after more research in the game folder and in my computer, it seems that the game is saved here:

C:\Users[user]\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\1084600\remote

It can have several safeguards (personally I have 21), I advise you either to keep all of them (for more safety) or to keep the most recent. In any case you must keep the ".cfg" document.

In addition, from the second underscore onwards, you have the game version of your savegame

O__O Mines showing 196 I think something has been wrong with my saves since yesterday before i downloaded the new version. My saves just won't save or delete properly. Maybe i need to clean the files lol because autosave def messed up. Never saves the newest save

Just start the game via steamclient_loader.exe in the same folder as sandrock.exe ;-)

iirc its still in early access, ( i haven't reached that part yet) so maybe content beyond that isn't in the game yet

Uhh I haven't tried this with a gamepad, but have you tried using xpadder and mapping the controls to the keyboard bindings?
