sadly i dont think theyll EVER remaster or port legend of dragoon.....so the turn style based games just arent for me even tho i did enjoy this back then..
This isn't emulation, this is a semi remaster of the old game with higher quality models and backgrounds, bug fixes, improved graphics and some extra options
But that's the thing, you can do all that with emulation. Fans in their basements can retexture a 20+ years old game, common users like me, you and everyone else here can easily setup a emulator with upscales and etc.. It's not space science. I am not saying these kind of "remasters" should be free, of course not, but 20 bucks for 20 years old games with such basic improvements... that is just a wrong price imo. 5 bucks at best, if not less
Yep, exactly. For example take the FF7 port for PC (the original game, not the "remake), fans retextured the whole thing, they even changed the character models, the UI, upscaled the background, etc.. they did that with no resources at all, no money from Square. And when Square is supposed to do their own "remaster" attempt of these games, they do the bare minimum and then charge 20 bucks, 30 bucks even? That's bullshit, there's no better word to describe this, it's bullshit
Avoid this POS. Even putting multiple technical failures and graphical censoring aside, the entire script has been cucked by some SJW asshole. They managed to make a mid game even more mid.
A lot of people bitching about stability issues such as framrates and what not on steam reviews. Still gonna try this anyways. Never got around to beating chrono cross as a kid.
Amazing how so many of these triple A devs can't even do a proper remaster of games they are responsible for creating in the first place, Square Enix has become such an unbelievable joke since those days it hurts just thinking about it.
Regardless, this one game was a letdown even back in 1999, especially compared to the almighty Chrono Trigger; although I must admit the soundtrack is wonderful.
if youre looking for an upgrade of the original dont bother framerate is entirely to slow for the level of graphics. Only download if you want to play the original.
so this is just the same game as the emulator? no diferences like unique music as the FF pixel remasters did? if that so then this is pointless, the rom and the emulator can do the same with less resources
・3D models converted to HD ・Refined character illustrations ・Higher-quality background music ・Switch enemy encounters on or off ・Background filter feature ・Battle enhancement features to make combat easier ・Auto-battle function ・Switch between imitation pixel font and HD font ・Change screen resolution
But judging from the reviews, it's still a terrible buggy and broken port.
most of those features the emulators can do it and even better, they dont have an auto battle but surely tthat remaster doesnt have a fast- forward like any emulator which its a lot better

For a game that ran on a potato with 33mhz
It is noted that the 3D models now have HD quality.
