almost finished the game, guys this is a 10/10 indie game. It Is so stupid fun and drips with style and passion. the pixel art is god tier and every time you think you have finished getting new mechanics another random dude or event will show up and open up a whole new branch of gameplay mechanics.

Getting a recources load error and its telling me that steam needs to verify its integrity on v1.0.0.964. I have tried several things but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
Had the same problem, even without anti-virus, or administrator things. After some research I found how to fix that for me... I just put the game folder on the main hard disk. Just try moving it, it doesn't take much time.
For v1.0.0.947 There are 2 files inside the zip folder, one is called DaveTheDiver.exe, that opens steam. There is another file in the same folder called steamclient_loader.exe, open that one instead to open the game.
You tried turn off your AV before extracted? i think it blocked/deleted some cracked files.
BTW, The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a vírus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

I FOUND A WAY TO MAKE THE EARLY ACCESS v0.6 SAVE FILES TO WORK.
To transfer your save files from v0.6 Early Access to the new 1.0+ version of IGG-GAMES, you must do the following.
Just open the new 1.0 version, and start a new game. Create an autosave, and then exit the game.
Then, go into this directory C:\Users<YourUserNameHere>\AppData\LocalLow and delete the "nexon" folder (C:\Users<YourUserNameHere>\AppData\LocalLow\nexon). (Or atleast make a copy of it)
Go to your Public Documents, then go to Steam, then go to CODEX and find the folder that corresponds to Dave The Diver, mine is 1868140. There, you will see a folder called "remote" which contains all of your current save files from the v0.6 Early Access. Copy all of these files and save them somewhere. If you can't find the directory, its this: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\1868140\remote
Finally, we need to access where the new 1.0+ version of Dave The Diver saves its games. I found that, it saves it in the Appdata-Roaming folder: C:\Users<YourUserNameHere>\AppData\Roaming, specifically at the folder "Goldberg SteamEmu Saves". So, go into that folder and open the folder corresponding to Dave The Diver, again, mine is 1868140 - so open that folder, then paste your saves from the Early Access to that folder and when you open the game again, it should see your previous saves from Early Access. The full directory of where the new saves is located is C:\Users\F\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\1868140\remote
It's prepackaged with the crack. If you have not edited "preserve zone information in file attachments" in Group Policy editor, then you will need to unblock the file. You can do this by right clicking the .rar, going to properties, and unchecking block at the bottom. Then extract the folder from the .rar, and run the Dave The Diver.exe in Dave.the.Diver.v1.0.0.964\game
cant get it to run on v1.0.0.964. saw comments about running steamloader.exe but that file doesnt exist. tried downloading and extracting with antivirus off, those files still dont exist

I tried and it work. I think it's about steamclient. When you download steam it put the steamclient thing in your disk (likely disk C) so when you put the game file and the steamclient in same place magic happen i guess. I downloaded with av off btw.
I have found that the save location is %appdata%\LocalLow\nexon\DAVE THE DIVER\SteamSData\ the old files will be in \1638. Just copied them to \6144 that should be there in the same location.
First, locate your old save files. They should be in the location that I posted. Second, locate your new save location. I suppose you would need to install and the open the game at least once for the folders to generate. Once you figured out which folder is old, which folder is new, copied the contents in the old save folder toe the new one.
I don't think that's the problem, even if I delete every save file, uninstall the game and reinstall it, it always syncs with the new save from the new version.
I did try many ways to copy old save files to the new save folder, it always gets overwritten when I start the game. It seems like the save is also saved somewhere else, not only the %LocalLow% location.
Another person commented that they have the same overwriting problem. Were your old save from the v0.6.1.532? If it's older that might be case? Otherwise I have no idea.

Seems like the updated game file may have not extracted correctly, or you did not over-write the files when copying. I'd extract the recent update, and see if you have the same problem.
I found the files finally. They are located in Dave.the.Diver.v(version)\game\DaveTheDiver_Data\Plugins\x86_64. They are labelled steam_*. Copy the files with those labels from the older update to the new one. Fish don't flicker anymore. I assume they updated the assets in that folder recently. I edited my post to reflect my findings.
What I downloaded (7/8/2023, game version 1.0.0.964, host megaup) worked out of the box. Did not need to install or crack anything. Extracted to my pirate game storage folder expecting to have to install but no, I just ran the main .exe and it played just fine.
If your save is from Early Access v0.6 or something, there is no way to get your save to the newer version. There is only one work around which is to ask another person for their save file and make it your own.
When I try to open steam opens instead of the game and a message appears saying "There was an error opening this game: no licenses", if anyone has any idea for how to solve this is going to be very helpful, thanks :)

Game isn't worth the headache. Its a bunch of controller-destroying button mashing, stick thrashing, and QTEs. And endless, endless text boxes and cutscenes to skip through. And that is the entirety of the game.
hEY. Me it was easy : I put both same games (old version & new version) in the same file. Now open the new one .exe (v1.0.0.980) and you should continue with all your saves !

And about patching, for big games it's quite helpful, imagine with a game over 80GB in size and it's updated regularly. If every update (about 2-3 days for example) you need to re-download 80GB, that's catastrophic, I guess nobody wants to keep playing the latest version of that game anymore :D

It doesn't work anymore when I get to the Enter the Ocean chapter. It doesn't show the buttons and I can't go to the sea, can't shop and go back to the restaurant.

I didn't try with another language, so I don't know if it's possible or not. But you can try, by: open file "...\DaveTheDiver_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_emu.ini" with notepad. Replace the line "Language=english" with your language. If it is supported, then you will see it change in the game, otherwise it is not supported.
Crack is still active, or in other words it will always work, because this game is offline -_-....
Simply open the .ISO file, copy all the files in the "RUNE" folder and paste it where you installed the game.

This error usually occurs when your windows lacks some drivers needed to start the game/software. You should update all drivers for windows. Or you can also install everything according to the instructions in the file "_INSTALL TUTORIAL.txt". I usually install those right after installing windows, and you will almost never have problems with any game/software in the future.

I would definitely recommend this game. I stopped about 4 hours in but its worth playing. i stopped because I want the full release and not just a demo. im going to wait for the finished product. Im excited to see where this is headed.
