There has still never been a good pirate game besides Sid Meier's Pirates.

Absolutely true. Anyone who knows anything about pirates knows they plied their trade through fear and intimidation, swooping in on fast ships, raising the black flag and terrifying opposing captains into giving away their valuables. These were basically muggings on the high seas. But every pirate game since then has been about regular combat between large ships which is absurd. In fact, in a great many so-called "pirate" games you would be hard pressed to actually commit an act of piracy! These games simply aren't about that at all.

To be fair it's not really a pirate game. You can choose between factions.

Played around with it a bit, it is original (meaning something that you can't find in other games.) but a bit shallow.

Not really something to invest a lot of time in. Sea Combat is a bit tedious, there seems to be a wind component i think, there are white streaks in the sky that seem to indicate the wind direction and i also feel like it's helping a bit...you are a bit faster going with the wind.

I really would love to have a game like this when it would be a bit more intricate and expansive. There are some upgrades but nothing to write home about and in general all the mechanics are just scratching the surface.

I do like that they limited trade to basic goods, there are 3 types of goods, common, luxury and something else i don't remember :)

Fort assaults and boardings play borderline weird.

I think it's a nice idea for a game but this one doesn't really deliver.

shouldn't you be organizing a straight pride parade because your masculinity is being threatened?

Steam reviews seem to be good think i give it a try.

Would be nice to have a game with ship to ship combat though i hope it's at least a bit realistic with wind etc.

https://steamdb.info/app/1148560/config/
--enable-vr

For any game, go to SteamDB, Configuration and look for the different launch options. This is the popup a user would see when a game has multiple ways of launching, for example with and without Anti-Cheat or x64/x86 if the developer made different launch options for it. Just learnt this myself, hope it works.

I would suggest running SteamVR before you launch the game, sometimes that helps.
