It's look like this version 1.03 suffered from save files bug, that can sometime crashes the game on load (basically partially corrupting them). The best is to use the 1.0/Day One version if you want to play (temporarily), wait for GSG to fix this stupid remaster.

In my case, my save files was corrupted for 2 times (multiple slots and workaround [which only works sometime] aren't helping at all).

Should I laugh at a company who undoubtedly used the mobile version of the game try to pretty it up, gotten so lazy that they relied on AI to do the beautification artistry and text, use the entire and untouched data (locked licensed music and yes, even "Hot Coffee" was still in there), turncoating on the modding community whenever it fits the company, the lack of testing, the unmitigated attempt to sell this thing, or remembering the CEO of Take 2 mentioning that they will not cut corners in quality?

Absolutely. So much that it should be a mandate to do so.
