Anyone know anything about this series? I've always been interested in playing one of these games, but don't know which one to try. I guess my question is, "Which one is the best in the series?" I don't want to start with the worst one. This isn't a numbered sequel, which leads me to believe it's a crappy spinoff.
they all have their own charm to it. 1 is just for lore since thats where it all began. 2. is there for the fans who skipped 1 and played 2 or played the remake version for wii 3. is just alot of backtracking, but still okay to play. 4. has the annoying SLOW ITEM pickup and picking up or just looking for item, but still playable since on todays consoles, 5. its just pure fanservice. like, seriously. alot of eye candy costumes and characters, hard to get lost, everythings simple, go to ojbective and prevents you from exploring freely at points. but also my favorite because the character ladies look nice and its just more up to date with the running speed.
If you want a number, it will be IV. Why is not called FATAL FRAME IV? Because it tells the story before the 1st game (which is good since the first 3 games never tell you how it starts), that is why it is called Zero. Is this a good game? Yes. Is it better the the original 3? No. Will you ruin your experience if you play it before the other 3? A little bit, but not much. Hope this helps.
i haven't tried this one yet, but i would suggest try Fatal frame 3 also know in western/european region i believe as Project zero 3 the tormented on the PS2 not sure if it was remastered for the modern consoles but it runs smoothly in pcsx2 emulator even on an average pc nowdays. that was the first game of the series i tried, even tho i loved the previous ones, fatal frame 3 to me was the best of the 3
I really love this series ! i played the second one and the this one on wii and they were really good. I was really excited to see that they did this remake. This one is definitly my favorite because there are so many new things compared to the second but in my opinion you need to do the second one, this one and the 5. you can do it separatly because they tell different stories. Hope it will help you ^^ PS : i didn't play the 1 and 3 so i can't tell you how it is !
The Silent Hill 4 of the Fatal Frame series; not as good as the previous entries, but not too bad either, and certainly better than what came afterwards.

They are PS2 games so your gonna have to emulate them on PC.
