It's cracked. I've already finished a playthrough so I know it works.
You're probably booting the game from the wrong executable and that's why it doesn't work. Don't use "TheDragonAndTheDjinn.exe" to run the game. Every game that has been cracked with SmartSteamEmu needs to be opened via "LAUNCHER.exe" or "LAUNCHER_x64.exe". The original .exe won't work.
you could probably just slap the steam dlls and the launcher.exe files from any of the 400 other text adventures using that engine if you were really desperate to play this one
Not going to lie, I thought this was a genius move at first... But I couldn't get it to work, even changed the line in the smartsteamemu.ini to the game's actual .exe.
Still see no option for Eldritch being whose identity is beyond all mortal comprehension and mental sanity.
