We have thousand of ways today to recognize if a Steam hosted game is a fast cashgrab made by one person with the Unreal and Unity beginner creator and license tools: thumbnail and marketing illustrations video trailer video gameplay screenshots number of user reviews number of user bad reviews
When there is no consistence or artistic personal style there is always lack of resources in production or a mediocre productive vision. This game is clearly an Horizon Zero Dawn clone wannabe and it's harder than usual to identify how much it sucks because there is:
one good marketing illustration used also in the thumbnail
one refined ui and menus with his own custom character font and icons
a couple of screenshots with hints of a vast and various quest intensive gameplay. Then...we just have to watch the trailer to see that:
the "good graphic" is just the unreal engine with anonymous free and paid asset packs
the trailer just shows the user walking and running without even trying to exibith the combat mechanics (its abysmal flaws).
The problem of this game and games like this it's not that they suck (and they sucks a lot) but that often they are bigger than a couple of gb and for most of us it doesn't worth neither the time and space to save if for archival and collection purposes in an hard drive...
Benchmark Gameplay. RTX 3060 Ti - i7 4790k Some FPS Drop into 30 FPS and Suddenly Lost the Movements Control when the Giant Spider Come https://youtu.be/C6moxlk3aiU
In all honesty, your CPU is pretty old and is probably bottlenecking your GPU. For a better gameplay experience, turn off Afterburner and just don't worry. Do you constantly check your speedometer when driving?
I guess its because of this game Engine. with this combination could surpass 60 fps for Cyberpunk and Many other decent New Games, why should Wasting more Money? Old but Gold
Getting a new CPU isn't a waste. Maybe to you it is as you don't see the value in it. The 4790k is old, outdated and won't be able to keep up much longer with a GPU like that. I had a 4770k and it could barely keep up with a 5700xt, and in GPU-intensive games mind you, launch something latency sensitive like Far Cry 5 and the CPU shows it's walking cane. Yeah the game is unoptimized, obviously, probably because it's some no name developer's first project but that's besides the point. Don't fool yourself and rather than being a hard headed fool realise that you'll need to make another difficult investment into your build, but rather than it being a stupid one (given the current GPU market) it'll be fairly reasonable and a lot more impactful to your daily tasks with your PC.
I thought this was just an early access game, the game wasn't perfect yet ..... but when I saw the price on Steam was around $6, I couldn't believe it. For free games, I don't think it's worth playing
This game is such a buggy mess that you probably won't even get 60 fps with an RTX 3090. And even if you could, it's still a waste of time. Play AC Valhalla or Horizon Zero Dawn instead and don't bother.
