There is also a game-freezing bug when you receive a letter from someone, if you open it the game will completely freeze. If anyone has a solution - pls tell me. For now I would wait for an update.
There's a patch coming tomorrow which fixes the problem. Also, you only get softlocked when you accept gifts in letters. You're fine if you just read them.
Cool, there are quite a few Princess Maker inspired games, I wonder if anyone is maintaining a list of them or if there's some other way to easily find out about them.

Updates .11 .13 .17 .20 and .21 refuse to run, updates .22 2.00.00 and 2.00.01 refuse to install themselves on version 1.00.09 which I cannot change due to before mentioned updates refusing to run. Any help?

Basically the patch.exe for update .11 .13 .17. 20 and .21 are broken. You can't execute those files. So what you need to do is, to copy the patch.exe file from .22 or 2.00.00 or 2.00.01 to replace the patch.exe file of update .11 .13 .17 .20 and .21. And viola, the update work as intended.
Your solution has worked and I successfully updated the game to 2.00.01. You are a hero. You have my gratitude and I shall tell your story to my grandchildren once I have them.

Yeah i have the same problem. I tried doing it with admin rights, disabling windows security and installing all the recommended updates in FAQ section. Still nothing, I think I always had this problem with tenoke, codex updates work normally.
All of them and in order, that's how it usually is with all updates, in cases where this is not true, you'll find only the most recent update uploaded on the site.

Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

Sadly, just reading them didn't work for me as well. It only works with Birthday-cards.
