" - Open SmartSteamEmu.ini and edit as neccessary.
Launch SmartSteamLauncher.exe and not the game executable." That s the problem,i dont have any idea where is the smartsteamemu.ini or where is the launcher,i just see "Launcher" with steam icon but is not possible ejecute them.
I think I have the solution! So, I couldn't start the game, even when I ran as admin. It would open for a brief few seconds. My cursor would disappear. However, the game would not properly launch, staying minimized. Even when I tried to maximize, I could not. I'm on Windows 10. I set both launchers and the game exe to Windows 8 compatibility. Then, I downloaded DirextX End User Runtime. I think it's something to do with the different versions of windows. That can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35&nowin10 Before doing this, I also kept getting this error when looking at the log in Program Data. [Error] - System.DllNotFoundException: openal32.dll at OpenTK.Audio.AudioContext.CreateContext(String device, Int32 freq, Int32 refresh, Boolean sync, Boolean enableEfx, MaxAuxiliarySends efxAuxiliarySends) at OpenTK.Audio.AudioContext..ctor() at Academagia.GameSystems.VorbisPlayer.Init() Now, I had that file, despite the error. It was in the main folder, as well as x64 and x86. I'm not sure if this helped, but I deleted and reinstalled openal32.dll. That came direct from the source: https://www.openal.org/downloads/. I ran that. openal32.dll was put into C:/Windows/System32 and C:/Windows/SysWOW64. I copy + pasted from SysWOW64, but I don't think it matters much. I then replaced the old files from the main folder, as well as the ones each from x64 and x86. Note: openal32 may not have been the issue. At the least, the game did not start working after I replaced the files. I could only open it after I downloaded DirectX. Anyway, having done all of these things (DirectX, compatability mode to Windows 8, replaced openal32.dll), I can now run the game, as admin from the Steam launcher. I really hope this helps.
You ever figure it out? Having similar issues. Running the Steam launcher as admin, and then the game appears to run for a few seconds. Then, it force quits. My cursor does also disappear in the short time the game runs.
i would like to ask about this problem... i try and start game and does nothing and does not start i also checked in the task manager even the exe does not show up yeah?
It said in launcher that the 'Target' and 'StartIn' is wrong. I have tried to add the right path into the ini, but it doesnt go away. can any one help me?
