Ur save folder is in User Appdate Locallaw Gameloft DreamLight Valley In that folder there is a folder that named usaing bunch of numbers.That folder contains ur save data.Every time u run game after new update game creates new numbered folder with 4 file.So just find the one that has more than 4 files and copy paste on the new folder.Dont delete the previos folder because it sometime doesnt register so rerun the game it should work.
Anyone know if you can connect to internet on this? There is a chest by the pond that requires a connection, also I'm not to sure Ill be getting all the items I order through the catalog if I'm not connected.

Any idea how to access any of the Ultimate Edition items in this IGG version? Can I get the DLC content another way than the mailbox (my mailbox is not connected online)...
Overall soulless and a little buggy. Feels like a middle-ground between totally meaningless "time management" phone games and actual life sims like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, My Time At Portia, etc. Seems like they will over time monetize the game really poorly and just make it a tedious chore to play like every other "games as a service" game.
As it is it just feels pointless to play, there are a lot better games than this in this genre. And the Kingdom Hearts series should scratch your Disney superfan itch.
Also, I love how my options for skin color were pasty ghost-like white, rosy blushing red, 35 different shades of brown, or 3 different vitiligo skins, something that effects <1% of the population. Also, if you have vitiligo you likely have very unique blotches on your skin, not one of the 3 presets they give you. It's always funny to see examples of PC nonsense being functionally disruptive while also being hollow and ineffectual.
One aspect I enjoy, even tho it needs a lot of polishing and more stuff, is the building and walking around the place you build. kinda cool. Sad that they chose this path for the game. But it's disney, so it's no big suprise.
i fixed the game by copying the new files and overwriting an older version of the game. Luckily , i kept an installer of every old build with each update.
Wait I figured out you just copy the files ddv_Data to UnityPlayer.dll from the newer version and then overwrite these same files in an older version build.
You download both of the parts, select both zipfiles, do extract here with 7zip/winrar, and it should be one folder with the files I mentioned along with other files.
I had the same thoughts as you (also because I wanted to get rid of those blue chests that spawn) and wanted to test if it would work, so I ended up buying the game. I copied all my game and save files beforehand to attempt transfer them and recover all my gameplay progress (and if it didn't work I would still have my old game files to fall back on after refunding the game).
Someone commented a while back where the save files are located: "Your savegame is located in steam_NUMBER_r folder in "%AppData%..\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley"".
And then I just copied the entire IGG DDV game folder onto my desktop.
This was a process of trial and error on my part. I realized that the save files itself won't work on restoring your progress because the game overwrites them once you launch the game (I kept the save files afterwards anyways though, just in case I need them in the future). On the other hand, copying/pasting all the IGG DDV game files to replace the Steam DDV game files won't work either because you won't be able to connect online, even if you launch through Steam. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game because I didn't know which file/folder wasn't allowing me to connect to the server. After skimming through the IGG DDV files I copied beforehand, I noticed that the "StreamingAssets" folder contained all the files that save where objects and other things are placed, etc.
TLDR: you're going to need to copy/paste the "StreamingAssets" folder from the IGG DDV game files in order to replace the Steam one so you can recover/load all the game progress that you already have from the cracked version.
1. copy/paste IGG DDV game folder, or just the "StreamingAssets" folder, onto desktop (and the save files if you want to be extra careful) 2. buy/download DDV from Steam 3. launch the game then close 4. copy/paste IGG DDV "StreamingAssets" into Steam DDV folder and replace all files 5. launch the game then enjoy DDV with all your progress/hours of work still there with full access to cloud saving/online servers

For me, replacing "StreamingAssets" folder doesn't work for me, I'm getting stuck on loading bar. My working method is replace the save file in "%AppData%..\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley", there I got 2 steam_NUMBER_r folders, one is from mod version and other is from steam version. Just copy all files from mod version steam_NUMBER_r to steam version steam_NUMBER_r. Remember to make a backup copy before making changes in case something went wrong.

True. Of course it's going to be free later, but it depends if people want to wait until an undisclosed time in 2023 for the free-to-play version (could be early or late 2023 since they never specified a date for its release). I'd say if you want it and have the money to spare then get it because the online version has cloud saving and includes the event page where you can unlock in-game currency (and open the unmovable blue chests) plus different exclusive content/furniture/etc. after each update.

hello im having an issue after the new update (scar update) the game isn't connecting to network anymore so i'm unable to use the cloud save feature that i have been using on the prev vers. i checked the windows network firewall option and i enabled access for dreamlight valley so idk why the issue persists :( does anyone know a fix? btw ty for the game <3
yes i had and still have a cracked ver of this game that connects to the internet and im cloud saving my progress so that when the game officially launches and becomes free to play i can obvsly get the legitimate version by then and sync my progress. also i got that cracked ver of the game from the website called cracked-games.org but the prob is they still havent updated the game ver there and i dont think they will anytime soon so i got the scar update from here but sadly its not connecting to the internet and im unable to use cloudsave ;(

yes I have the first ver too it seems like thats the only ver connecting to the internet. i will keep playing this ver till the game is made free to play bcz its the only ver from where i can sync data through cloud save
Hey, I just saw in an other comment that you don't have to transfer anything and the new exe just uses the same Gameloft folder in the Appdata/Locallow path where your savefile is located. I tried it and it worked, so just delete the old Dreamlight Valley folder and launch from the new exe you downloaded.
it didn't work for me, I deleted the old exe but when I start in the new one, it only appears to start new game, it doesn't appear to continue in the old save
Press L in hopes that the information on what items you need is there, finish the quest - maybe it will go away.. The game is very buggy and there are not much fixes that go beyond "reinstall" and "restart".

Shit antivirus tried to prevent people from going to that site because of copyright issues. You can add domain to except in your AV. Temporarily, we have changed to another domain.
It works, but the loading got stuck. I can't get past the loading screen. I only can get past the Disney logo and the Gameloft logo, after that then it gets stuck. Has anyone got the same problem? How to fix this? I think it needs an update.
