It's somewhat different, food and water aren't really consumed during gameplay and are simply requirements for unlocking endings. Being captured by enemies and escaping usually is a bit less interesting but there is one pretty involved section dedicated to being a captive with no way to escape. Overall I like it more I think even if the lack of more involved survival elements is a shame.
