Same happened to me, i solved it by turning off firewall than unpacking the game folders and launching it through steamclient_loader, it seems windows fire wall blocks some files when you unpack one of them is this steamclient_loader. Hope it helps.
yeah it's a problem with the resolution of the game you just have to leave the default window settings. you just have to delete the folder that stores the configuration data.
That indeed seems to be the case since it was stated in the game's Steam page that players who purchased the 2 DLCs may receive an error message while redeeming the code. I guess we can only wait until the game gets updated here in order for the 2 DLCs to work.

For some reason, I can't transfer saves to any copy of this game (regardless of version) or else the game softlocks, if I leave the menu I end up with a broken map, and continuing to traverse said map results in the bottom image. The game works fine, but the textures end up becoming broken. The background texture glitch is fixed by pressing down on a warp stone and then leaving the menu via teleporting to another location or just press x. I also share the same errors as other users regarding the CG gallery being broken and costumes don't work. And I think Cocoa got a new CG, if I recall correctly, and if that's the case, the new CG's for the characters are broken as well.
And then there's a graphic problem with the menu even when it's working fine Hopefully this'll get fixed next update, but for now, I wanna know what's causing all of this
Just leaving a Note here: Currently, even if you download Heshiko's fix file and manage to fix the Softlock problem after chapter 1, the game currently have problems with the CG gallery and DLC ouftits because everyone that have uploaded the game on torrent sites uploaded them without those files (And trust me, I searched everywhere and no one had them). So for now, until someone is kind enough to upload those files somewhere we won't have the DLC's content.
I also will leave a note here: if you go to the artbook, and after the song disappeared and press "ESCAPE" and then the up arrow keys after that press "yes" or "Z" it will take you to a page place with empty blank spaces (I guess it's the art page 10/10 will do more research). after that chaos just press the "ESCAPE" button again and press the down arrow keys and press "Z" or "Yes" it will took you to the character chart. it's working normally. just press "No" or "X" to go back. if you wanna get back to the empty blank page just press the arrow up key and then press "Yes" or "Z" EDIT1: Do this after pressing the "X" or "NO" button of course)
Also there's the 3rd button, if you're on the character chart page, just pressed the "X" or "NO" button and after that the down arrow keys and press "Z" or "Yes" it's uhmm... Boss chart?, Oh and of course use "X" or "No" to go back. IDK i never dare myself to use it actually :v oh if you're still on the empty blank page just press the down arrow key 2 times until you hear a bleep 2 times of course. and after that press "Z" or "Yes" The 4th Button will took you to the Main Menu. Word of advice: Kids, update your WinRAR. Also, I didn't mean the saves (that's easy indeed) I meant the specific achievements. Passing saves doesn't carry those (or at least not all of them).

I was using V1.91 normally (finished the halloween + "Is the Order a DLC?" and was 27/27 with 94% map and 87% items, so it went smooth as hell), then updated it to V1.99f and in Rabi-Ribi Town it just soft-locks all my inputs, even when i press Esc, it does nothing... (loaded the V1.91 file on Rabi town's savepoint, nothing. played a new game, went normal until i reached the town and every input was gone again...)
i decided to try and figure out what was causing it, but the only thing i found was that even if you transfer save files to another copy of the game in the same version, it softlocks regardless
I find the way to fix the problem. just change the DLC subscriptions like : Default = 0 431620 = 1 431621 = 1 532021 = 1 547660 = 1 And you can run the game without opening the chrome automatically.
There seems to be a problem with the dlc's. Try looking at the SmartSteamEmu configuration settings file, go find the DLC subscription part and change default = "1" to "0". That should disable the DLC and let you play past chapter one. Though changing it back to "1" then going to the save file on or after chapter 1 would open a lot of steam tabs (I mean a lot).

I tried it, ir doesnt save, maybe the Steamlauncher is a 32bit version (or something is fucked up in folder properties because no matter how much I twist it running as Admin it just doesnt save or neither does it create the save folder, which is nonexistant in the RAR btw)

If you are having Steam page issues and trying to use old saves files, don't bother because I had to start a new game to even try playing. Seems like the old save files need Steam to convert the 1.85v save files to 1.91v, so this is either a temporary fix or the only solution for this issue. (Edit: Actually, it seems to happen when I am on any chapter other than the prologue. So this was a temporary fix that was going to fail. Hopefully a fix will come up soon.)
A few weeks ago I read a comment, which was deleted, that said the game directory should be in English. Didn't try with this version, but with the 1.85 worked. Will try with this soon and see.
So I've recently started playing this and I'm pretty sure this is an apparent issue especially after reading the comments, and that's the DLCs. I've reached the part in the game so far where I'm in the home with the wardrobe that should allow me to use the "Is the order a DLC?", however, it doesn't seem to be working at the moment. For me didn't work at all. Game crashes with a shortly appearing red screen after starting "launcher.exe". If I start "rabi-ribi.exe" it brings me to the game's page on Steam.
i seem to have the same problem like amino something or whatever his name or user was, i can't play chapter one after the whole dialogues with rumi and the game freezes after that when rumi left and google started bringing me lots of crap like going to the steam page and spamming too much tabs of the same address. if you can fix this problem i'd be happy to play it again, but for now i'm just going to play another version of that game but i hope the dlc's are also solved including chapter 1 itself

I tried to start it and it bring me to Steam when I try to start up the game.... If I use the launcher it brings the main menu..I load a save and my browser opens 100 pages instead of loading the save...
When I start chapter one, when Rumi gets out of the door the game spam-opens my browser with the Rabi-Ribi Steam page. As others have said here, I believe it's caused by missing DLC. The house contains DLC content (the wardrobe) and when it tries to open the DLC (by Steam ID) and doesn't find it it just opens the game's Steam page

affectd nothing. I think the DLC content isnt 100% in the folders, because when you get to the main room in the game ( wherre you change outfits) is in the DLC content. So the game is trying to load it. i'll check a few more things out before giving up
playing through the prologue that seems to be the case. Of course, you can play on your old files (provided you didn't save last on Rabi-rabi), however you can never save there, nor enter Rumi's house. As far as we know even entering Miriam's shop could be dangerous. So if you're running low on items and planning to win the DLC, I hope you have some serious skills backing you, 'cause winning it itemless seems rather suicidal on a blind run (and even then that's assuming the DLC content NEVER forces you into either Rabi-Rabi or Rumi's)

I suspect it's related to how the game is now just one link, it used to be divided in two parts for 1.75. Also, it's not that it crashes on chapter 1. It crashes in the center of Rabi-rabi Town, on both the inside of Rumi's house and the save point near it.

This game is so amazing. Pretty much the best metroidvania I've ever played, and I've played too many to count. Everything about the game is perfect. That soundtrack is the best part. I've been listening to the OST in my car while I drive a lot. I love this game, I'm so addicted to it!
I have one thought on your issue. When I downloaded the game and attempted to start it up, I had thought it hadn't, but instead of opening as the main window it did not on my PC at least. I saw the symbol of it on my task bar and it started in windowed mode and didn't become the main window open. If it happened to me, I'm sure I'm not the only person it's happened to. 理由是我根本不知道他們誰是誰，就怕誤刪
而且突然遺失了檔案，也可能導致遊戲冒出更多問題
我確定 SmartSteamEmu 跟遊戲的執行檔是在同一個主資料夾上，也確認儲存變更，可是DLC還是有加載。請問是哪出了問題?

結果真的有碰到跟你一樣的問題
它竟然不工作！
這實在是很詭異，但也說不通
因為如果無法工作，我不可能拿出來分享
所以我進行了幾個測試
發現了一個很詭異的問題
經過整理之後得出以下結果：
＂遊戲的主資料夾不能放在其它資料夾之下＂
我特別為了這次測試開了個新資料夾
把遊戲的拷貝轉移過去用於測試
結果發現設定檔沒有作用！
＂遊戲的資料夾不能用中文命名＂
我發現上述問題後，就把測試用的遊戲資料夾獨立出來
然後在後面加上「測試用」以作區別
結果設定檔一樣沒有用，DLC照常載入！
因此要讓設定檔生效，還請注意一些條件
請不要將遊戲的主資料夾歸類到其它資料夾中
像是 D:\rabi ribi\ Rabi.Ribi.UPRPRC.Edition.v1.91
資料夾路徑也絕對不要有任何一個中文
像是 D:\遊戲\Rabi.Ribi.UPRPRC.Edition.v1.91
或是 D:\Rabi ribi 1.91版本
如果你這麼做，它的設定不會工作！
最後，順便給你看一下測試成功後會碰上的畫面：
「桌面」也是一個位在使用者名稱資料夾之下的資料夾
你不能把遊戲放在裡面，因為這樣設定不會工作
＂資料夾路徑也絕對不要有任何一個中文＂
包括遊戲資料夾之前的所有資料夾都不行
況且如果它放在其他資料夾下，它會失靈
就是請給它放在硬碟槽下，不要放在任何資料夾中
請確保它是C:\Rabi.Ribi.UPRPRC.Edition.v1.91

(Edit: Actually, it seems to happen when I am on any chapter other than the prologue. So this was a temporary fix that was going to fail. Hopefully a fix will come up soon.)
It worked for me.
Didn't try with this version, but with the 1.85 worked.

it updated ver 1.91 but i have same problem
and i'm thankful for that.
now is the problem. when i get to her master in rabi town. and go her home.
and when the master left, here 'i' and fairy.
and game is give me lots and lots of steam page about perchacing this game.
so i can't proceed because it cause my computer overrun it's process speed.
alt + ctrl + del couldn't work. (it's so raggy computer won't show me the task manager)
please help me and everybody playing it.
When the game has almost finished loading, it always crashes. So I was wondering if there's a way to fix it.

If I use the launcher it brings the main menu..I load a save and my browser opens 100 pages instead of loading the save...

Aaaand I replied to the wrong person.
I can not play the whole game to know if it works well or not. If we only play every 15 minutes/ 1 game, we will need 25 hours a day to play the games that we upload daily, but sorry, only 24 hours a day.
people only knows complain.. :/

I think the DLC content isnt 100% in the folders, because when you get to the main room in the game ( wherre you change outfits) is in the DLC content.
So the game is trying to load it. i'll check a few more things out before giving up
As soon as chapter one starts, the cutscne freezes, and then google chrome opens up 8 million windows of the rabi ribi steam store page

Also, it's not that it crashes on chapter 1. It crashes in the center of Rabi-rabi Town, on both the inside of Rumi's house and the save point near it.

Rabi-Ribi has about 50+ tracks to its OST, four of which are royalty-free music from the internet. We’ve replaced those with brand new tracks from 3R2 and Triodust in version 1.8! Find them in the game at places like night starting forest and special boss fights. The new tracks “NIGHTWALKER”, “PLAN B”, “MELTING POINT”, “AZURE” can also be found in the OST!

Download and extract on that same folder.
Here's my way
You NEET to have this game with v1.10(Important)
Then just unpack and overwrite one folder and two files "data, rabiribi.exe, pack.kanobi"
(Don't forget backup game saves and original v1.1.0 game once your v1.2.0 going crash)
Click the launcher.exe in the v1.1.0 and have fun(That's why v1.1.0 is important)
P.S. I'm not sure whether it works fine in the future but it can open the game at least
