Apparently the western version has like 8 hours of bonus content, to make up for the fact that there is no porn and some characters were aged up highschool->university.
The patch has just been canceled. The dude that was gonna do it thought that he would be able to simply port the translation back to the original and tweak the changes, but this release is beyond fucked (localization, translation and editing issues), so the work is much bigger than he thought it would be, and doesn't think is feasible for one person to do it alone.
