Just tried it and I confirm, basically nothing interesting. No real gameplay either, just some time management where you min max for the ending you want.

That said, if you like the writing of Sunless Sea and Fallen London then you'll love the writing of Cultist Simulator. It's the exact same, since it's the same writer.
