Having watched the lead dev's video on the whole fiasco, and reading his legally backed statement on the issue, I'm inclined to believe him and his friends over his ex. It really seems to me like she is just incredibly unhinged or malicious.
Twitter is also sperging out on his game's Steam Page. He's been repeatedly defending himself across the discussions and he hasn't contradicted himself once.
From what I've read up on so far I'm more inclined to believe the workers/devs that left the project because of the CEO of Dangen Entertainment, the company that published the game. If it was just one person accusing the guy I'd be more skeptic but it's not, it's more than one person.
i would have believed you if i didn't do some research on my own and found out that "The woman is a confirmed schizo who's been doing this to indie game devs for years." a lot of info was given out just by searching.

It seems you didn't do enough research because it wasn't just ONE person that came out with similar stories, it was several, one of them had fuck all to do with hypnotism. Not to mention all the shit the CEO did before the game even came out such as breaking NDAs, misappropriating funds, mismanaging the entire project among other things

meh whatever dude, pretty much most pirates dont care if devs are nice guys or complete as.sholes, racists, freaks or whatever the fu.ck they are although i have my own code of honor, if they come here and are very polite and they dont whine, i respect them and i dont steal/download their work if they do future updates and expansions even if they tell me to do it
