WitchSpring is an amazing series, all their games are amazing and although they are similar in mechanics, the plot is really interesting.
As for mechanics in WitchSpring games; You train your character in day and night circle to strengthen their stats. You grind for items and resources. (that's why android is a little better) You craft said resources into different potions and spell parts. You combine spell parts into tailored spells to beat (nuke) enemies. [WS3] You tame defeated monsters and use them as mounts or as minions.
Also, you gonna lose against bosses a lot, it's not like you use the strongest thing you've and you beat them, either you go raise your stats in insane amounts to beat them or understand the spells and explore the world to find rare stuff and with strategy, you can beat them even if you're little weaker than them.
No shit. I played this game first instead of going the exact order. I don't even know what the heck is going on back then, but it was soooo fun. I even committed to find a cheat trainer for it, so that I can enjoy the game to the fullest without spending too much time on it.
emulation takes a lot of resources. it is expected for ports to demand higher specs to run them. though this game was not cpu heavy on android, the pc version looks upscaled to fit and look better/comparable on pc.
Does emulation=port? I remember the ported version of Persona 4 Golden running just fine while using peanuts worth of resources on the fossil that is my laptop, which can't emulate ps2 at all. It even shits itself on more graphically taxing psp games. If it really needs to use emulator's worth of resources, isn't it just a shit port, from technical perspective?
this is what I meant, thanks. small time developers that wants to port their games just try to make it run in an emulator like state to avoid fully rebuilding everything to work on pc perfectly to save money, hence sometimes "bad port". let's not assume things quickly next time XRRoy
