The file inside is named "setup_the_chronicles_of_myrtana_archolos_1.2.4_(german)_(56535)". Anybody knows if it's an 100% German version or if it includes other European languages?
There seems to be no voice acting when I install the English version. I know that the only VA is in Polish but here I have none. There are missing files in \The Chronicles Of Myrtana Archolos\Data which should be named KM_Speech1PL.mod, KM_Speech2PL.mod and so on.
...Alright so I found the missing files through dark magic and selling my soul to Bill Gates. Just download this archive and unzip the 6 .mod files into the DATA folder of your Archolos install.
The path should look like this: C:\Games\The Chronicles Of Myrtana Archolos\Data
It free though assume this here is including the Base game Gold that is required obviously. And ya its polish made so expect polish bits including their voices.
I feel like it is likely just for hardcore fans which there are plenty, but with its limitations in modding and fact game itself is dated that I would expect low improvements over base game and nothing new (ie no terrific companions/romance/brand new features/huge choices/rp features/etc...).
But if that all ok/good then you should enjoy it. (personally skipping)
Yep! Strangely, although I always loved Gothic II, I'll also skip it. I'm very nostalgic and play lots of old games, but some things are just way too outdated to be enjoyed. And this one doesn't seem to bring anything really exciting to the original game after all.
I would play a remastered version of the original game, and I do still mod it. But on the other hand, I wouldn't spend time on a stand-alone total conversion. It's like people who still mod Skyrim 10 years later... It feels like it's time to let it go. And that's coming from a Gothic II fan.
Don't worry - it's a standalone mod. It has been ages since I saw Gothic 2... but... after seeing the menu without mouse (it works but only scrolling and RMB) and some weird polish/russian words in Options... It's a must for Gothic2 fans, but after playing Oblivion and Skyrim, this game is just... meh. :-) Going back to Mount & Blade 2. Peace.
Since 1.0 there has been so many nice patches! Some bugs were really annoying (disappearing companions, weapon changing after battle...), but I really love M&B series, I always return to it. Now I am waiting for 1.7 update. I even instaled Viking Conquest again and refreshed my old save - day 560, army of 990 loyal archers and dar red colours of West Seaxe over 75 % of map. :-) Peace!
I have original game but maybe saomeone here can help - I have windows 10, after instal this game it's working, but now every time i try run it it's run for 1s and stop working, how to fix this?
I'm gonna get a copy so I can try it in first person. A steam post says you get first person by, " changing the .ini file setting - zDontSwitchToThirdPerson=0 to zDontSwitchToThirdPerson=1 - I haven't tried it yet.
i recommend getting it from here https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-chronicles-of-myrtana then just keep updating with patches they release there this version is gog version which for some reason when u choose english download on gog it doesnt have polish voice acting

These files can be found inside https://store.steampowered.com/app/1495950/The_Chronicles_Of_Myrtana_Archolos__Polish_Language_Pack/ though.
The path should look like this: C:\Games\The Chronicles Of Myrtana Archolos\Data

I asked IGG team to include them into their next update so hopefully it'll be official in a few days.
And ya its polish made so expect polish bits including their voices.
