I'm getting kinda pissed off, why do steam keep allowing this sh** on their site. Not only that, these people who make these games have the guts to put a price on it. All these should be free to play.
While it may be shit, it's good to see many games being made as slowly those creators are getting better. You are right that a high price is unfair (8$) yet game-making isn't easy by any stretch. Asking for some remuneration for their work( to me a coffee price seems best.. so 2$) is more than fair and needed if they want to make it a full time and get better... some games can take from a week to a few months or even years but that's AAA territory and love for the craft level indies.
