Found a fix

  1. you need to open the game.exe file with Steamless
  2. unpack Steamless, drag Ancient.exe to Steamless.exe
  3. let Steamless unpack the file
  4. rename the new file from ANCIENT.exe.unpacked.exe to ANCIENT.exe, replace it with the original or delete the original and just start it without launcher.exe
  5. Don't forget to have fun playing the game
