thats the opening to the game lmao, it works like that on a legit playthrough for a bit, also it's 1990s graphics, 1980s computers wouldn't render so well
To fix the error: Copy your setup folder to the root harddrive directory. (Ex: c:/HighOnLife) and run it. If there's too many sub-folders, it screws up the installation. Worked for me.
have played for HOURS now, have yet only had one minor bug to where it didn allow me to buy at the pawn shop. but a restart and im good to go. using a 2070s latest drivers, 5800x cpu, 32gb 8x4 sitcks of ram (all this overclocked) irrelevant however. the game runs fine. be sure your uptodate. ill also add im on the 4th gun you can use in game.

downloading 10 parts at 3mbs. if i was to pause said parts and do only 5/4 parts it would near double in speed. torrents are slow nowdays. use megaup net, or the bottom downloader.
OH THANK CHRIST you can adjust how much the guns talk outside of cutscenes. Set that shit to be as low as possible if you don't want to want to shoot your own brains out.
It is, it's Justin Roiland voicing the gun(Or one of the guns at least). This game was made by Squanch Games, Inc. which is Roiland's videogame company. They have made other games before such as Accounting+ and Trover Saves The World and Roiland voiced characters in both games and they all end up sounding like Morty.
