is it possible to use the long war mod with a cracked copy of xcom 2? i tried running long war 1 with a version of xcom 1 i got from this site and running the exe would give me an error - as the modders intended. is there any way to get around this for xcom 2? or do i need a legit copy to run mods?

I have 64 bit windows, after some experimenting and researching it seems one of my files may have corrupted leading to a exe that didnt work, but now when I put on the shens dlc, my game no longer runs/does anything when I click the exe, please help

I'm gonna leave this message up here, for anyone who may have trouble with either: Getting "Red screen" errors, or with figuring out menus in 'Dev mode'. If you want to spend a little more time with stuff just copy and paste all files and folders to another folder that you make mark it as xcom2 or what ever after all files and folders are in that one folder except the files from the extracted folder that you get off here don't put them into that folder just the ones that are there after you download and install the game okay now after all the files and folders are in that new folder witch should be marked xcom2 or such open folder click on the .exe or witch ever one starts the game and does not try to start up steam.. I can say i have had problems with some of the games that have to be cracked on this site but to help most of you guys out with stuff here is how it goes... Once you download all parts unzip and extract the files to where ever you like. install the game okay now if you don't know how to crack i will give you some easy steps to follow for just the games okay. After you do the unzip and extract and start to mount to a drive if the game needs it look for any cracked folder where you mounted the game to okay. Next copy all the cracked folders from where you mounted on copy don't move then past them into another folder you make new name it xcom2 or what ever you want. Then install the game after full installed copy any and all files/folders from the main installer folder then past them in that one folder you made new with the name xcom2 or whatever. Then open folder after all files are fully in that new folder now click the .exe and the game should start right up no errors at all just make sure steam does not start up or you did it wrong. But if one error does seam to pop up just copy any and all files from cracked folders and all other folders in that new folder you made and past them in that folder that is named xcom2 or whatever. then try and run it again if that don't work i'm sorry to tell you but your system might not be able to run it or your firer wall is stopping the game from running at all some times you even get that stupid publisher error i am working on this to try and fixe that to help people out but i am sure that it is not the publisher but your computer that is stopping the game if that is so i think you got to add that folder or game to be allowed to be run on your computer i think there is a place some where in the computer or properties that let you add it so you can run it not sure just taking a guess. But to add in one more thing guys/girls most of people won't try and help you out or give you small answers like idk or something stupid because they can't figure it out them self's. But just to let the ones know that are here that can't get the game running i am trying everything to see if i can help any one out by downloading and running most games on my computer to see how to fix it. If you got any more questions or it seams i have missed something let me know. But remember don't give up because i know for sure that almost any game will work on any pc depending because i for one do know this i have a intel core I3 in my computer and i can still run arma 3 with problems yeah because my computer is old. But i have downloaded a lot of games like this and also downloaded more from tycoon games to space conquering games to LOTRBFME1 and 2 and have been running them fine with the fact of running them on low graphics just to see if they will work right. I've installed this, and it's working fine for the most part, but apparently it's running in some sort of "Developer Mode", and as a result I'm frequently getting "Red Screen Errors" that block up the whole window and need to be dismissed manually. How do I run this game without Developer Mode?

Por si a alguien le pasa que el juego no arranca a mi me funciono intalar el direx , los Frame hasta el 4.6 y el service pack 1 en mi win 7. y para instalar mods se crea solo una carpeta llamada ( Mods ) en XCOM 2\XComGame . y luego abrir el launcher que sale una ventana con la cara del marciano darle a play y saldra un error solo se cierra y se abre igual que antes y ya funcionan los mods. lo que no se hacer es que funcione el DLC de shen lo pongo y el juego ya no me funciona no sale nada ni errores ni nada solo no hace nada ojala alguien me pudiera decir como soluciono eso :D

sometimes crashes ingame that are not supposed to happen, are caused by the zip files.
if u copied zip files again to a different folder/hdd before unpacking, try using the original zips immediately and delete the dublicates.
Unpacking zips do not offer 100% success chance, errors might occure. In that case try unpacking again and re-installing.
If zip files have .iso file inside, NEVER extract the ISO image cause u increase the chance of errors. Always MOUNT the iso, and if u cant do it with windows u have to download "poweriso" program to mount and read from "fimage fake dvd drive"

I'm farther but still blocked. Using the software dxcpl, i have passed trough this error message but now when I launch it I have a black screen after the introduction movie and the XCOM2.
lan always works with cracked games, unless u have problem identifying all pcs with ethernet cable, which is not related to game error anyway. With cracked games u just cant play online. I suggest deciding which games u want online and buy em.
It says the MSVCR120.dll is missing, I updated my c++ and it still says that, furether more I can confirm it is not a warped download of the file as I went to skidrow and downloaded their crack and got the same message.
I'm going to go ahead and guess that the download was altered mid download for most of you, because this was a 33 part download with a crack at the end, now I suspect that the download was compressed differently and has a crack with it. I'm lazy so I won't be doing that.
download the crack under the the 33 part game download, read the read-me for the crack, copy the contents into the same game folder and override them. Experiment or read the comments. for no Red Screens go into properties of your shortcut put this at the end of your target line " -noRedScreens -review, example: "C:\Bauhahu\BlahBlueah\Documents\My Games\IGG-XCOM2DigitalDeluxeEditi\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCom2.exe" -noRedScreens -review
yeah I just noticed, it was 33 parts and then a crack at the end, he must have changed the downloads compression and added the crack. you'll most likely have to download them all again.
Even in the 29 part download, downloads 27-29 are just copies of 1-3 and 26 says it's corrupt when trying to unpack the files. This game hasn't been uploaded fully.
yeah, the big title above say its digital deluxe and i'm half way through downloading the previous version, if we rename it i doubt its gonna work bcoz of different size, its change from 33 to 29 parts.
I initially installed the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 but it doesnt work. Then i installed the 2013 version and it finally works. Thanks :))) the only problem left is the game is a bit laggy. Maybe i need to upgrade my ram or processor thingy to speed it up

ok, so for some reason i downloaded, cracked it using the cpuid ,or what ever thing, bat file but it says it cant start because nvtt_64.dll is missing. I dont know what could be the issue here. I even tried to download the missing dll off the internet, but then it said its missing a different dll. Can some one plz help.
hi, have you updated your video card driver ? it's recommended to update your driver, and dont forget about those DirectX as well. the main cause of dll missing sometimes is because your driver hasn't updated yet.
pretty sure each game I get from here has the potential to rearrange, or delete my .dll's I've had to do all sorts of little basic tricks to try and fix these happenstances. Things are never really free.
that helped me get into actually getting the game to open but now it just crashes as soon as it launches, like I'll launch it, itll take about 2 minutes to launch, then it'll just come up with the "XCOM 2 has stopped working" bull crap and close. I am REALLY confused with the crap X(
1st ensure your PC has at least minimum spec requested by the game.
make sure to crack it as instruction provided (this game has a unique way to crack, as I guess we'll get another fixed crack in the future)
make sure you put it outside program files/ program files 86x (since some games need some administrator right, I don't know why, but some games I played just fixed itself when I put it outside, for example C:\Games).
don't forget things like directX and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (you can download packed version too in google). Let me know if it worked.

In between turns, I have to wait for like 2 minutes while the game just sits there. I can still move the camera but cannot issue any commands. This problem is bothering me so much help would me appreciated! Thank you

I get an exception error (0) with the cpuid application. Is there any specific place I'm supposed to put the folder or icons, because as far as I know, I've followed all directions diligently.
theirs one more problem i forgot to mention if you know how to play the other xcom game just skip the tutorial it glitches or something you cant select your guys to give them orders it took me like 5 times to get it to work for me i did it over and over to just watch the cut scenes so be aware.

did you open the cupid crack? then copy contents OVER the pre-existing win64\binaries folder? also you could try and reinstall VCRedists?, it's provided in the game folder you unpack.
I have no real problems so far. Game works fine. There are a few bugs here and there like: soldier ist holding minigun like a normal ausault rifle or 5 second pause before talking in missions, etc. Sometimes my game freezes and the colour of the screen changes to green and purple stripes but thats a problem of my graphic card and not of the game... Other than that, nice crack
Game works just fine if you run the crack and get the red-screen fixed very easy but the only problem i have is when you try to promote one of you guys the game freezes there is a very little chance for it to work so just don't promote you guys and lets just hope someone find a way to get past that bug.
There wasnt a crack in my download.. only an iso.. I mounted it, installed the game and it seems to be working fine... except for the 2k account issue.
Yes, I've had the redscreen, finally did the little cover fix for it. I have not had the soldier promotion issue. I have an idea though. get Cheat Engine, and go to the forums http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewforum.php?f=4 click on the Xcom2 game section, or search it if this comment is old. get the table and just finangle with your soldiers. it's pretty easy.
i still get red screens all the time. my target path is setup like this "C:\Users\Omar\Desktop\IGG-XCOM2DigitalDeluxeEditi\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCom2.exe" -noRedScreens -review so i have no clue why they still show up.

I found out how to change the language the proper way. Go to XCOM2\Binaries\Win64 and open steam_api.ini search language and change it to your language "example= german,english,spanish ect." Then open 3DMGAME.ini in the same folder. And search language there. Do the same thing there. "example= german,english,spanish ect." If this didnt help you then go and search Zakaros comment. Maybe it will work for you. Have fun, while playing.

It's in 990MB parts because a lot of file hosting site won't allow downloads over 1GB to free users. It's such a stupid thing to whine about, especially when you don't have to pay anything for those games...
the crack is a separate download read the crack info, open the patch, copy the files and paste them in the identical folder of your Chinese copy. This is what I did if anyone has extra information that would be great as I have a further problem as I have posted.

Finally got tired of the redscreens so I put that after Xcom2.exe" -noRedScreens -review and that rearranged the main menu to the normal menu so I guess that's good.
I've crashed in the cutscene after the tutorial 3 times now, same spot. it's the cinematic in which the patient,"I guess the former commander" is pulled off the stretcher and it starts to freeze up, then full crash a few seconds of stuttering. Hello, you have the following folder IGG-XCOM2DigitalDeluxeEditi\XCOM 2\Binaries Here you have to copy the crack and do the steps in the manual. After this there should be a Win64 folder for the game and then have fun. Even me dummy noob got the game running and I am already addicted to it^^ THX A LOT IGG
Hello, maybe it wasn't clear from my post. The game does not need to be installed. When you extract the rar files you get the whole game. The only important steps after this are the the ones mentioned in the crack tutorial. Copy the crack files in the right folder and execute this batch file. After this make the shortcut with -noRedScreens -review. Then it should be working. Hope this helps more.
the game works and everything, however there is no "start game" option. There are only other game modes and tutorial. Some help would be highly appreciated and thanks again :)

How to use crack: If CPUID patch freezes, go to windows region and language setting, then administrative tab and set the system locale to English (US) and restart your pc. Did you tryed that ? :)

You make a rightklick on the shortcut you created from the original Xcom2.exe. After that you click on propertise. Now you have to go to target and add -noRedScreens -review behind the last "
The Game doesn´t start for me :( I did run the crack and changed the shortcut. The Game launches in the task bar but after a few seconds i get a a message that xcom2 isn´t working anymore. Help pls :(
Excuse me, but the ModLauncher inside Binaries/Win64/Launcher can't find the Xcomgame.exe? :( The vanilla game exe work perfectly, but the ModLauncher crashes on startup. :/

Hey Guys, I'm struggling trying to get the game to work. I set the language, run the cpuid.exe, create shortcut and add "-noRedScreens -review" to the target location. Run it and it comes up with "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." I have removed the files and extracted the downloads again and still come up with the same issue. Currently running High-Spec Machine. I have no clue why this occurs, anyone got any insight?
The game minimizes on start up and when I try to alt tab it just minimizes again, It is running and I can here the music but I can't do anything while it is minimized.
Yo peeps remember to disable your antivirus before extracting the game. anti virus will think the crack is a virus and it will delete the crack dll without your consent. Thats why you will have a missing dll error :)

Ich bekomme den Redscreen nicht weg weil ich die "how to use crack" Readme nicht verstehe (also nicht das ich kein Englisch kann sondern wie das geschrieben ist. Das versteh ich nicht.) Ich schreibe es dir trzdm nochmal :p Zuerst packst du die cracked datein in binaries\win64 danach machst du eine verknüpfung von xcom2.exe zb. auf den desktop bei ziel packst du hinter " -noRedScreens -review
Also hinter den " das -noRedScreens -review ! Ich hab das jetz erstmal so gelöst das ich die Hauptexe -noRedScreens -review genannt habe und davon eine Verknüpfung gemacht habe. Weil wenn ich versuchte hinter Xcom2.exe -noRedScreens -review zu schreiben meinte windows immer "bitte vergewissern sie sich das sie alles richtig geschrieben haben"
bei mir klappt alles einwandfrei auser kleine mini ruckler aber da hab ich mich schon durch foren durchgelessen. da gibts leute mit 8 kernen und gtx 980 die lags haben :D
Just found out that if you change your language your old saves will be deleted cause they where created in another language. So if you want 2 keep playing on your old save. Then i woud recommend 2 play on the language you where using befor.
When I run Xcom2.exe I get this entire other menu than what i got on the first launch and when i go back to the final shell menu, and run the game, it doesn't let me move my characters.

hhmm.. for metal gear solid 5 you have to turn your clock to hongkong.. :D you can fix the crack by editing it and choose yor time zone >.< but your right.. xcom 2 seems to need some special work around too ;)
Ok I got it working properly after many tries with the comments, TY all for that! What made me achieve this, was the next: copied crack - changed language in 3DMGAME.ini - changed regional settings to English (US) - added the line on the shortcut - launched CPUID.Patch (MUST BE DONE IN ADMIN MODE!!!) (I did it wrong a few times :D ). Dunno if all is needed, but the CPU patch kicked in to make the game run smoothly without time delays (it was very annoying). Not sure about the order, it was trial/error :D If you set every soldier speaking / status report on in the game, you should hear them speaking in tutorial, it's also a good sign of the game is working properly. I hope my comment was useful. If Red Screen keeps appearing, just press Esc.

The SHORTCUT or the original exe? and do I put it in continuation of the target or do I eliminate then target and then put the reredscreens thing? And in wich tab of properties do I put the thing? Bcuz I have a keyboard in another language and I do not know wich si target :( tell wich tab: general acsees...etc. and from there tell me first like wich says xcom2....or whatever. this work for me, install the game and then download the crack and then copy and paste the Binaries folder were you install the game. Then run the CPUID.Patch then what i did i made a shortcut from "XCOM2", "Binaries", "Win64", XCom2 to the desktop. Try it the redscreen is gone and all in words in english. :)

Everytime i follow Zakkaroo's Comment. The game is still in english or i get a green box. Maybe Zakkaroo can make it more clear for me. Since im not an native english speaker. Or somebody can give me more information about changing the language.

hey guys, could do with a hand here. When i boot up the game there is no intro stuff it just goes straight to the main menu but the majority of it is covered by a big green square with no buttons visible. would appreciate if anyone could tell me how to fix this.
Figured out how to easily change the language -- where the Xcom2.exe is, go into 3DMGAME.ini, at the top will be a language, change it to your language and done.
Either im a fool or i dont have an English folder? When i booted up the game the first time it was in chinese so i went to do what zakkaroo said but i dont even have an enu (english) folder. Hlep pls

Right click on Xcom2.exe and click "Create shortcut"; Then right click that shortcut and hit properties. It will have target:, and you want to put (space)-noRedScreens(space)-review
plus also what happens if you get say 15gbs into the download then it gets removed from the website? you lose all that progress. now in 1gb parts lets say parts 1-15 have finished and part 16 is halfway through when it gets removed, then the 15 parts you already downloaded are finished and you wont need to re-download when the files get re-uploaded. also a simple fix would be to use their torrent site http://gamestorrent.co/xcom-2-digital-deluxe-3dm.html im using it because im not opening 33 tabs XD

So found out how to change the language of the game, go into localization and delete all files except for your langauge folder and the "DO_NOT_DELETE". After doing so go into all Engine.inis and change the language to your desired language. should be 3 in total (1 in documents/XCOM2/XComeGame/Config another in Drive:/XCOM 2/ XComGame/Config and last one in Drive:/XCOM 2/Engine/Config.)

To quote reddit, the DRM is a simple cpuid checker. Basically the cracker writes a registry that tricks the game into thinking you bought it. Really simple stuff but the only problem is you need the game to know what the registry needs to be, which is why it took hours to get cracked (guy needed to download it before he could crack it)

Right now marks the beginning of my noble quest, to download each part seperately, instead of setting all 33 at once and just pausing them all, then slowly working through them. I estimate it'll take about 5 hours and 30 minutes, probably more.

Yes its not out yet...but IGG always brings games like a week or elss days EARLYER....wich is awesome :D This happened to Dragons Dogma 2 wich was released 5 days earlyer....People were the first to upload agemplays to youtube. :D

Aaa...Usually...well it depends on how long is the game, I calcuate this one wich has around 28 GB as you said will take around a few hours (probalby 4-16 H), it depends on how fast IGG uploads it aswell...if hes lazy, if hes not :D
two words MEGASYNC APP. you can use that download all the parts at once and within an hour or two (depending on your net speeds) youll have it install times vary depending on how they did it :)

Make a shortcut, open up the target tab in properties, go into the target box, and then add at the end "-noRedScreens -review" (Without quotation marks).
The link should help you better than what I can explain.
As for trying to figure out the menus whilst still in developer mode, just click the "Final shell menu" button (or named something like that), and it should show you menus that a normal player should see.
Adding the parameters from above also cancels out the devmode, solving both problems.

I can say i have had problems with some of the games that have to be cracked on this site but to help most of you guys out with stuff here is how it goes...
Once you download all parts unzip and extract the files to where ever you like.
install the game okay now if you don't know how to crack i will give you some easy steps to follow for just the games okay.
After you do the unzip and extract and start to mount to a drive if the game needs it look for any cracked folder where you mounted the game to okay.
Next copy all the cracked folders from where you mounted on copy don't move then past them into another folder you make new name it xcom2 or what ever you want.
Then install the game after full installed copy any and all files/folders from the main installer folder then past them in that one folder you made new with the name xcom2 or whatever.
Then open folder after all files are fully in that new folder now click the .exe and the game should start right up no errors at all just make sure steam does not start up or you did it wrong.
But if one error does seam to pop up just copy any and all files from cracked folders and all other folders in that new folder you made and past them in that folder that is named xcom2 or whatever.
then try and run it again if that don't work i'm sorry to tell you but your system might not be able to run it or your firer wall is stopping the game from running at all some times you even get that stupid publisher error i am working on this to try and fixe that to help people out but i am sure that it is not the publisher but your computer that is stopping the game if that is so i think you got to add that folder or game to be allowed to be run on your computer i think there is a place some where in the computer or properties that let you add it so you can run it not sure just taking a guess.
But to add in one more thing guys/girls most of people won't try and help you out or give you small answers like idk or something stupid because they can't figure it out them self's.
But just to let the ones know that are here that can't get the game running i am trying everything to see if i can help any one out by downloading and running most games on my computer to see how to fix it.
If you got any more questions or it seams i have missed something let me know.
But remember don't give up because i know for sure that almost any game will work on any pc depending because i for one do know this i have a intel core I3 in my computer and i can still run arma 3 with problems yeah because my computer is old.
But i have downloaded a lot of games like this and also downloaded more from tycoon games to space conquering games to LOTRBFME1 and 2 and have been running them fine with the fact of running them on low graphics just to see if they will work right.

Using the software dxcpl, i have passed trough this error message but now when I launch it I have a black screen after the introduction movie and the XCOM2.
With cracked games u just cant play online. I suggest deciding which games u want online and buy em.
I'm lazy so I won't be doing that.
for no Red Screens go into properties of your shortcut put this at the end of your target line " -noRedScreens -review, example:
"C:\Bauhahu\BlahBlueah\Documents\My Games\IGG-XCOM2DigitalDeluxeEditi\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCom2.exe" -noRedScreens -review
the only problem left is the game is a bit laggy. Maybe i need to upgrade my ram or processor thingy to speed it up

it's recommended to update your driver, and dont forget about those DirectX as well. the main cause of dll missing sometimes is because your driver hasn't updated yet.

Hmm nope and even skipping the turtorial wont help because then you will be stuck on a screen on the ship where it says travelling to the waypoint or soem shit so i simply suggest getting help from someone else or delet the game and buy it :D
hmm, it seems many people out there has the same problem.
Sometimes my game freezes and the colour of the screen changes to green and purple stripes but thats a problem of my graphic card and not of the game...

Okay Guys. I found out how to change the language the proper way.
Go
to XCOM2\Binaries\Win64 and open steam_api.ini search language and
change it to your language "example= german,english,spanish ect."
Then open 3DMGAME.ini in the same folder.
And search language there. Do the same thing there. "example= german,english,spanish ect."
If this didnt help you then go and search Zakaros comment. Maybe it will work for you.

Here you have to copy the crack and do the steps in the manual. After this there should be a Win64 folder for the game and then have fun.

It says I have missing files :/
maybe it wasn't clear from my post. The game does not need to be installed.
When you extract the rar files you get the whole game. The only important steps after this are the the ones mentioned in the crack tutorial.
Copy the crack files in the right folder and execute this batch file. After this make the shortcut with -noRedScreens -review.
Then it should be working.

I'm struggling trying to get the game to work. I set the language, run the cpuid.exe, create shortcut and add "-noRedScreens -review" to the target location. Run it and it comes up with "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." I have removed the files and extracted the downloads again and still come up with the same issue. Currently running High-Spec Machine. I have no clue why this occurs, anyone got any insight?

What made me achieve this, was the next: copied crack - changed language in 3DMGAME.ini - changed regional settings to English (US) - added the line on the shortcut - launched CPUID.Patch (MUST BE DONE IN ADMIN MODE!!!) (I did it wrong a few times :D ). Dunno if all is needed, but the CPU patch kicked in to make the game run smoothly without time delays (it was very annoying). Not sure about the order, it was trial/error :D
If you set every soldier speaking / status report on in the game, you should hear them speaking in tutorial, it's also a good sign of the game is working properly. I hope my comment was useful.
