I'm sick of this, seriously when will i ever find another text-based game like "war for the west" or that russian plague dude? it's like the genre has been hijacked!
The point is I'd rather be forced to play as a non-binary rainbow unicornkin, but have the game actually react to my character as a part of the world. Rater than be allowed to pick any of the 666 genders as long as I play a generic self-insert.
There are better games for me to customize my character however I want. A CYOA story is about my choices, and having a generic self-insert protagonist limits them.
