It would be nice to have some English support in the future. Maybe an English interface at the least and then later if there's more demand, English subtitles for an experience that is more near complete (Discounting English audio which is next to impossible to happen)!
Very Confused

Use Textractor / VNR / Chiitranslite to translate the in game text
You can find the tutorial on the internet.

Thanks for the information though I'm an "old hand" at this. I have used AGTH (Anime Games Text Hooker from HongFire) and Atlas (Japanese-English dictionary) to play non-English translated VNs before. Sometimes the machine translation works but many times, something gets "Lost in the translation" and the resulting sentences returned make no sense at all since it is not a "natural speaker" translation but rather a "word" for "word" translation. And yes, I can see that this is, I think, most likely a Chinese VN (based on the Chinese characters used in the game's description and it having a Chinese interface and Chinese subtitles(?) but yet Japanese, not Chinese, audio. This is confusing at first but then why is there no Japanese interface included if it is in fact, a Japanese VN? Unless, the Chinese interface can be inherently understood by Japanese players, so no Japanese interface is required) and I also know that Japanese Kanji is based off of Chinese (Han) characters. ("Kanji" literally means "Han [Chinese] characters").
Thanks

Hmm ... It seems that Textractor and Chii Trans Lite also use machine translation, so it's probably the same as using AGTH and Atlas. I found a YouTube tutorial about using VNR (Visual Novel Reader) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LJ5RN1GLIw and an updated page for VNR. It also appears that VNR uses machine translation. Machine translated VNs ares not nearly as good as fan translated VNs but it's the next best think when a fan translated VN or even better yet, an officially translated VN, like one from MangaGamer or Project Sekai, is not available.
Very Confused

P.S. - I'm still waiting for someone to translate Popotan! AGTH only translates Japanese sentences into pure gibberish for that VN.

BTW - To whet more people's appetite for an English translation of Popotan, the uncensored, opening animation for the game is available on YouTube -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h61ItNVLb8

And the Caramel Dancing segment from the VN which has long become an internet meme (Translated with English lyrics) is also on YouTube -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0rLLoHR-Do

Is this game Popotan any good? Looks like it's pretty old but hasn't been translated yet which means it wasn't as popular with the chaps west of the land of rising sun. Regardless, the opening seems good! Most VNs now just paste over static images perhaps because of monetary constraints but damn if this short animation didn't put a smile on my face.

Uhh. . I ain't gonna be reading all of that lol

If you are not satisfied with the machine translation's result, I recommend you to start learning some japanese.

How can you say that you "ain't gonna be reading all of that" when you're an avid fan of VNs? Half of the enjoyment of a VN is about reading text while the other half is about appreciating CGs (Or H-CGs in eroges). Just like in a VN, if you "skip" some text then you may miss an important part of the whole story which may lead to misunderstanding! LOL!
Laugh

To clear things up, I basically said that machine translation is not as good as a fan or official translation because something "gets lost" with "word" for "word", machine translation resulting in gibberish sentences. Despite that, machine translation is still better than no translation.

Take heart, my friend. There may still be hope for playing (somewhat) Japanese and Chinese VNs. See the above posts.
Thumbs Up
