Everyone's information was really useful. And I'll tell you what I found. I don't need an old file. So if the version changed and you suddenly became a new character when you started playing the game, try it like below.
Start with a new character.
Become an administrator with the command 'adminauth'.
"ban" my previous character. (Administrator command)
Check the "ban" character information. (Administrator command)
Check the "uAcc" information. (My character)
Unban the ban with the "unban" command. (Administrator command)
\VRising_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings\settings\user_steam_id.txt. to modify and save "uAcc".
Clear the last auto save located here: AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\v1[list of games youve started]
You can start the game and access it with the previous character.

To the guys that are having problems get V rising to work. Try to install Spacewar. When i played V Rising yesterday, Steam said i was playing Spacewar, so i think this could be the missing part. To install Spacewar open Steam, open up your Browser and type in your browser: steam://install/480/
When i try to host a private game for myself it goes: Starting up > Connecting > Server starting up > Connecting (1/5) > Error: Server Error. I also edited the ServerHostSettings still doesnt work cuz it always opens up a new folder since u cant load your previous private game cuz u cant connect to it... Enabling lan also doesnt work. What a useless crack at this point.
Edit: U have to open the game > Play > Online Play > Show all servers > Open the V Rising Server exe > let that run through > Refresh server list > Connect to the shown server > Just to be stuck in connecting screen cuz the server doesnt stay online. (((((: Means go buy the game to play it.
So basically you try to connect to an online server playing a cracked game? Not all games do work online when they are cracked. Also, why would you make a private "server/game" for yourself and go through the whole V Rising Server.exe and Server list, when you can click on play > private game and make it a private, solo game with a local savefile you can load into when you want to play? Since you said you wanted it for yourself, this would normally be the better option, which is also working. All you have to do is then go on "Continue" and load the save file listed below, not the ones above. Not really useless when you do it like this.
No, i tried to get on a solo game to test the game out. But whatever i did nothing worked. When i try to do play > private game i still get the server error. Theres also no ''continue'' after opening a private game cuz i cant connect to it when making one.
So, you're saying that when you go to Play > private game and don't change a thing, tick single player, no password and don't tick LAN-Server and go start a new game that you can't connect? I don't understand. Because that is all you'd have to do to play it solo. You don't have to start the server.exe or anything, only start the game and do the steps above and that's literally it.
I'm not sure if the server.exe is responsible for your problem tbh. I've never used it and the game works fine for me. Maybe a reinstall and not touching the server.exe might do it.

You said you edited the ServerHostSettings, right? which one? Because I have the feeling that it might be the reason. The is a ServerHostSetting in the VRising_Data folder and one buried in an Appdata folder.
I edited the appdata one but thats kinda useless since i cant connect to those and every time i try to open a private game it will simply make another one so editing those is pointless. I didnt edited the one in the data one tho.
Ok, I just tested it with 57444 without doing anything else to it. Private game works fine for me and gets me to the character creation. What I'll try is to make the changes to the GameNation server you mentioned and see if those changes messes up the private game connection in any way.
Unfortunately, I can't get the GameNation server to run because I can't download their Network on their site rn, since Anonfiles is down at the moment.
Well yeah, because it builds a new private server where your save files are getting stored for it. Which is also where it gets it's information from for that server. Since you can't connect to it, it doesn't do anything for you. Try a reinstall of the game. Maybe the VRisingServer.exe has messed something up massively which messes with the server connection in general, private or otherwise. Since it's only one part to download, it shouldn't be to much of a hassle to reinstall. Maybe this helps though. Something definitely is messed up.
I deleted the whole game then unpacked it again, still the same problem. I even downlaoded it without firewall acticated so there shouldnt be anything missing.
Ok, that's weird. I also just saw that they updated it to v0.6.5.57444. I have the 57108 version. Give me a couple minutes and I'll test it out with the new 57444 version. If it gives me the same problems, then the version is messed up.

Well that could be the only explenation cuz it aint working. Im playing rn on the GameNation server mentioned in a comment here and it works perfectly fine, but this aint just about me thats about everyone trying to play the game solo cuz the game nation one is pvp only and needs its own vrising download.

you can recover your old character, there is a tutorial below on how to do it, but if you created or deleted any save... it will no longer be possible...

In the new install folder there is a steam settings file that needs to be updated to match what it used to be.
In %GAMEINSTALL%\VRising_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings\settings\user_steam_id.txt
You need to replace the contents of the file with the steam user id used for the previous client connection, that ways the server will serve up the correct character to you.
You can grab that ID by running the last version after removing your new autosaves (mentioned in the last post). Then opening the console in-game after loading into the game by hitting the ` key (or whatever you might have bound to the console). After that run the listusers command and you should be the only user there. the uAcc number is the same number you'll need to put in the %GAMEINSTALL%\VRising_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings\settings\user_steam_id.txt file. Close the game out completely. Then replace the id in this file and reopen the new version of the game. Your character from before should now load.
Note: You have to remove the new autosaves otherwise the server will not load the world and you won't be able to load your old character in order to get the uAcc number for the character. So if you (or anyone) has already dumped time into the new character you should be able to save the new autosaves, load the old game and get your ID, then copy the autosaves back over after you get your ID. But I have not tried that so can't confirm it won't cause any issues (I can't see how it would though, for what that's worth.)

Hi, I had made a new character with the new version and played for a few hours. When I logged back in, I was at the character creation screen. If I check the current ID and when I make a new character, both IDs are the same. Played again for a few hours but when I exit the game, the next time I load the world I have to make a new one. Any idea what the issue is? I have only made local games and checked"Lan" before I host the server

I'd like to add that before you can type listusers, you have to type adminauth. Also, the saves folder is in AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\v1[list of games youve started] check the date it was changed to know which one is the correct one, if you have more than 1.

I'm having the same issue. For starters, until it's resolved you can move the newly generated autosaves from your saves folder in %USERFOLDER%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\v1%RANDOMGUID% and then load the game using the old version and it will let you start playing as your original character again.
I've so far tracked it down to the registered client's user ID or name not matching the one used in the last version, I'm trying to figure out how we set that ourselves so we can keep our saved cracked characters. I'll follow up here if I figure it out.
did you manage to make online work? for me it shows all the servers, including the one my friend is playing on the official game, but i get an error when trying to connect
There is nothing that can't be cracked. There are only lazy "crackers". With enough patience, everything can be cracked. Case in point, SAO Fatal Bullet which was supposed to be unckrackable ever, and took them only 3 months to do it. If you have the patience and wait enough, you can get anything for free.
well, afaik it's server based and you can host your own so my guess is they either found a way to hijack or emulate the backend or something like that. or it's just the game files again like it was with atlas shrug
If you cant play game, since this game always requires connection to dev's server. So you can get around that bug, by disconnecting the game from the internet (doing it from the firewall). Or more simply, you create the file "disable_lan_only.txt" inside the path "...\VRising_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_settings"
game keep saying connection issue and lag . m playing solo only privet game . tryed everything. even after disconnecting from internet game runs but keep saying connection issue every 5-10 sec and lag. (pc spect highend)
Go to AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\settings then change the account_name.txt and user_steam_id.txt to your previous char settings. That works for me. But that will affect all goldberg games saves.
Runs pretty fine playing solo, on a Phenom x3, 12gb ram, GTX660Ti with everything on Medium and running server on same machine... CPU is down to 2.5ghz from original 3.2ghz and I see no reason to up it. Next boss in kill list is Tritan so I've progressed quite a while.
you are using the golbert version, there is one of skidrowreloaded that does not have that problem, your normal name is seen, and you can change the name to everything without a bug, that is, horses, chests, slaves, everything, I hope it helps you mate
I made a character on the first version, when you update the game you have to create a new one, and then those character starts appearing probably as the files gets more and more corrupted when playing on the same world as before

Hi guys, can i get some help? when i start the game i get audio of the intro but no video. same when i start the server in LAN, i load into character create but all i see is the options to change how the character but nothing else. after creating the character (that i couldnt see) it shows the tutorial buttons to press but just a black screen otherwise. You can create another steam account if you want. In fact, I have never been banned from steam by cracked multiplayer games like this (at least in my 10+ years experience, my account is still alive)
I'd just setup a throwaway Steam account with a different email to be safe. For years now Steam doesn't seem to ban these pirated games, but they may in the future who knows

If so this is what i did to fix it.
Go to V Rising folder. Then VRising_server
Launch VRisingServer.exe with admin.
Now open the game and now u can play it.
