Oh yes finally,THX IGG,for this long awaited RPG🤗🤖🤓😍

Edit: After 1 hour playing, nope it is disappointing😡.
Needs way more polishing/tuning like farer view(way to close),
better combat+ sound(right now just no fun at all,at least for me,and combat sound is so annoying). This game needs alot updates.maybe then i´ll give it a second try. There is potential but not now.🤔

I didn't notice what it is you're talking about. The combat changes the soulslike formula. You have a LOT of stamina compared to those games. You can dash like 8 to 10 times in a row from the start and I've noticed extra stamina options already. Its like Ninja Gaiden how you are expected to dash mid-combo. It seems the more you hit in a combo the harder you hit too.

The view is supposed to make giving someone your back actually dangerous. In 3d games you can't see the guy shooting you from behind either.

The sounds could be more satisfying, its not really something I notice in games.

I'm only saying this for the people avoiding it because of your comment, I don't care if you come back to the game. I think the game is fine how it is and I like how its not just a 1 for 1 soulslike like all the others try to be. I'd rather they work on content or more combat options.

Oh speaking of content, it plays true to being a chthonic void (as it describes itself). Though for some strange reason you have the option to ingratiate yourself to the primitives that I don't understand the point of.

I didn't enjoy dysmantle though so maybe we just like different combat, in dysmantle nothing could fight back even with no gear because i frames and the way they attacked. And I hated how the tried to balance what you could break to progress. I'm pretty sure I could break a bathtub with a stone if I really wanted to, let alone a piece of metal.

Give Lucah a try if you want one that has farther view and better sounds. The art looks a little funky at first but it grows on you. The combat is also pretty interesting because you have some varied moves you find that you can mix and match.

I agree with op i'm on the 4th dimension and so far it's just the exact same gameplay loop copy pasted for the 4th time with the same boring combat that it started with. As for the story so far it's either help the primitives like you said and get cheaper shop items or don't and have items be more expensive (god knows what the karma system does beyond that).

The enemies also have only 2 variations; melee guys that just get stun locked to death and ranged units that just backpedal themselves until they get stuck in a corner. I assume there's meant to be a big boss after the 7th pier but so far the miniboss of each dimension has been a complete joke that dies in 10 seconds after just standing there.

"The enemies also have only 2 variations"

I mean thats just not true. Theres large melee chargers within the first half hour. Theres multiple melee that seem immune to stun or close enough to it that they may as well never be stunned. Human type enemies that get all the same shields you do. The frog type that can outpace your dodging speed.

For ranged I guess you never thought of ways to beat them. Like I said, dash mid combo. You can actually bait them into using a heal and steal it. Dash in the direction they are going and hit them. Manipulate their health to burst them all at once (all their kite AI seems different so the tactics change). Like the ranged frogs that are damage immune until they jump once. Theres the shaman looking guys that summon totems that heal and shoot little bullets. Theres the merchant looking guys that only throw bombs.

Only thing I don't like is the invisible effect is ridiculously broken and their AI just stops. So that makes the game too easy but I can also choose just to not use invisibility.

I don't get it, you guys call the combat boring but you're also not willing to adapt to what the combat does have going for it. Like the guys on the forums that were complaining about the enemies being damage sponge, I want to ask them "did you even try building damage" because I can kill most enemies in 6 hits or less (outside of shield effects you have to play around).

Anyway the only reason I bother to argue about it here is for anyone that only sees people that didn't like it. Maybe I'm the only one but I have enjoyed my time with it.

shit, this game sounds like it sucks hardcore from reading all the feedback.

i'd be giving it mercy by not trying it, because just to end up dismantling it. i do not pull punches on games over $5. some people may be happy with garbage like death's gambit or moonlighter, but not me. you need to be able to compete with the greats. shovel knight, braid, hollow knight, dead cells, etc etc.

face it, there's too many indie games, the market is saturated. it's time to increase your standards.

If you only base games on feedback from other people then you must be fun at parties, there are tons of underrated games that appeal to a specific niche of gamers and it seems to me that your niche must be "I play games rated 11/10 on popular gaming news sites"
