wouldn't say it's cheap, since, well, you can do a lot MORE than PPG, from creating your own ANYTHING, in GAME, to AI(something PPG community has kind of always wanted) to controllable things(again, something the PPG community has wanted as well) to creating your own LIVING entities(something you CAN'T do in PPG, without it just being some machine) to making maps (that, in PPG modding, died out REAL quick, there was what? around ten map mods?)
you can make literally anything in this game, which, in its own way, is already making itself better than PPG, while PPG is fun, this allows you to literally do so much more than PPG yourself, and EASILY so, sure maybe you don't know how to make certain things immediately, but you can learn, if you yah know... aren't lazy.
it also has tutorials of how to use and make certain things, as well as teach you how to make things, by SHOWING you how to make something.

you know what else is a cheap knock off? PPG... of what? Mutilate-a-doll 2... which has SO much more stuff in it, and has its own item/object maker as a seperate application.
so if anything, both PPG and AS are "cheap knock offs" of 0rava's Mutilate-a-Doll 2...
which is still around and updated last I checked by the way.
totally a cheap knock off though, even though AS has so much more potential, and while has little now is literally just recently more released, so it's gonna have less, just like how PPG had basically fuck all when IT released initially
Of course, it's garbage, because unlike the People Playground, the Action Sandbox has the ability to reassign materials, import images, create your own people and control them, and even upload particle spritesheets.
