human gameplay is weak AF. swinging is missing the exploration button during the swing. and the most effective way to move is to get close and low next to building and zip around. i do mean ZIP. swinging is the slower method.

Also for this movement you need to be near the rooftops. The combat is EXACTLY like the arkham games, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. It's simply faster, less clunky and rewards arial combat more than the Arkham games.. QTE can be disabled so they aren't even an issue if you don't like them. The swinging is the best it's ever been in a Spider Man game, no other game does swinging better than this one. The responsiveness, the flow, the feel, it's all damn near perfect. You really have no fucking clue that you're even talking about

You can't change opponent mid como, without the use of dodge. To move to the next. You can't punch 2 people at the same combo. Hile dosent move from the fist target. Like tlyou can't start pinching someone and move you stick to the guy next to him and continue there. You have to start a whole new combo. Unless you dodge to him. The combat is locked on tonone person.
For some persons that asked, to change the language you need to download the language file (French language, German language...) named FRENCH.rar for example then you copy the folder "asset_archive" where is the game, and finally you change the flt.ini language line with your language (language=french for example) If the file is on "read only" just uncheck the box on the properties file while you edit it. Now you can start the game and toggle the language and it's done!
As much as I love this game I'l stick to the original ps4 version. Not only did I platinum that one a LONG time ago but also I don't agree with a change that was made in the remaster
The one I have an issue with is the redesign of Peter's model. They say it was to make him look more like the motion capture artist but he looks way more like Tom Holland and someone so young looking doesn't fit the lore that this game builds up of a Peter that's been fighting crime for YEARS now. Heck the redesign makes him almost look as young as Miles Morales. Almost.
That pre order content is just an early unlock, nothing you can't get in game by playing normally. It should have all the suits that were later added via content updates though.
True, as of now people can only disable models or replace textures. Seems like importing new models isn't possible yet. But its an improvement over the child we got. Even though historically Spider-Man is a teen.
Not in this game he's not. I believe in the non remastered version he was in his 20's and had been doing the Spider-Man gig for years now. That's why making him look so young just doesn't work with the story they made for the game. As for importing new models they will need specific tools for that and I doubt Insomniac will provide those tools so they will have to be made from scratch
One thing you have to keep in mind though is that, sure he's in his 20's BUT he's gone through more shit than anyone in their 20's has ever gone through. It's not just the villains he had to fight, it's the personal loss he's gone through, all that shit ages you like crazy. Spider-Man is pretty tragic when you think about it.

Not really. You need proprietary tools to be able to rip the assets from the ISO, tools that are not exactly widely available. Like I said, completely different architecture from a PC game and it's also true for these PC ports of Sony exclusive games. It's why games like, for example, Horizon Zero Dawn doesn't have a lot of model based mods
There's also been other games from Insomniac on PC for a while now so I'm sure there will be mods within a month. (Although those games haven't been modded much due to a lack of interest.)
The only Spider-Man game I've played was based on the Spider-Man 2 movie and that one was great even though it had set points you could swing from.
I like this game a lot too as it assists you a lot in your swinging while also giving you a lot of freedom to do what you want to do. Do some tricks, make a sharp turn, dive, boost yourself, etc. Its quite good imo, I like it. And I haven't felt like the game forced me to finish any animations, I feel like the limits that are set are done on purpose to remove some unrealistic and jarring movement like in the older games.
You played the PC version of Web Of Shadows I assume? Because that game has like two different versions and one is VERY inferior to the other. As for this game don't listen to those people saying the swinging sucks or whatever or that the combat locks you to one opponent, they are dead wrong. The combat is as fluid as in the Arkham games, especially when you start mixing in gadgets with your punches and kicks and the web singing is the best it's ever been

Help. I have an older version of this FLT crack after installing it says it can only run on win10 1909 or above. Why is this a thing? I have win10 1809 and I cannot update. What's the workaround?
Edit: Found a solution to trick the game. Even then the new update crashes.
that's the thing... I can't afford to update because I have a custom built system that requires 1809 or older to run. I was hoping there was a workaround since 1909 isn't much of an evolutionizing update for windows10.
I think either windows blocked the file after being downloaded, or the program wasn't run as an administrator. You can unblock the file by right clicking. Go into properties, and untick the box for "block file."
Personally I had to extract the entire iso, because the installer locks up my pc coming directly from the iso.

strange, but I have 1060 GTX and the game is regardless of the graphics setting just unplayable, like Ma GPU usage is aboot 2% and 5fps accordingly. Kinda jobby, isn't it
In this game my GPU usage isn't reporting correctly either, NVIDIA's overlay is saying 99% but taskmanager below 10%. Check taskmanager and make sure your CPU isn't getting hammered. Make sure the game is installed on an SSD and not a HDD as that can have major impact on this game's performance (although not as much as you describe).
Maybe there's some bug, but these are a few things you can check.

So, I think the photo mode of this game is either bugged or it needs a crack fix or something? Because all the functions works normally it seems, but the "selfie" option is not working on my end. I tried this option with Spiderman not moving at all, running, slinging, etc.. it simply doesn't work, the option is greyed out. Is this happening with everyone else?
I can't find them either. When you take a "photo" by pressing the right analog, the HUD disappears for a while.. then it returns... I have no idea were these images are supposed to be stored. As for the selfies, I figured it out, it's not about navigating to the selfie menu and that's it, you have to change the camera mode at the first menu... a bit confusing, but at least the option is available
That's not a solution. Learning a completely different language, especially if you're an adult, is not something you can just DO. It takes a lot of time, a lot of studying and a lot of exposure. That's why big games come with different language options and yes, this one does too. FTL however removes all language packs from their releases except for English to...make the total download smaller/faster? I honestly don't know why they do it.
I am aware learning a language is hard but that's why I added I can't imagine how people go by without knowing English.. As English is a language I have needed every single day of my life, even as a kid while living in Europe.
And not everyone needs it because nowadays everything is translated into several languages, it's the standard. Yeah English is an important language but it's not as critical to know it as it used to be since every piece of media is now translated into several different languages, especially AAA games. all recent sony PC ports have been almost flawless in quality. god of war, spiderman, days gone, stray, sifu, these are literally perfect PC ports with very little glitches or even no glitches whatsoever. the spiderman port is amazing
except that ports are almost like games on their own that look and play like the originals, so what you just sayed makes no sense what does ps4/5 spiderman has to do with pc version here

the game is saving save files somewhere else on your computer everytime you launch the game, probably in the original location if you chose custom directory and they are typically just numbered folders eg, 793849827, if you can find the save folder and move it to your games save or profile folder where the application is then it should solve your problem, there will be a duplicate save folder for everytime you launch the game and you will have to do trial and error to find it or move all of the numbered folders

Error means that something in your game is corrupt. Try reinstalling again but if not possible you might need to extract original files and do it again. Make sure to turn off your virus security to ensure it doesn't interfere

i tried updating to V1.824.1.0 but it says 20 files caused an error and couldnt be patched; dag, g00s 000 to 008, 016, 018, 020, 026, 030, 031, 032, 033, and toc
The new update 1.824 works perfectly fine on my laptop, I'm using windows defender antivirus and just make sure to run the update first like it says in the "how to update file"
updating the game version to V1.824.1.0 gave me an 0xc0000142 error. After that, I tried to reverse the update back to the previous version which is V1.817.1.0 and the game work normally. Is there any reason that this happen or fix for this.
Ps: yes I have read the readme.txt on how to update the game and followed it and I have also disabled the windows defender anti virus

GOT IT! I was also having an issue until i had a quick laugh and realized that (TLDR - Right click and open with windows explorer or if 'mount' is an option) it is an iso file, and instead of it being mounted, It was being opened by the zip program by default, therefore simply partially unzipping it leading to install error It needs to be mounted and not unzipped. Right click to open with windows explorer or mount option (same thing, but windows 11 has open with windows instead of mount for my wording

I think your AV deleted cracked file. flt.ini and steam...dll are cracked files. If you deleted one of them, that mean game not cracked, it will send you to steam page.
BTW, if you still have cracked files, but game dont open, i think you can try update latest driver for your windows, and try start game again.
Have you clicked that? If not, you need to manually move the files. These files are the crack. Make sure to move those into your spider-man folder and overwrite the existing files as those aren't cracked.
Right where it shows, within the installer image under /flt FLT is the release group, often you see the crack in a folder named after the release group.
Are you on Windows 10 with recent updates or Windows 11? Is your hardware fast enough? What are your specs? Did you apply the crack? If not sure, check out my response to nicolaxgo and do that.

I'm having a terrible FPS though I have a mid range set up. Ryzen 5 2600 paired with a GTX 1660 super but I have like maximum of 30 FPS. I tried some fixes I saw from YT but still the same.
Try to update the GeForce Nvidia. There's a new update it might help. I know it r moves the pop-up screen that's says your graphics card isent compatible.

I actually like the swinging. Its pretty good for me. I dunno what you are talking about, since I Iike to work for the speed and not just set on auto key like a gold digging MMORPGr in Runescape.
Though it is interesting you think that. I played Web of Shadows and Spiderman 2 PC and the former has much better swinging. PC port was slaughtered and there was no PS2 for me to play with at the time. So this spiderman gave me what I wanted in a Spiderman game.
This game was the first to introduce the stick to the building web mechanic. Unfortunately they also made it so that You had to time the speed boost. To just the right time or it will fail and you will flop like a worn on a hook.
That web swing mech gave way to the other type we got thought the years.
But they didn't use the "timing method"
You had the web swing. R. And then boost L.
And that's it that's all it took. And the swing was it. zip to the buildings or to points was mainly used in more liner game like shattered dimensions. Game that where tight and had closed spaces.
Only in the amazing Spider-Man they did the zip in the open world. And that always worked. No matter were you where. Which helpd change direction. And send you flying and kissing the sky.

The zip is weak. And dosent send you flying only a small direction change.
The swing dosent have a boost button, you need to wait till the end and let go. In order for it to send you up (or use that building point to point jump. Which gives you a small jump forward. Not up. Or you let go by pressing the jump which still send you forward. And not up.
Play the amazing Spider-Man 2 you will see the difference.
The PC port was my childhood and, not gonna lie, told me that the PS2 would be even worse than the shit I played back in the day.
Must have been nice playing the old PS2 game of that day. Though the game seems a bit dated in certain aspects that were improved in the PS4 game, the web slinging is okay. My first real experience of open world web slinging was Spider Man Web of Shadows. Dark, and funny, but the voice actor for that game was so whiny I could punch his throat.
From what I can tell, the failure of web zipping at the right time is why they nerfed the zipping. Wont attract customers if you introduce a failure to launch Spider man webslinging at the right time. Not saying its bad, but this would have turned about half the audience for not paying attention to screen prompts everytime they needed to get around.

Yup HDD took me an hour to get to like 25% or so. (Install might take 3-4 hours if you're doing it on a HDD.) It was especially slow because I downloaded to the same drive I wanted to install to so it was reading and writing at the same time. While reading can be quite fast, writing on a HDD is really slow for big files.

I think your AV deleted this file, it's a crack file. The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
Just an update, tried 3 dirrent drives, no AV on.. No files are or were getting deleted, everything is there. Nothing works, same error every time. Redownloading the whole file again and trying once again.. Will update in a day or 2 when it's done downloading
I suggest using Mullvad VPN, its the most private VPN service out there. No account needed, no payment details needed, you can mail them cash and pay a linear fee, 5 bucks per month, even if you pay for 12 months its still 5 bucks. Otherwise Proton is a free alternative but free VPN services are often slow, Proton was fine for me though, still prefer Mullvad if I need it. But my goverment doesn't care about torrenting.
That's only the case if the torrent is being monitored by the copyright holder and sends a complaint to your ISP, and tbh it's almost always a hollow threat anyways. But what you could do instead is use a program called JDownloader2, which gets around the speed restrictions of most download sites by opening more connections. The easiest method I've found using it is starting the megaup downloads in my browser, copying the direct download links into jdl2, and then cancelling the browser downloads.
I found out how to solve this bug. It is ridiculous. You just need to leave the General Volume at 10 (without changing it). The bug happens when you change the General Volume (you can change the other volumes).

Torrents are really good when a lot of people are downloading them as every part that's downloaded is also getting seeded. And some good people keep seeding for a while after.
With 20m per part my torrent still finished faster, and that's in the early hours where not a lot of seeders where active. Plus you can pause and resume a torrent any time you want while a direct download completes for that part or you need to re-download it again.

I like this game a lot too as it assists you a lot in your swinging while also giving you a lot of freedom to do what you want to do. Do some tricks, make a sharp turn, dive, boost yourself, etc. Its quite good imo, I like it. And I haven't felt like the game forced me to finish any animations, I feel like the limits that are set are done on purpose to remove some unrealistic and jarring movement like in the older games.

Check taskmanager and make sure your CPU isn't getting hammered.
Make sure the game is installed on an SSD and not a HDD as that can have major impact on this game's performance (although not as much as you describe).
Maybe there's some bug, but these are a few things you can check.

I was also having an issue until i had a quick laugh and realized that
(TLDR - Right click and open with windows explorer or if 'mount' is an option)
it is an iso file, and instead of it being mounted, It was being opened by the zip program by default, therefore simply partially unzipping it leading to install error
It needs to be mounted and not unzipped.
Right click to open with windows explorer or mount option (same thing, but windows 11 has open with windows instead of mount for my wording
Try turning it off then try again.

Have you clicked that? If not, you need to manually move the files.
These files are the crack.
Make sure to move those into your spider-man folder and overwrite the existing files as those aren't cracked.
FLT is the release group, often you see the crack in a folder named after the release group.

I played for like 1- 1/2 hours. Just swinging and you know what...
I hate I even more!! And it's not like I am bad at it. I was getting those stupid achievement left and right just for swinging. And I still HATE IT.
so much work to get a proper swing. And the feel of speed. Those a$#holes took the ps2 games mechanic of timing the moment to moment actions or you won't swing get the swing right and slow down. And gave it steroids.
They made the most relaxing and fun part. Work!!! You have to work forn it for no reason and to use that stupid jump from point to point more then you swing!!! And ya!! The swing it self and the way it speeds up and the end and you have no controll over it it sh$t!!!

I got the game here. And found out that the PC isent fully compatible and that the gameplay itself isent what I wanted.

That's how I found the original Galactic Civilizations. I grabbed it, played for a few hours, loved it, and went out and bought it. And I have every game in the series now and have gotten countless friends to buy them.

Though it is interesting you think that. I played Web of Shadows and Spiderman 2 PC and the former has much better swinging. PC port was slaughtered and there was no PS2 for me to play with at the time. So this spiderman gave me what I wanted in a Spiderman game.

This game was the first to introduce the stick to the building web mechanic. Unfortunately they also made it so that You had to time the speed boost. To just the right time or it will fail and you will flop like a worn on a hook.
That web swing mech gave way to the other type we got thought the years.
But they didn't use the "timing method"
You had the web swing. R. And then boost L.
And that's it that's all it took. And the swing was it.
zip to the buildings or to points was mainly used in more liner game like shattered dimensions. Game that where tight and had closed spaces.
Only in the amazing Spider-Man they did the zip in the open world. And that always worked. No matter were you where. Which helpd change direction. And send you flying and kissing the sky.

The zip is weak. And dosent send you flying only a small direction change.
The swing dosent have a boost button, you need to wait till the end and let go. In order for it to send you up (or use that building point to point jump. Which gives you a small jump forward. Not up. Or you let go by pressing the jump which still send you forward. And not up.

Must have been nice playing the old PS2 game of that day. Though the game seems a bit dated in certain aspects that were improved in the PS4 game, the web slinging is okay. My first real experience of open world web slinging was Spider Man Web of Shadows. Dark, and funny, but the voice actor for that game was so whiny I could punch his throat.
From what I can tell, the failure of web zipping at the right time is why they nerfed the zipping. Wont attract customers if you introduce a failure to launch Spider man webslinging at the right time. Not saying its bad, but this would have turned about half the audience for not paying attention to screen prompts everytime they needed to get around.
and yep half of the audience do like the old way and guess which half i'am at.

I click install and the game will not install
Because a HDD takes a long time so the bar won't be green for a few minutes.
It was especially slow because I downloaded to the same drive I wanted to install to so it was reading and writing at the same time.
While reading can be quite fast, writing on a HDD is really slow for big files.

Otherwise Proton is a free alternative but free VPN services are often slow, Proton was fine for me though, still prefer Mullvad if I need it. But my goverment doesn't care about torrenting.
I found out how to solve this bug. It is ridiculous. You just need to leave the General Volume at 10 (without changing it).
The bug happens when you change the General Volume (you can change the other volumes).

Je veux dire, j'ai fais l'installe dans le bon répertoire, ect... Et quand je clique sur le .exe il ne ce passe rien, pas même une action dans le processus dans le gestionnaire des tâches. Ça un lien avec steam. J'ai une assez bonne configue, ça ne vient pas de là... Est-ce que tu comprends ? Et as-tu une idée. Car pour un jeu steam, il y a une manipulation particulière non ? (même si pour le moment rien, ne me renvois vers steam) (Juste, il ne ce passe rien, pas de message d'erreur, rien) !!! ^^

Torrents are really good when a lot of people are downloading them as every part that's downloaded is also getting seeded. And some good people keep seeding for a while after.
If you can, keep seeding the torrent till you require the diskspace so your fellow downloaders can enjoy some fast speeds.
With 20m per part my torrent still finished faster, and that's in the early hours where not a lot of seeders where active. Plus you can pause and resume a torrent any time you want while a direct download completes for that part or you need to re-download it again.
These big file-shares is exactly what torrents are good for.
