i am also a fan of this series. Recent days i was trying to turn dynasty warriors 8 into a anime game by editing normal mapping. But sadly I forgot to back up the local archives and game files, half a year of effort was wasted. F**k me, indeed.
It wasn't a playstation exclusive. it was a console exclusive. just like Warriors Orochi 2 up to this point. this game is basically base from the PS4 release.

There's Warriors Orochi 1 through 4 so you also missed 2. 2 is also on ps2 if you want to emulate it. And yes the story of 3 follows right after the end of the story of 2 but you really don't need to play it to understand 3. And yeah the numbering system in the Japanese version is weird.
Then in that case you have played Both Warriors Orochi 1 and 2. As I said in a previous comment the story of 3 picks up right where 2 left off after the defeat of Shin Orochi(I REFUSE to call him Orochi X) with the introduction of a new main threat

yeah they made it stupid easier to get characters, (unlocking 8 characters, some additional just by watching cutscenes) but doesnt mean i dont enjoy em both. And yes, the bond event isnt as great as 3.
I wouldn't say mounting is easier, more or less the same to be honest. WO4 introduced magic which honestly is what ruined the game for me. Not only did it all feel very same-y but it made things way too easy, plus the DW characters were SEVERELY nerfed. also I hated the introduction of the Greek/Norse gods, I felt that was amazingly stupid

They really don't. From Warriors Orochi 1-3 both the Samurai and Dynasty characters are balanced. But in WO4 since there was the introduction of Hyper attacks in the SW franchise, the DW characters felt way weaker exactly because they don't have those hyper attacks or anything equivalent to them. Plus this franchise was always centered around Asian mythology, both from Japan and China so introducing a completely different mythology to it makes zero sense. It felt like they were trying to reboot the series but it failed to do so completely. Plus WO3 has THE best crossover/guest characters, something 4 lacks. WO4 also lacks the costume variety that SO3 has, especially the Strikeforce costumes which are AMAZING. Now I'm not saying WO3 is perfect, the way it makes you repeat some stages can get a little dull and yes WO4 has the better graphics but the fact that characters are so unbalanced makes me not want to play it ever gain
why this game KOEI? we already have WO4 and its a great game. They should release the PS4 version of Samurai 4-II or DW8 XLCE to pc with more better graphics and compatibility.
Because this game is MILES better than WO4 in every single way possible and fans have been asking for a PC port of it for a LONG time. Samurai Warriors 4-II is already on ps4 as is DW8 XLCE so I really don't know what you're going on about.

As a big fan of the Warriors games, this one is the absolute best of them all. Great story that follow sup from Warriors Orochi 2, a huge number of characters and the same gameplay that fans have grown to love.

I'd play this game for hours on end on my PS Vita, as Ryu Hayabusa! This is probably the Warriors game that I spent the most hours on.
Once I heard the news of it being released on PC, I yelled; "LET'S FUCKING GOOOO!!"
