game will not launch. I recommend downloading all parts and installing without updating. I finished the game without any problems.
Got a question, like i dowload the 14 The other folder with the Update.exe and the patches 1,2,3 I dont know how to install them, Like i start the update.exe and browse the file where the game is installed but it says somthing like "File hash mismatch! Please check your program version!", idk what that mean, can someone help me please ?
And if i tried to install the previous update the 383.678, i got a problen where it says that a file failed named: pakchunk0-Windows.ucas. And it starts a rollback. HELP PLS!
Hopefully this helps - if it doesn't, I'm sorry, i'm not super well versed in this yet. I'm just telling you what works for me regarding 383 (384 seems broken, at least for me).
When you open the zip folder, first grab the crack folder, open it (in win rar), down to where you see the config file and the Dll and such. highlight those 3, find the same folder in your main game folder, and drag. Replace all.
Then go to the 'update' folder, highlight the bins and the patch.exe, and move it into the base directory for remnant 2 (i put it here because it's simple I suppose), run the patch and voila.
Note that you might have to delete your remnant and re-install it. I did, because the updater wouldn't properly rollback my stuff and it would mess it up. Let me know if this helped you at all, and gl
I kinda follow you, so you want me to Download the 14 parts of the game, extract them and mount them so i get the game. After that, I should open the update folder open the crack folder and replace them in the game folder. After that i should run the update and all good to go ? BTW Do i need to install the fist update first, then the second one and so on? V383.678>V385.354>V384.830 in this order for it to work ?
So apparently I was wrong to some extent - you run the update first and THEN apply the crack files. And yes, you do need to go in order with each update.
A thing to note that was messing me up is if you use the DLC unlocker and the MP fix down below, you will need to go and re-grab the crack files from whatever update you're currently on. I.e, if ur on 383.678 and you want to update to the next (idk version number rn, 384 smth) but you had already applied the online fix and/or dlc fix, you will need to go and grab the crack from 383 and re-apply it to be able to update.
I never thought igg will upload tis :D The game is fun singleplayer experience and it shines more with a friend... i hope they can optimize the game and so ma other friends can play it also, im getting some Minor fps drop rate with ma 4090 gpu ...
Because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "RUNE" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)

hello, i can't install the update though i'm following it in the correct order.
FYI: I only use everything provided by igg-games not other websites, and following all the steps, but when i tried to patch the game from v386.778 to V386.954 it gave me an error instead, i follow the instruction as well to patch first then copy the crack right? but when i applied the patch it didn't work well, at first it works until half of the patch completed then it gave me an error stating that some files do not exist or incorrect hash. PLEASE HELP :(

Are the 14 uploaded files the same as the first uploaded files? If not, was the UPDATE V384.830 version patched to the first uploaded file and re-uploaded?
This site employs 2 methods for uploading and updating games.
The base game is uploaded and then all patches/updates are posted as separate downloads.
The base game is uploaded until a patch/update is acquired and then the entire game is reuploaded with the patch/update already applied. Which of these methods that is used is usually based on the people/group(s) that do the cracking. Some crack the update/patch and release it and some do it the other way. It all boils down to availability.

i beated apocalypse for the second time just now (completely alone), when it throwed me in the menu as usual after beating the game, i tried to enter but it kept pulling me out. i closed the game and re-opened it and with my heart full of joy i noticed that bradus still didn't have the completion rewards
Hope it helps someone. I was able to update my game to the v384.354 by donwloading the elamigos ultimate version, using the codex crack, then updating until the 383.678 using their patcher (the frist two updates), then using the igg update v384.354 on top of it. Crack the game after updating it to v384.354. I feel that its best to leave the PC alone while updating for it can easily crash both itself and whatever you are running (at least on my end).
Perhaps I'm simply being stupid, but why is this happening? I've replaced the proper files with the ones found in the 'crack' folder of the latest update. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

from the error it clearly said... your "\Remnant2\Binaries\Win64\Remnant2-Win64-Shipping.exe" file does not match. That proves you're using an earlier version downloaded from somewhere else where they use a different crack.
Thanks to a friend, I've deduced that the problem lies in remnant2/binaries/win64. The cracked replacement for the exe that goes in there is busted, I'm pretty sure, as the updater considers it an invalid hash. Smarter people can figure this out better than I can, but that's pretty much the only thing I've found that could be causing this as of rn.

Hey everyone, so I found a link to the update only, (I had originally downloaded the game from DODI repacks website.) I downloaded and extracted the update file and ran the patch applicator with "back up unchecked" & to apply the patch to the games root folder. The only thing I'm having questions about Is that I read on the comments below about having to re-crack the game or unlock the DLC again, can someone please instruct me on how to do that? I'm pretty new at this
This update will "definitely" work with the version here. If you are downloading from somewhere else, you should ask the uploader there. We can't make "update only" for abc uploader, xyz uploader,... I think it's best to ask from where you downloaded it, they should be responsible for their releases.

After installing the updates correctly i suddently crash every single time in either the loading screen or after like 5min (GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs). I almost did everything : i checked if i have corrupted files, updated my gpu driver (gtx 1650 super), lowered graphics, applied differents settings to increase performance, reinstalled the game, etc... Can u guys please help me ? i really don't wanna start over again, even when i replace the old save with the new one after applying the multiplayer fix, i still crash. The only solution i found for the moment is to play without updates and to start with a new character
Patch completed in 3min & 30 seconds on a 5600x CPU and Gen 3 SSD. Just dont check "Backup" and you'll be good. Also have to re-apply the crack which comes with the download.
i started updating, but something went wrong, patch failed wasnt applied, and now i cant open the game and the patcher, it says "Required data not found in current dir or wrong version!". Yes it very much is. Besides some balancing it adds A LOT of QOL updates such as an increase in the max trait cap, you no longer need a minimum amount of trait points used to dual class, increased scrap gain from just about every source, lots of bug fixes, buffs to most archetypes and some minor weapon nerfs

The 'crack' folder within the update zip should be applied, right? Or is it unneeded if I have the previous crack? I'm guessing I do, but I wanted to be absolutely sure.
I was playing offline but when I downloaded and installed the epic online crack to play with friends my character disappeared, does anyone know where the saved games are or did I lose the save and will I have to start all over from 0? Like i think that the first save is from steam or the first crack and now the game is saving in another place but i cant find it.
if you cared to search it up your not the only one getting that issue. looks as if it is a issue with the game itself. but that may be exclusive to the version released for ultimate edition before it was actually "released"
I did search it up, hence the 'as far as im aware there isn't any way to fix it'. I know a lot of people are, unfortunately, suffering the same issue. Thankfully I've managed to go far longer by just simply disabling upscaling alltogether. Game looks better, too, as far as I'm concerned.

Ah, I see. So is there any point then? I figured it out and used your comment (thank you for the drive download, by the way!), but as a result I seem to have lost my character. Presumably because said character wasn't on the servers, of course.
I assume there's still a lot of people that play the cracked version and that one hasn't been updated yet so you can play with them. For the time being at least

I usually just open Explorer, click This PC and search for the name of the game. Should show where EVERY folder with that game name resides. Good luck. :)
Eh, I don't need the location anymore. I wanted it cause I found a save that has all Archetypes already unlocked, mostly so I could get the Archon but I found another way. Plus people have found a legit way to get Archon now so

I did things in this order:
- Install update

- Boot game and play with my friends who have the official game on Steam, and EGS respectively.

If you are not low on space, I would recommend simply creating a copy. It works just fine with a simple copy-paste.

You should read in "__HOW TO INSTALL UPDATE.txt" first, it say:
- Copy all files in "Update" folder, and paste (overwrite) to your game's dir.
- Copy all files in "Crack" folder, and paste (overwrite) to your game's dir.
- Start game and enjoy ;)

383 refused to function for me until I applied the crack first, and only then would the updater work. I am going to do 384 now, do update first, and then crack. I'll post a reply here when I'm done.

Step by step, bro. Cant ignore previous updateFirst, replace the cracks in remnant2/engine/binaries/yadayouknowhowitgoes with the 383 cracks again if you used the MP and/or DLC unlockers. Then, go open the 384 zip, copy paste the exe and its bins into the remnant2 directory (for simplicity). Initiate the patcher, run it, let it do its thing. Disable backup (copy paste your 383 remnant somewhere else for safeties sake), keep on verify hash and maybe log just in case. After you can confirm it's verified and says that the operation completed properly, go ahead and grab the 384 crack folder and copy paste things where they need to go including the remnant2 exe found within. After, go ahead and apply the dlc unlocker, and then the MP fix. That's how I did it.
As for the MP crack, you might be right That could've interfered with it. I didn't think about that, and even if I did i didn't think it would. My bad.
Edit: Ah, fuck, that means this install is going to break. I'm gonna cancel it, apply the 383 crack now to override the dlc and mp fix and redo lol. RIP.

Yeah, I'm gonna redo the installer after I apply the '383' crack, do update, apply 384 crack, and then do the DLC and MP fix, just so that my test is as solid as possible.
Edit: Felt I should jot this down for clarity. First install was ofc the base remnant2 game. Then I applied dlc crack and MP crack, played just fine. 383 came out, I tried to do the patcher first (i was new to updating so I first thought the crack was unneeded). It kept bugging out (I forget the logs but i believe the patching had errors and also at some point it was an invalid hash deal). I had to reinstall remnant 2 couple times, eventually what I did was first apply the crack from the 383 zip, and then extract the patch and bins to the remnant2 folder, and ran the patcher. It worked, and then after that I applied the dlc fix and then MP fix and it worked still. Just in case that helps at all.
- You copy all the files in the "crack" folder (my crack folder) and paste it back where you installed the game.
- Then install update.
- After installing the update, you can copy the "crack multiplayer" (of you) back in.

If you have downloaded the game from elsewhere, you SHOULD NOT use update, it will corrupt your files, we cannot be held responsible for this. Those places should be accountable to their users, they should upload updates regularly, instead of leaving users alone and waiting for others to do it for them.
As far as I can tell one particular file of the 384 crack (the EXE within remnant2/binaries/win64 i believe it is) is bugged, and I think others are having similar issues. I'm not 100% certain but that is what I and my friend were able to deduce.

First I'll start off that the MP fix and the dlc unlocker mess with the updater. Since you probably already messed the original game file up unless you backed it up yourself (it did for me and wouldn't let me retry the update lol), you might need to redo it AND the 383 file. This aside, when you're updating to 384 you will need the original 383 cracks, this goes for any update. So if you use the DLC/MP fix, you will need to go back to whatever update you are currently on, grab the crack files from there, and re-insert them over the dlc/mp fix. Then you can update, and THEN you can apply the new crack files, and then apply the dlc/mp fix. Do this each time you update.
You know where you put the crack files? do the same for each of those two - I do the DLC unlocker first, and the mp fix next. There's another folder in the MP fix zip, but you can probably figure out where to put those just by checking the name of the folder.
Not sure why that's happening it's not occurred to me so maybe someone with more knowledge than I could answer. Yes, you do replace the files AFTER all the patching is done. Dlc files replace > then do mp fix replace
The other folder with the Update.exe and the patches 1,2,3 I dont know how to install them, Like i start the update.exe and browse the file where the game is installed but it says somthing like "File hash mismatch! Please check your program version!", idk what that mean, can someone help me please ?
And if i tried to install the previous update the 383.678, i got a problen where it says that a file failed named: pakchunk0-Windows.ucas.
And it starts a rollback.

When you open the zip folder, first grab the crack folder, open it (in win rar), down to where you see the config file and the Dll and such. highlight those 3, find the same folder in your main game folder, and drag. Replace all.
Then go to the 'update' folder, highlight the bins and the patch.exe, and move it into the base directory for remnant 2 (i put it here because it's simple I suppose), run the patch and voila.
Note that you might have to delete your remnant and re-install it. I did, because the updater wouldn't properly rollback my stuff and it would mess it up. Let me know if this helped you at all, and gl

A thing to note that was messing me up is if you use the DLC unlocker and the MP fix down below, you will need to go and re-grab the crack files from whatever update you're currently on. I.e, if ur on 383.678 and you want to update to the next (idk version number rn, 384 smth) but you had already applied the online fix and/or dlc fix, you will need to go and grab the crack from 383 and re-apply it to be able to update.

FYI: I only use everything provided by igg-games not other websites, and following all the steps, but when i tried to patch the game from v386.778 to V386.954 it gave me an error instead, i follow the instruction as well to patch first then copy the crack right? but when i applied the patch it didn't work well, at first it works until half of the patch completed then it gave me an error stating that some files do not exist or incorrect hash.

Which of these methods that is used is usually based on the people/group(s) that do the cracking. Some crack the update/patch and release it and some do it the other way. It all boils down to availability.
Is is possible to download the base game using the torrent link and then dl the updates here ? I'd like to avoid having to force my friends and myself to go through 14 downloads

I was able to update my game to the v384.354 by donwloading the elamigos ultimate version, using the codex crack, then updating until the 383.678 using their patcher (the frist two updates), then using the igg update v384.354 on top of it. Crack the game after updating it to v384.354. I feel that its best to leave the PC alone while updating for it can easily crash both itself and whatever you are running (at least on my end).
Perhaps I'm simply being stupid, but why is this happening? I've replaced the proper files with the ones found in the 'crack' folder of the latest update. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

i checked if i have corrupted files, updated my gpu driver (gtx 1650 super), lowered graphics, applied differents settings to increase performance, reinstalled the game, etc... Can u guys please help me ? i really don't wanna start over again, even when i replace the old save with the new one after applying the multiplayer fix, i still crash. The only solution i found for the moment is to play without updates and to start with a new character
