Ain't the worst but not good either of course it's early to judge much of it. -Whatever u do for big crafts get the hell away from the planet as quickly as u can before the game kills itself lol There seems to be some sort of connection with engines and the ground itself , the moment I cut the engines [or they explode] the fps goes up quite a bit. The further u get from the planet the lighter the load on the game. Seen this exact behavior on low and high end pcs , guess there is some shitty bottleneck on cpus.
Also dunno if it's just my crafts but SAS seems to go mental at high speeds
I've seen people complaining about SAS going nuts in Steam review, too. There's a lot of bugs and glitches in the EA version so you're not alone.
I'm fine with the OG KSP, tho. There's a whole pool of mods you can go through, that game is far greater even without buying any of the DLC while KSP2 is just a f#cking sweaty mess for no obvious reason.
Ah then I guess it was not my flying tin can xD and thank you for the compliment! Yeah I actually got soo feed up with the bugs and abysmal fps I actually went back and started playing ksp with a fk ton of mods parallax and blackrack's volumetric clouds have done all I wanted in the game honestly pure gold and fun. Couldn't agree more with what u have said! Here are some images of ksp 1 of stuff I started doing as a comparison to the second game:
It's just insane how far modding in the first game has come and honestly only thing I'm missing from the second game are the engine sounds and that nice smooth shininess of the craft's hull and [just my personal eye candy] the complete customizable colors of the whole craft. besides that I really find that game as an absolute downgrade for now xD
God forbid if I tried to build something like this in the second game...
The devs said that the first update will be dropped in.... a few weeks... fuk knows how many that means but IGG will most likely put the build version in the title once it starts being updated but looks like it will be slow as fk
It.... doesn't use the steam workshop, it'll probably just work with CKAN just like KSP1 did...
Meaning there's completely 0 difference between these game files and the steam version, even multiplayer will likely work given you're on the newest version since it literally has no DRM, though they might use some rudimentary check once MP is out to make sure it's associated with a unique steam account.
They'll use their launcher (The same one that currently exists on KSP1 since febuary of this year), so you won't be able to get in MP unless you manage to bypass it :/
I'll be honest... it ain't looking like a bright future for this one I really REALLY hope they get their sht together on optimisation cause boi... the streams and vids I have seen have some morbid fps...
0.2.1.0 is out with important gameplay fixes. Should be well playable now with these fixes, as save load/saving was an issue on the previous version and decouplers requiring two presses to stage properly.
freeze at mission control happened the first time I opened it, then not again.
sometimes the stages don't trigger, some of this is normal behavior as any speedup makes them not trigger and if triggering is unsafe it doesn't either, but very rarely it just straight up doesn't do anything
saving vehicles is shitty and sometimes doesn't work at all, restarting solved this for me, it's still shitty but it works now
The core game seems to function, I would still wait a lot though
hello ksp2 crashes every time i click start new campain. in debug it said: [ERR 11:38:34.428] "PQSColliderMesh(Clone)" mesh must have at least three distinct vertices to be a valid collision mesh.
The game is basically unusable in the state it was currently released, I would not recommend anyone to download it at this point, and I think everyone should wait around 1-2 weeks before they roll out basic bug fixes and performance patches
I have had this same issue of getting stuck on load screen. got passed it by changing my virtual mem.. (there are loads of youtube vids to show how to do this not going inot it just set it to max that you can) have game on a ssd. update graphics drivers . start game disable first time experience so the intro video doesnt play after loading(this causes not responding deadlock) when creating campaign. graphics settings all to low and disable everything you can (this step needs to be done everytime you start the game it auto sets it back to high) start the game takes about 5 min to load as soon as its done loading click the VAB button on the left to load in the VAB building if you take to long to click = not responding deadlock start again after the first time you managed to load the VAB you should be able to load in every time from then on... also to confirm that its not a hardware issue i tryed this on my wifes pc i3 8gig ram and gtx 950 it also works so not hardware related just shit coding
There is a high chance it's not u making any mistakes the game right now is in a rancid state not working or crashing for many... trust me ur better of going back to the old game with some mods and wait till [hopefully] this mess atleast will get optimized and stable.
Check out this amazing gameplay video of Kerbal Space Program 2's first 10 minutes! You won't want to miss this epic adventure through the galaxy. Watch as the player builds their own spaceship, designs their own missions, and explores new worlds with their team of lovable Kerbals. This is a must-see for any space exploration fan!

Also, that's a very cool aircraft (?) you've got!

Hopefully KSP2 will get more optimization, because KSP1 even with mods looks like a game from 2007.
Kerbal bought, cracked.
:-)
But i would have bought kerbal anyway because it will be much easier with mods in the long run.
