When a PC port greets you with "Please don't turn off your console ..." you know you're in for a treat. 😄 No mouse and keyboard support aaand my Xbox One controller didn't work (fix posted below works). Plus, they couldn't even be bothered to switch A and B buttons! (And of course there are no graphics settings.)
And WTH is wrong with the audio? Dialog sounds like mp3 at 32kbps, Jesus!
No kidding, I could make a better port in less than a day. Where do they get these people? Fiverr?
How did you people managed to get the the controller fix to work?
My other games can detect my controller and work just fine... except for this one. I installed DS4, hoping it would fix the issue, but nope. Hiding the DS4 controller in the options did nothing. USB or Bluetooth made no difference.
Game works great with the Controller fix, although sometimes you have to press the "B" button quite a few times before you're able to interact with things for some reason There's not really any graphics settings at all, but the game looks okay, especially for a Switch port :) Plus it runs really well, always stuck at 144 FPS for me Read a few comments saying that it ran at 60 for them so I'm assuming that the game's tied to your refresh rate, which is always better than if it was actually stuck at 60 Other than that button issue I mentioned, it runs flawlessly! I've seen a few bits of Deadly Premonition 1 before, and I thought I'd end up uninstalling this one as I didn't really play the first one, but about 3 hours later, here I am still loving it It's very... campy, weird and charming, and I'm loving every second of it.
Yup, it was a mess at launch. It was dropping frames at best to put a positive spin on it. Still does though it's slightly less after some updates getting rid of the major issues.
It should be noted that generally errors like that tend to sour the anticipation of fans, but surprising the vast majority are kinda expectant of some jank to be there for this franchise. It's a refreshing response; like interacting with Postal fans really.

I'm on Win10 and have a PS4 controller.
