But that's the best part of the game; Naming a character after yourself and becoming the strongest being in the universe. And having lots of different classes to use without being stuck with whatever the story characters' abilities are.
There's still plenty of story and cutscenes with the story characters, and you can eventually unlock them as well as a bunch of cameo characters in the post-game if you really want story characters. Most of the game consists of the post-game anyway.
You DON'T become the strongest tho, you literally don't exist as far as the game and characters are concern, it's pretty boring compared to playing an actual character.
Uh, yes you do? Grind up enough and you can one shot Zetta himself. Who cares if the story doesn't make special mention of you? I'd rather have my own character than being forced to roleplay some character I may or may not like. Besides, if you really want, once you unlock the story characters as useable characters, you could just make one of them the controlled character. But I dunno why you'd want to be someone other than yourself, especially if you don't get any say in the story either way.

You're still as clueless as ever. I want to play me, so I make a generic character with my name, customize it the way I want (through rebirths, et cetera), and eventually become the strongest being in the entire game. I don't want to play as generic character #33825 and have no choice in the matter. Hell, story characters in this game can't even reincarnate into other classes, so they're stuck with whatever the game gives them. As such, besides their higher base stats (which doesn't matter after passives and at max), they're inferior to "generic" characters.
