Still can't figure out how checking boxes confirming who you like to bang helps the world building, but okay. Unlesssss this is secretly a dating game.
From playing a little bit of it, it seems to be a reactionary game, rather than a game meeting a desired niche, created by LGBTQ+ folks to push back on general 'hetero-normative' 'patriarchal' nuclear families. Therefore, I theorize the identity stuff makes it in not because it's relevant to the story (it's not, outside of a few half assed 'romance' candidates, whose arcs are just erotica, so I guess a 'dating' game, but the 'dating game' portion is just some shitty one off porn stories), but because it seeks to emulate 'inclusiveness'.
This is totally a dating game, isn't it?
