Get one of these STABLE versions: v65786, v67816, v68598
(Note: NONE of these versions have the newest added building options. Only the EXPERIMENTAL versions have them, at this time, AND.....mods DO NOT WORK with experimental versions. UWE has given NO DATE for when they will release a stable version with the newest building components)
To get one of the above mentioned 'stable' versions, scroll to the top and look for the 'Torrent Site' menu button. This is IGG-Games' sister torrent site and you will be able to download older versions there. Just make sure you are choosing a correct download link with a file size of 4+ GB. So pay attention the file size before you start your download.
Would it be possible to request the upload of an older version? I can't find any option for that on the request page.
As it seems that mods are not working with this version and subnautica being a game that many people only enjoy with mods it seems a bit useless to have this version up.
Edit: I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the vortex mod manager, as i tried installing below zero and had a similar problem. I think that somehow my former installations are causing the problems. Although i deleted everything (also the Subnautica and Below Zero stuff from the vortex folder). Not sure how to fix it though.
Edit: I give up, tried everything i can think of, reinstalled both the game and vortex like 3 times, deleted the vortex folder in appdata. No clue....got to find out now if this is also the case with the non pirated version, if not i may buy it.
Edit2: Hmm, i tried to request it on the request page, though it seems it always gets deleted. Maybe not allowed/possible to request older versions.

the version that is right here is an unstable one, what does that mean: unstable meaning that it's the newest out by far and mods are not supported on unstable versions, you would need to open the torrent site (the big button on the top) and search there subnautica, there you'll have the option to download whichever version you want to download and subsequently install mods as well
Just to warn everyone here so you don't end up bothering the poor mod author like I did: this appears to be the experimental branch of the game, not the latest stable. This breaks Nautilus, which is a modding tool used by a great many mods. It doesn't make the game crash, save for a couple exceptions, but the mods don't function. This game is much more fun with mods and the devs are still active, so if you start the game and find yourself enjoying it, consider buying the game if you have the money for it. At time of writing, it's 50% off on Steam.
Does ANYONE have a cracked version of QMODMANAGER?? (Why? Because QModManager is DRM-infected!!) Long-story, if you're interested...For the past several months, I've been poking around and asking alot of masked questions on the Subnautica and Subnautica Modding Discord servers. When QModManager was first written and coded, the original author just wanted a way for EVERYBODY to enjoy mods. Well, when he left the project some programmer named PrimeSonic took over and I guess devs over at UWE chirped in his ear about people using cracked versions of the game and he rallied to their cause. He INFECTED the code for QModManager with some DRM/anti-piracy snooping routines...and if you don't have the proper aligning Steam keys, it will not initialize or play some stupid pirate song from YouTube. Man, talk about modders becoming OVERZEALOUS and overstepping their boundaries. So, if you're using an 'unofficial' version of Subnautica from IGG-Games or any other site, QModManager will bork the game (I had to reinstall Subnautica to get rid of the DRM-infected QModManager poison code) or simply not initialize it. Where are our AWESOME crackers here on IGG-Games? To get someone to go into the line code of QModManager and remove the anti-piracy crap and CRACK it for ALL of us to enjoy mods. Like it should be...

Excuse me.. surely you jest, no one pirates happily we all have our reasons and many pirates are from 3rd world countries and don't have much choice due to the huge economical rate including me. The devs spend shit ton of resources, time, money planning and endless years to create a game and they deserve to be paid for it. If you think Games should be free to enjoy i'd love to see you learn coding/programming and make a game any better and then give it away for free.
Piracy helps gaming industry, it just doesn't work for music or movie, but for videogames, where there is insane replay value, there is uses for piracy.
Does the latest version posted here - v68584 - fix the BIG BUG where you can't move your PRAWN around in the alien structures without it getting stuck to the floor?? Also, did they fix the missing fire effects and missing skin textures? Did they fix the borked graphics when looking at the Aurora, where you turn left or right and the image of the Aurora disappears from view?
FYI - I'm still playing the LAST official update of v65786, which does work with QMM/SMLH and added mods.
What mods are you using? are they really worth the time to download and install? I'm playing v68584 so far everything seems to work fine. Game runs smoothly ive not had any trouble or found any bugs so far! The game is fun enough i'm just wondering what mods would make it better?
There is really no official VR controllers support. Gamepad is preferred instead of mouse+keyboard, but you can check out the mod https://github.com/Okabintaro/SubmersedVR
so what i know so far is that the mods do work but you need the correct version of the game and the modloader not only that but when i did all of that the thing that makes the mods work SMLhelper, the developers did something really rude twords pireters, they made it so if you use a pireted version of subnautica it will spam 5 messages saying rude shit and then if you try playing survival all the stuff is 100000 to make stuff so they made it so you cant play with mods.

Nvm, turns out I had to change the ShaderLOD to 300 or 400. The way to do so, press "F3", press "F8" and ignore the feedback, click ShaderLOD option to "300/400", Reload, and there you go

in case you havent fixed this, you need to run the game as administrator in most cases if that doesnt work then there is something either wrong with your hard drive or something else
Hi Im stuck on a black screen I start a new game then it says "Press any Key to continue" I press space and then the game stucks on a black screen. And if I press esc to skip the cinematic the game frezzes o goes with a lot of glitches (frezed animation, clip trough walls, unpicable things, IDK if its my computer or a error.
Those wondering if this works with QMM/SML, the answer is no. One person claims it's invasive DRM, but no. It's code is freely available on Github, and all it does is check for files known to exist in pirated versions and the file size of "steam_api.dll" that's it. the SML team has nothing to do with why it doesn't work. The reason it does not work is the Harmony loader and BepInEx. They allow modding by "patching" the game's process for loading mods. Cracking alters the game's executable code (not always, if it's DRM free, like a GOG release, this is not true), and if the loader is looking for its entry point, and the entry point has been moved due to the altering, it won't work. Both Harmony and BepInEx are also on Github, so if someone is talented enough to fork those, modify them to work with the cracked version here, then is kind enough to release it here, we can have mods. Until then, we cannot. I am not skilled enough to do so myself, otherwise I'd be that person.

How did you manage to get them to work? I've tried a thousand versions and reinstalls but nothing works. Once I managed to load the QMods but it said SMLHelper couldnt be loaded! Pls help!
Someone else nearby in this thread mentioned a different version number, so i just googled for that and skid row (i thiink?) and then played that one, could even transport the save file. Gl, it's a fantastic game

Unplayable here - Win 10 vive cosmos. Subnautica 32 doesn't run, error states it requires 64-bit windows. Regular Subnautica exe only runs in VR even with Vive turned off, but buttons not mapped for cosmos so I can't get to Options to try anything, New Game only brings up a white sky, blue horizon/plane and jagged triangle in upper left while the game is running. Can hear warning audio and me jumping when I press the only button that reacts, but can't see anything. Edit: QMod manager won't initialize to even attempt that one Nexus mod fix, and while you can use a controller to get into options, nothing there helps.
uhh i cant use cyclops properly whenever i try to drive it some buttons are always misplaced or gone like i cannot go into fast mode and turning the engine on button is on the middle of my screen please tell me why this happens ?
Had to switch back to the retail version, there's something wrong with this release as it gets really stuttery over time (within 2 hours) with the same mods. Switching back to the original also made me realize that some graphics options did not work in the cracked one that may not be unrelated.
i haven't found this issue in comments here so i will write it, maybe it will help anyone. So, i don't know if my problem was because i started 2nd game or what, but for some reason after new save i couldn't save in my previous game this was the error message: https://us.v-cdn.net/5019629/uploads/editor/ye/uvwda0r4zx7b.jpg So i tried evertything i found on the net, including changing program data folder properties which btw messed almost every other game. Nvm, so the problem is, for some reason every time you save game adds one more word "migrated" to the slot save, i don't know if this is a crack problem or this version of the game. Problem is windows has a limit of file name lenght, at least windows 7 wich i am using and this is the error. Solution is quite simple, go to your subnautica game folder>SNAppData>SavedGames and here are your saves slots. Edit name and delete every migrated word, just leave slot001, or if u have 2 save slots leave one migrated on the other one. As i said before, problem started after i created another game, before that i was playing on my 1st save for 24 h without issue.
Hi, I'm having the very same problem of my game not saving however, mine doesn't have any word "migrated" in them. The only folders in the "game folder/SNAppData/SavedGames" was a folder named "option" and "slot 0000". Another problem is that unlike your's wherein the problem started after starting another game, mine doesn't save on my very first play... If you dont mind please tell me what I can do to fix it. Make sure you tick in the Codex Setup 'copy Codex Content to Game Folder'. But if you forgot to tick the option you can copy the codex content manually into the game folder.

I already tried to take the crack out, start Nitrox, and then put it back in. Unfortunately, Nitrox will start without the crack, and instead giving you the pirate song, it will just send you to steam store to buy the game.
Yeah this happened to me, I had moved the codex files over but apparently moved the wrong Codex folder (I transferred folders from Subnautica.v63112-CODEX, which is wrong). You have to transfer all files in Codex folder in the disc image file. Open the iso file first, then open the codex folder, then transfer those to the game folder that you installed.
Unpack all compressed files. The game, and the updates.
Install the game to your computer. But do not apply the crack yet. Proceed to next step.
Install the first update ( UPDATE V63461 ) , but don't crack it yet.
Install the second update ( UPDATE V63668 ).
Now, copy the files in the crack folder provided from the second update and paste it into the installed directory folder (the game folder that you installed).
Try launch the game. If it works, enjoy your exploration. If it doesn't work, don't find me. hahaha
I put the codex files in the installed game folder, but the game still isn't opening on my Win 10...the cursor changes into the game cursor but then changes back, that's all that happens.

you also gotta download unarc.dll, if you have 32 bit windows then put it inside System32 directory, if you have 64 bit windows then put it inside SysWOW64 directory.
For everyone wondering how to get it working in VR: I got it working on my oculus by making a shortcut and making Target: "Path\To\Game" -vr -hmd=OculusHMD Assumedly you could also do -hmd=SteamVR to get it working on steam although I don't really feel like trying to confirm.
AVOID 63461 & 63668! They are both either severely bugged or corrupted. 63112 plays just fine (which is required before applying these patches)...but once you apply these two patches (and the subsequent crack) the game becomes UNPLAYABLE! Why? The patches have bugged/corrupted the graphics and you have vertices and graphical planes being emitted from fish, namely the Reefback and Hoverfish. The corrupted vertices and planes fill the entire viewable area and you can't see where you are swimming. Simply UNPLAYABLE in this condition!

So I downloaded and ran the V63461 Update first and ran the game and the waves are all grid-like on the main menu and no menu loads just Subnautica title and the weird waves. The update V63668 won't install though. "Subnautica_Data\StreamingAssets\http://Player.bank Hash sum mismatch! Required MD5: -547321767" That's the error I get. Any help would be appreciated Edit: Side note - Game runs perfectly smoothly before applying any updates. No framerate issues and the entire game runs flawlessly but on an older build something like 59XXX and I needed the newest updates that fixes some of the lodestones and some other hotfixes though.
I hear you, Apex! Same thing with me. The graphics are bugged. And despite people suggesting to re-download everything and re-install, which I did THREE TIMES, it doesn't resolve the problem. Like you, 63112 runs smoothly before applying the updates. These 2 patches/updates are straight-up corrupted.
when i download the second part, i skip the ads, go to the google drive website, but when i download it, it's 2.3MB and chrome is saying it might be dangerous
The last part is usually smaller then the others. Seems to be the right size, it's the same on every site. I downloaded it from Gdrive and didn't get a message that it's dangerous. Redownload it or keep it. This can happen sometimes it's like when your AV says the crack files or exe is dangerous (it's false positive for game you downloaded here aside from that listen to your AV and still be careful).

It's not the same game, but does it looks similar to this? In that case you start the normal setup.exe. Disabled your AV before extracting to make sure that no files can vanish?

I found how to play the game from this download. After install the game, open the file location for the game. Then go back to the "Drive Subnautica" file (where there's a setup. exe and open the "CODEX" file. Open the Subnautica Data file and Plugins. Then copy all the files in it to the game file directory ealier. There should be one file that has already been in the file. It will pop out a window says skip or replace. Replace it. Then try open the game. It works for me. Hopefully to you too
That's in fact the easiest way. You can still copy the crack yourself if you want, but in either case turn off the AV before extracting the rar files so no files, especially from the Codex folder, get quarantined.
when I try to crack it, it tells me I need a password I used http://MegaUp.net and tried to extract both and said I needed a password so not really sure what to do, I did download and save both parts
Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.

why did i get an igg pop-up said there was a new subnautica update? I did this update 84 and 85 back in january! odd it tells me it's new update and no not new subnautica below zero! oh well!
i downloaded this game and had nothing but problems with these so called updates 84 and 85 the version i found out later my computer auto unrar and installed them i was getting errors because they were already installed! what im wondering is my game version is only 60026. Is this the version everyone has? I thought the last version was like in the 65000 range? Anyone know? I guess it don't matter as long as i can play it and be able to complete and finish the game that is all that really matters it's working and stable and i can play a complete game!
I tried again after I realized that rar was interfering with my (volume) when extraction and I had an "virtual cd rom" on this pc panel since my laptop was manufactured, but I don't have a physical/hardware cd rom. I re-applied the steps, the game works at first time (installation/update 83), I did then applied update 84 and the game successfully worked. But after I applied update 85 (last update of patching) The game would just close every time I try to open it (the game doesn't run for no reason given). I applied the crack (ticking the crack copy in codex setup). I will try today once again. Please help me any developer, I'm trying to figure how would I make the game run even after the updates. It ran on my old laptop and pc, but this new one won't respond dunno why.
Considering the devs said this game is not going to be updated further, maybe the update should be applied then uploaded? - It would be easier and chances of having to do it again are low unfortunately.
I've also realized that subnautica after applying updates works (on 2 devices that have CD ROM), but a device didn't had a CD ROM shows an error after applying updates (84 & 85). (I've applied the crack well, still the same)
Can someone help me extracting the parts? My laptop doesn't have a CD ROM which means i cant just simple mount as i used to do in my old laptop. I downloaded Daemon tools but I dunno how to extract the iso from the rar.

work great just long time installing update 84 on half process its take like 1 hours its not stuck just is big file and when update all to 85 version is much better fps i talking about 20-30 fps more thats insane
Does the coop mod work on this? Because when I installed that mod called Nitrox the multiplayer button does not appear when I launch Subnautica The same is for my friend aswell.

You sure that will help? I already have Daemon tools and still it dont work. And It doesn't say anything on FAQ for how to crack the game, it only says to install Daemon tools.
Sorry that i'm late I'm sure you haven't crack the game, you'll need to crack it first by copying files inside the CODEX folder on that Iso file that you have opened with daemon tools, and move it to the game's folder

i also agree with the thought that multiplayer(a.k.a capsuls) cant exist but somehow they are in the cracked version. maybe its random generic stuff from the developers but they exist.

Der Installer fragt dich sogar, ob er den Crack für dich mitkopieren soll, weil das eben manche nicht hinbekommen, aber wenn man ohne zu lesen nur auf weiter und installieren drückt wird das natürlich nichts. Naja, mal 20 Sekunden lesen und nachdenken, was man da eigentlich macht, können heutzutage ja leider die wenigsten. Lieber danach sich 5 Minuten hinsetzen und Online nach einer "Lösung" suchen. Okay I just successfully downloaded the GAME. Installed successfully too and it works great on my Laptop, however I'm experience some problem with the update. I downloaded both update which is 84 & 85 but I don't know what I'm doing wrong??? I've never updated a GAME before, its actually my first time. I guess you can call me a NOOB. no you need to install 84 1st then install update 85 and you'll be good to go! any game on igg-games if there is more than one update you need to install all of them unless otherwise stated!
winrar informs me when i want to extract the files that the iso file is corrupted, that the end of the archive is incorrect, and that the volume is corrupted (for the part 1 ) so the only files that i end up having are links to this website and a "readme"file. what should i do ? i have followed the instructions i Don't understand
It is possible that your part 1 is corrupt because your network may stop when you download the files. Make sure that each of files have nearly same size as shown in the downlaod page. for your information, currently I can safely extract part 1 and 2, so I think its not IGG's fault.
Dude, make sure your antivirus isn't deleting any files from the crack folder. That's usually the issue when the game opens up steam. That file (usually a name with steam_api) is needed to trick the steam requirement
I just restarted as admin and went do something and when i got bac it was installed. I bought game awhile ago so if any updated version between now and 4months ago i have no idea if there is issue
The game doesnt have MP by standard, it is to complicated for this game, and they would have to take away half of devs from SP to MP just to do this, so they went SP only way (its to hard because of all entities aka fishes, mobs, etc etc.. so many of them it would be a pain to sync them across all users) ALTOUGH.. MP mod is coming, supposedly to be released in this month called Nitrox.. so just wait :)

To any moderator or expert, I've downloaded the game on my old normal pc and laptop. It worked well and I've also posted a video how to download Subnautica. But when I bought my new gaming laptop and did the steps well Subnatuica just opens and then closes again for no reason. I copied Subnautica's file (including all binaries, data, etc.) into the new laptop and still the same issue. Also some people who replied on my video had the same issue. Any help, please?
On my new gaming laptop, Subnautica works only when Update 83 is available (the red Codex, first setup). But after I apply the update 84 or the update 84 & 85 it doesn't work (game opens and closes again).
Redownload it and Reinstall it from 0, delete all your previusly subnautica files, you can keep your save file if you want, i have a gaming laptop and subnautica runs perfectly. Im not a moderator or an expert, but you can try that, i dowloaded the torrent, i dont know if the issue is with the game files. Or try downloading it from other links. What the hell is the deal with Update 84? It goes half way then literally comes to a halt and hasn't moved forever. Will it even finish? I hope its working. Will it really take hours and why on earth does this take so damn long?? I have downloaded many large games with plenty updates and never like this for one update that's not even that large!!
I haven't seen it in years because most every game is in one part these days, but it used to be that different sections of a game would be in different parts (or, on different discs, rather). Asuu is probably assuming it might be like that, where perhaps a feature or two, or certain updates aren't in Part 1. Of course, that's not likely to be the case with a game like this.
He probably means the updates. Sometimes u don't need all the updates, either just the most recent or sometimes none as they are often included already if the game is up to date. Although most of the time you do need to do each update. And yea if he meant the parts of the regular game download then thats a stupid question lol
When i try to extract part 2 it says ! C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\subnautica2\subnautica2.rar: You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack Subnautica\IGG-Subnautica.iso
Do not extract part 2. Whenever you download games from IGG just extract part 1 and the rest auto extract from there. Then install the game and make sure to check "copy codex into game directory". Then download and install all updates if necessary and also copy codex/cracks into the same game folder. This apply to all games. Have fun!!
Open steam, in the menu at the top go to add non-steam game. Find the exe you downloaded here. Then from your steam library right click on subnautica and go to properties. Click the checkbox for "include in VR library". Then go launch it like any other game. It will launch in VR mode this way.
John, John, John. VR is literally no different from PC. a Virtual Reality headset is simply an accessory and does not run it's own operating system whatsoever, it runs on software based off of PC, and it runs on PC games that require it or have it as an option.

When I open the app it goes down and opens Steam. I tried killing Steam process, still triggeres Steam launch. I tried uninstalling Steam, now nothing happens. What do I do? Edit: Same goes to House Flipper.
Have ya copy the files from folder named CODEX and paste (overwrite if asked) into Subnautica main directory folder? There're some Steam files inside CODEX folder.

When you officially downloaded the game, right click the icon and click properties > then open file location. The crack file you can get when you downloaded the game on torrent. the game works perfectly fine no issue. all you got to do is install the game and crack it then update 84 then 85 and also crack both of them and the game will work perfectly. if you are using windows 10 make sure you allow subnautic.exe from making changes
so you have to install the game and download both update 84 and 85. update 84 first and then 85 in order to make the game working. it will take time but not that long.
Update 84 got stuck for me as well on "resources.assets.cdx_newfile" in the past it seems like this gets stuck specifically on this but after waiting forever it FINALLY continued the rest of the installing of that upadte , so just wait a while I guess , not for sure , oh and don't try and run anything while it's installing and close everything you may have open
Just to say this, need to apply update 84 before applying update 85 and the link which I downloaded the game (Google Drive) was not the game with update 84 itself so download both update and install update correspondingly to the number. PS: update will check for check sum of game files first before applying update ;) Correct me if I'm wrong :P
In the folder with the "Setup.exe" file there should be a file named "CODEX" copy everything in there to the folder where subnautica is and replace everything

Every time I open the game it shows a black screen with watermark (Saying that it's a January build) and then crashes. Also I can't update to 85. It shows some red BS.
Ii will start working on making a new tutorial. The older version of my older tutorial cleared all data of my saves (dunno why) and said (Early access Watermark format) and the subnautica logo wasn't there at the sea. whatever, I will download the new version.

hi, just downloaded the game and cracked it but this is what happens when i start it up. Do you know how to fix it? also this happened with my othr games i.e. FFXV, Dark souls remastered.
What a pity. I will be downloading a new video after 4-5 days. I will re-download subnautica and check if this crash happens. Maybe I might get this error since I am windows 10 too or either I might get the solution. All games I have downloaded from IGG games haven't got any error. It might be that you didn't do it well (the steps in the video).

Which iso file did you extract? The file that is in the update folder (setup-1.bin)? This part is the only part I am stuck at. I followed John's instruction to the letter.
For the update its different, just open the setup.exe and then click the box that says copy content of codex directory to installdir, and then press the install.

i just download, extract iso with winrar, open the installer, click the box that says copy contents of codex to installdir, install, and play. and i also installed all the file in the redist folder. if there is no redist folder thingy you can find it other game that you install from igggames
Don't download update 84, there's no crack for it. I believe there's a video on how to copy and backup your save, because you're going to need to reinstall it.
"ISOs" are containers just like .Rar or .Zip files (but A LOT useless), imagine them like "proprietary soft based folders". Use Rar5 or 7Zip on the ISO to extract the inner files to wherever you like, just like an actual Rar/Zip, and then install from the files.
I keep the large games backed up on an external hard drive so I just extract from there straight onto my pc. Then once the game is installed I'll delete the iso or any installation files.
The downloadable update, "update 84", that is on this website crashes halfway through installation and fails to rollback changes. I was forced to reinstall the game. Can not update via codex installer.

Did you copy the contents of the CODEX folder into your installation directory? Codex releases offer to copy it automatically while you install the game but you have to check the box before starting the install otherwise it won't do it. If that's the case then you'll have to copy the contents manually.
You need to crack the game. Watch tutorial. It's the same for pretty much every single game on this site. Open Part 1 with DAEMON, open folder, install game and copy everything from this folder written with big letters. It may be named: CODEX or PLAZA and etc. You don't care about the name. Copy everything from that folder and past it to the folder with games file. Just watch tutorial. There's everything explained.

you can search in the internet for that, or simply change the "uc" at the address bar to "open" then you will be redirected, simply press the gdrive folder icon on the top left and add it to your drive make sure to press "make a copy" option in your drive folder
Btw Daemon is shit, it makes me have chromium... wich i know from my past experience, that when you have chromium, it never means anything good.. And it doesn't work.

to get the reaper away from you or your base use the Seamoth Perimeter Upgrade. On the other hand you should be able to drive fast enough around the head so he cant grab you

Yeah it is a problem but when you find the sea glider they won't even touch you. But at the beginning of the game, they are such a pain i agree. Also I saw in a thread that if you hold a knife or maybe metal debris, they will be attracted to you.

In the folder where you extract the setup file there should be something called "CODEX" in it. Once you installed the game copy all the contents in the CODEX folder and paste it into the directory where you installed the game
You must've messed up somewhere, you should try deleting the game and reinstalling it as there is actually a function in the setup that applies the CODEX contents for you. Make sure to tick that box and you should be ok
In the iso (when you unpack/extract the rarfiles you get files,one of them is an iso) there is a folder called codex,inside is/are the crack/s-file/s.for next time codex setup has usually a option u can tick/untick that codex installs/copy crack for you(just when you start setup,you can choose)

When I try to start the game it takes me straight to the Steam page to buy the game... Everyone always has this problem, they don't understand that the game isn't cracked yet and you need to apply it manually, there are clearly links to videos on how to do this under all the donwload links.

Crack the game. In the downloaded and extracted files you should find a folder called "CPY" or "CRACK". Copy everything inside that folder and paste it into your game directory.
I dont think its safe to play. At detail set to high I get 74% on my GPU usage, at detail set to medium it skyrockets straight 100%. Great way to destroy your GPU. I have a 980 ti with the newest drivers btw
That, quite literally WILL NOT "destroy" a GPU - they have built in protections to prevent them from overheating. The game will crash LONG before your GPU is hurt. Also, 100% utilization does not in any way, shape, or form harm a GPU AT ALL. That is LITERALLY what they are designed for. Do you not understand what miners put these things through, 24hrs a day? Or video editors? The load from a video game is dog shit compared to REAL production uses. Come the hell on, man...

you should be able to copy and paste old save files.... but the only problem is that some of the things in the new version could be missing and not load for your old saves....

just try different links... google drive has always been the fastest for me, but it was down due to over downloads when I tried... ended up getting part 2 from upera and part 1 from http://mega.co.nz took me a few hours but I got it... the others would have been day or more for me.
that's not always the reason why.... tried every one of the links above... some had their bandwidth limited to mere bits for transfer unless you paid for faster speeds... or even a set amount of time/gb you can download... I actually ended up downloading each part from a different source... usually use the google links cause those are the quickest, but they were over used at the time...
Its not their fault at all. Bigger files are easier. Get good internet. your must be really shit if it takes 2 days!!!!! try and use an Ethernet cable if you have one it will speed up your PC a lot!
extract it... click on app to start it. (igg subnautica) then click on setup. which starts the codex... make sure you click on the box marked to copy the crack to installdir... click start... wait for it to finish... play game.

Most of the cracked (illegal games) can't be played online nor multiplayer, but this game is a Single Player Game, so it really can't be played online. But rhis crack can be played even tho your WiFi is on.

you do not need to extract part 2 just part 1. Just have both parts in the same folder when extracting part one. I know it might seem weird at first but it works!
For those wondering, Yes, you CAN play this game on DirectX9 or DirectX10, on Low or Medium (recommended) settings! I downloaded subnautica to play it on my 7yo machine running a GTX260 and on Medium settings, it works excellent! As a side-note, I recommend reading the subnautica wiki when playing the game to reduce frustration, as the game unfortunately lies a lot. Reading the wiki mitigates this issue.

As someone who knows by now you get it is a pirated version i would like to help if you want to lunch the game from steam do the following. 1.Launch Steam. 2.Click the Games menu, choose Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. 3.Browse for games on your computer or put a check next to the game(s) you wish to add to the Library. 4.Click on "Add Selected Programs".

If you get a Blank screen on startup check that 1.You have cracked the game by putting the Codex files items in the the game directory 2.You dont have a vr set connected (It will come through the VR unless you want to play it through there)End process OVR in task manager. 3.Run as admin 4.Check that your firewall/antivirus program isnt blocking it
If you have an Oculus headset open task manager and navigate to services and stop OVRService (you can do it in services if you search for it in Windows but it'll be called Oculus VR Runtime Service), just make sure you start it again when you want to use VR again otherwise the Oculus app won't open.

yeah 6Gb is the size of the compressed folder. When you extract it and start playing it'll be around 13.5 Gb. They probably say 20gb to be safe, so no one starts complaining that they don't meet the requirements.
abit more than 13gb in my case,it is possible to play from usb sticks(flash drive),too,but longevity goes down(means durability of sticks shortens).so no usb 32gig stick? :)

it is unlikely because the 2nd file grew because it got updated then it was split into 4.9 GB sections meaning the files you need may be in both .rar files.

i agree with you guys exploration on this game is certainly the best part but to escape the planet (assuming you have already created the rocket) you need to disable the gun that shot the ship and for that you need to explore the deepest biomes in this game and "talk" to a giant f*cking creature then be able to escape (and in the meantime build massive unpratical bases that just look awesome)

Try to deactivate the HD-Graphics,maybe it inflicts problem with a different Graphic-Card(in your case Geforce).To Do So u can google it,HowTo-clips are on youtube,ask like :how to deactivate Graphic-Card,you will find the answer.Sorry i dont know ur Tech or App-Knowledge,but if you know to find device-manager,there u can normally deactivate HD-Graphic,or in the Bios of your Computer.I would definitly deactivate the slower one which is HD-Graphic 4600.I hope it helps,the rest of your pc is ok,u need a better graphiccard(for other games),but this should do too.
ur spec are ok,new graphic-card and u have top one.ok good to know that it works.but remember that a rig(if you buy a pc) with onboardgraphicchip can cause problems,if you have 2.Card installed.

To make the game run smoothly, first try decreasing the graphics in the options. If it still lags, press F3 while in-game and turn off bloom, light shafts etc.

they cant fix it 1. they aren't the devs they just crack games 2. the game its self isn't finished and the Neptune rocket cant be crafted only the devs can craft it for now since they are still fixing a lot of bugs with it and just generally polishing it up so you probably wont be able to craft it for a while... its something in the files of the game that don't allow you to craft it you could try and mess around with the files and maybe you will be able to craft it... Your Hard Disk is FAT32? You're using a phone aren't ya? I don't think there is a pc that still use FAT32 as it's format. Either that or you're using a flash disk to transfer, which in case get a bigger one! It's cheap these days. For the 1gb link, well no chance for that thing to happen. Every game sharing website is using the 5 gb links these days, easier and simpler that way. So sorry buddy, looks like you need to get a new 'hard drive'.

IGG, this is a note from an old user from this forum: Please don't do parts bigger than 1GB on google drive. Multiple 1GB parts is the way to go and better for most users because some have bandwith limits and such, and it's easier to download 1GB than 5GB (look at subnautica, it was 5 parts of 1GB + 1 part of 700mb / now it's 1 part of 5GB)..
did you look for in the large wreck in that spot where the kelp forest touches the grand reef in a crevasse? there's where normally one would find the drill arm tool I think. Or was it the grappling hook? There's also the one on the northern slope of the mountain island at 340+ m depth. There might be a reaper there lurking around. I think there's another wreck with arm modules at the dunes, the one that has slid down and left a trail on the sandy seafloor

Guys read this if you are curious about carrying your saves over: When you update the game you obviously must download a new version and delete the old, but don't. Your saves are located in the actual game dir folder (\Subnautica.v51774\SNAppData\SavedGames) which can be found wherever you have downloaded the game. So before you delete Subnautica to replace it with a newer version copy that save folder over from SavedGames in your game dir then update! If it was run by steam you would find the save in the steam folder in program filesx86
correct, this is how you keep your game saves. keep in mind however that you may need to delete the CellsCache and CompiledOctreesCache folders in the "\SNAppData\SavedGamesfolder\slotxxxx" folder to solve some of the lag spikes and crashing if they occur.

For those of you who wanna download this version and do not know about this, there's a bug - the moonpool doesn't charge any vehicle and takes up power indefinitely. So forget about charging vehicles in the moonpool. Also, the cyclops doesn't charge vehicles, battery chargers and power cell chargers. The cyclops' power never drains.
did you really download a crack? cause this version doesnt need one. that may be where things messed up. i just downloaded and played for a bit and have had none of the problems you described. i would suggest redownloading the game and see what happens

yea ikr? igg used to put almost every update up but they were often buggy and we would sometimes have to wait for a more stable version just to be able to play so they started only doing the important updates. saves time, hdd space and lots of frustration
while yes you can just move your game save, depending on how old your save is, it might be better just to start over. the game tends to create conflicting batch files which can cause massive lag, memory leaks and even crashes

I bought so far in 2013 and 2014 at least 6 to 7 "Early Access" alpha's and come to find out that Steam devs and Steam as a whole is a SCAM operation where they take your money very happily but then there's zero pressure on developers to actually develop their games and improve them and most importantly FINISH them in time Why would they when the money rolls in from update to update as if it's a new game every time. First u can check if your computer have the minimum requisits to play the game, if it does, then try re-downloading the game, if it keeps making the same error, then it can be a problem of the download link you are using, if not of those options worked, then idk.

Steam protected games with no 3rd party prot, most people can crack those by using a generic. Sometimes, a dev will add small triggers that disrupt this - I can cite numerous examples. For the big boys though, every site like this is at the mercy of the cracking groups. That site you linked to is one of numerous that are not related to the scene at all - and instead are cashing in on clicks. Again, tons of examples here.
Every time I go into the pod and come out, everything I had put into the portable lockers has vanished entirely. They are empty no matter what had been left in them, or how much. It's honestly unplayable to me. Any idea or solution?
maybe if you made a copy of your save file maybe that way it wont vanish :( even if you restart the game things like this happens devs still working on fixing these types of problems :'(
You cannot update the game but you can keep your save without losing any progress just copy all the parts and extract the game, go into your old game directory and copy the entire "SNAppData" folder into your new game directory. this folder is where the game saves and isnt created until you save ingame for the first time, which is why its not in your new game directory.
oh ok well if your still wondering theres a folder i forgot i think its SNAPdata or something like that you just save it somewhere and replace the new one with your old one after update

You have to go into the aurora through its front. Since you're new to the game i think u should look up guides on how to get started or watch playthroughs on youtube.

No, IGG hasn't uploaded the newest version yet, but http://skidrowgamesreloaded.com has already uploaded the latest dev version which includes the update. The last time I checked the newest version was 43765.

so you asked for the precursor update that came out about a month ago... considering it was already been updated a few times since then with the precursor update already in the game... yet you knew that and asked anyways.... yup, that makes sense.
The main reason is because modern developers have come to accept that there's no money to be made involved. People who buy and upload these games are distributing them to people who normally wouldn't be able to buy them in the first place. The trade-off is that the developers get bigger exposure while thousands of people get "samples." The exposure of the game grows and people who are genuinely interested in buying the game will actually buy it. Most people who download for free aren't maliciously, they just can't afford it or are looking to preview the game before buying, so there's no true net lose to the developers.

u can't build all those things right at the start. You've to find blueprints of the seamoth and cyclops. I'm guessing you're new to this game, so I suggest that you look up guides.
You should ask about installed RAM, bus speed, hard drive type and speed, CPU and GPU clock speed, bus speeds, and more. Cores are not the only major factor in determining the speed of ones PC.

Help when i run the game and get into my save file, i can only play for about 3 mins before the game stops responding and i have to close it. have waited for the game to respond for 3 hours and still nothing.
I delete my cache in the save folder and the game works again for me. It's called: CellsCache all fish and stuff will spawn back but it stops crashing for me.
go download 7zip. its free and works better than winzip. then download all the parts. ALL. THE. PARTS. yes, 1-5. then right-click on part 1 and click extract to "Subnautica.v41772" it will extract all parts into one folder. then just run subnautica.exe

you need to build a scanner in the fabricator, and use that scanner to scan seamoth blue print that look like a small fridge and can be randomly found while you are exploring the sea

You have to collect all the fragments/components of that vehicle in order to show you the vehicle you can craft. After you've collected all its parts,somewhere in the top of the screen the game should say "seamoth(or any other vehicle) blueprint unlocked". After that,check the vehicle bay.

Sir, your computer may not be able to handle Subnautica. Sometimes the screen takes a long while to load (it does get frustrating) but after that, it's fine. If you wait more than you think is enough, then your computer cannot run Subnautica. It just works like that.
bro can you help? I've read all kinds of problems for this game and I have only played it once and it was an older version. I uninstalled it because I have found this newer one. So I downloaded it and started a new game but somehow it just opens the loading screen then poof. Game closes. Any idea what's the problem?

Yes, it says that, but I have the exact same problem, and it's really a crash. It creates a crash report automatically and ask to send it to the creator of the game.
I also waited a long time and it crashes anyway. We have to wait and see if someone knows how to fix it. I really don't want to uninstall the game cause it took me a lot of time to download :/
I had no problem to play it in a version where you install it but that was a really old version , for the new versions I only found already installed the game like this and it doesnt work , it appears the problem I mension above.
Then there is a chance that your computer/laptop cannot run Subnautica. Try running the game on the lowest quality settings; you may get low FPS, but not playing the game is worse. Sometimes the screen takes very long to load as well, so you may have to wait a few minutes. If it still does not work, then your PC cannot run the game.

The download from the site went fine, but as soon as I try to extract the file, part 2 cant extract anything. It says that the RAR file refused to be unpacked. Probable causes: Archive might be corrupted; Archive might be incomplete; Password might be wrong. It's never asked for a password, so I'm gonna guess it's one of the first two. Required items: Mega browser extension. WinRAR or like software. Step 1: click each of the mega links and click the grey bar to download to you PC Step 2: After downloading each of them look on your desktop or downloads folder then highlight all 4 and click "Extract Here". Step 3: Double click the extracted folder, find "Subnautica.exe" and run as administrator. Have fun ^-^

To everyone that cannot get it to run. Try running the Batch File; Subnautica_DirectToRift_RunThisInstead I ran this. It hesitated on the load screen yet eventually went in game and works fine. Testing now. edit: works and loads great. Be patient as it can take up to a minute plus to load.
I´m pretty sure this wont work since the parts are no "standalone" archives. Instead the main archive was split into 4 parts which need to be present for the main archive to be rebuilt.

I just scrolled down and copied and pasted this from Tiago Valverde: "If you got the game too much pixilated just click F3 to open the graphic tab, and then click tab to open the inventory, so you can change the settings. while that is how you fix it. i honestly wouldnt bother if you have a low spec computer due to how much lag you get switching to 4. Also why does 2 and 3 not work you would think they would since they are available.
how do i save in game when the save button gray out? the only way to save is by using save and quit and it gets annoying when the game will crash so randomly.

Got a problem.. the game is working fine but the ui ( inventory & bar at the bottom of the screen ) everything in there , also the items , are very pixilated like 2 pixel or something :(
Get one of these STABLE versions: v65786, v67816, v68598
(Note: NONE of these versions have the newest added building options. Only the EXPERIMENTAL versions have them, at this time, AND.....mods DO NOT WORK with experimental versions. UWE has given NO DATE for when they will release a stable version with the newest building components)
To get one of the above mentioned 'stable' versions, scroll to the top and look for the 'Torrent Site' menu button. This is IGG-Games' sister torrent site and you will be able to download older versions there. Just make sure you are choosing a correct download link with a file size of 4+ GB. So pay attention the file size before you start your download.
As it seems that mods are not working with this version and subnautica being a game that many people only enjoy with mods it seems a bit useless to have this version up.
Edit: I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the vortex mod manager, as i tried installing below zero and had a similar problem. I think that somehow my former installations are causing the problems. Although i deleted everything (also the Subnautica and Below Zero stuff from the vortex folder). Not sure how to fix it though.
Edit: I give up, tried everything i can think of, reinstalled both the game and vortex like 3 times, deleted the vortex folder in appdata.
No clue....got to find out now if this is also the case with the non pirated version, if not i may buy it.
Edit2: Hmm, i tried to request it on the request page, though it seems it always gets deleted. Maybe not allowed/possible to request older versions.

Long-story, if you're interested...For the past several months, I've been poking around and asking alot of masked questions on the Subnautica and Subnautica Modding Discord servers. When QModManager was first written and coded, the original author just wanted a way for EVERYBODY to enjoy mods. Well, when he left the project some programmer named PrimeSonic took over and I guess devs over at UWE chirped in his ear about people using cracked versions of the game and he rallied to their cause. He INFECTED the code for QModManager with some DRM/anti-piracy snooping routines...and if you don't have the proper aligning Steam keys, it will not initialize or play some stupid pirate song from YouTube. Man, talk about modders becoming OVERZEALOUS and overstepping their boundaries.
So, if you're using an 'unofficial' version of Subnautica from IGG-Games or any other site, QModManager will bork the game (I had to reinstall Subnautica to get rid of the DRM-infected QModManager poison code) or simply not initialize it.
Where are our AWESOME crackers here on IGG-Games? To get someone to go into the line code of QModManager and remove the anti-piracy crap and CRACK it for ALL of us to enjoy mods. Like it should be...
FYI - I'm still playing the LAST official update of v65786, which does work with QMM/SMLH and added mods.

This is a real game-breaker as there are so many great mods for this game.

so I tried to download from any other site, and still the same...
The reason it does not work is the Harmony loader and BepInEx. They allow modding by "patching" the game's process for loading mods. Cracking alters the game's executable code (not always, if it's DRM free, like a GOG release, this is not true), and if the loader is looking for its entry point, and the entry point has been moved due to the altering, it won't work.
Both Harmony and BepInEx are also on Github, so if someone is talented enough to fork those, modify them to work with the cracked version here, then is kind enough to release it here, we can have mods. Until then, we cannot. I am not skilled enough to do so myself, otherwise I'd be that person.

exactly speaking : can normal non-crack players see my time capsules and second can i recieve time capsules from other players
error states it requires 64-bit windows. Regular Subnautica exe only runs in
VR even with Vive turned off, but buttons not mapped for cosmos so I can't get to Options to try anything, New Game only brings up a white sky, blue horizon/plane and
jagged triangle in upper left while the game is running. Can hear
warning audio and me jumping when I press the only button that reacts,
but can't see anything.
Edit: QMod manager won't initialize to even attempt that one Nexus mod fix, and while you can use a controller to get into options, nothing there helps.
Switching back to the original also made me realize that some graphics options did not work in the cracked one that may not be unrelated.

So, i don't know if my problem was because i started 2nd game or what, but for some reason after new save i couldn't save in my previous game

So i tried evertything i found on the net, including changing program data folder properties which btw messed almost every other game.
Nvm, so the problem is, for some reason every time you save game adds one more word "migrated" to the slot save, i don't know if this is a crack problem or this version of the game. Problem is windows has a limit of file name lenght, at least windows 7 wich i am using and this is the error.
Solution is quite simple, go to your subnautica game folder>SNAppData>SavedGames and here are your saves slots. Edit name and delete every migrated word, just leave slot001, or if u have 2 save slots leave one migrated on the other one.
As i said before, problem started after i created another game, before that i was playing on my 1st save for 24 h without issue.
Another problem is that unlike your's wherein the problem started after starting another game, mine doesn't save on my very first play... If you dont mind please tell me what I can do to fix it. Thanks~

I got it working on my oculus by making a shortcut and making Target: "Path\To\Game" -vr -hmd=OculusHMD
Assumedly you could also do -hmd=SteamVR to get it working on steam although I don't really feel like trying to confirm.
They are both either severely bugged or corrupted. 63112 plays just fine (which is required before applying these patches)...but once you apply these two patches (and the subsequent crack) the game becomes UNPLAYABLE! Why? The patches have bugged/corrupted the graphics and you have vertices and graphical planes being emitted from fish, namely the Reefback and Hoverfish. The corrupted vertices and planes fill the entire viewable area and you can't see where you are swimming. Simply UNPLAYABLE in this condition!

Edit: Side note - Game runs perfectly smoothly before applying any updates. No framerate issues and the entire game runs flawlessly but on an older build something like 59XXX and I needed the newest updates that fixes some of the lodestones and some other hotfixes though.
Like you, 63112 runs smoothly before applying the updates. These 2 patches/updates are straight-up corrupted.
You need to download Subnautica again and then install these patches.
In that case you start the normal setup.exe.
Disabled your AV before extracting to make sure that no files can vanish?

I re-applied the steps, the game works at first time (installation/update 83), I did then applied update 84 and the game successfully worked. But after I applied update 85 (last update of patching) The game would just close every time I try to open it (the game doesn't run for no reason given). I applied the crack (ticking the crack copy in codex setup). I will try today once again.
Please help me any developer, I'm trying to figure how would I make the game run even after the updates. It ran on my old laptop and pc, but this new one won't respond dunno why.

I'm sure you haven't crack the game, you'll need to crack it first by copying files inside the CODEX folder on that Iso file that you have opened with daemon tools, and move it to the game's folder

no issue. all you got to do is install the game and crack it then update 84 then 85 and also crack both of them and the game will work perfectly. if you are using windows 10 make sure you allow subnautic.exe from making changes
PS: update will check for check sum of game files first before applying update ;)

The older version of my older tutorial cleared all data of my saves (dunno why) and said (Early access Watermark format) and the subnautica logo wasn't there at the sea. whatever, I will download the new version.
Maybe I might get this error since I am windows 10 too or either I might get the solution. All games I have downloaded from IGG games haven't got any error. It might be that you didn't do it well (the steps in the video).

- Applied the CODEX files to the directory allowing the files to situate themselves accordingly.
- Made sure Subnautica and Setup_cdx.exe are being ran in admin mode.

- Chose the path to where Subnautica is.
- Started the install.

if there is no redist folder thingy you can find it other game that you install from igggames

daemon tools force adware on your system if I remember correctly.
Use Rar5 or 7Zip on the ISO to extract the inner files to wherever you like, just like an actual Rar/Zip, and then install from the files.

If the reaper has grabed your Seamoth then use the Upgrade.
It dont affect the Reaper if he isnt attacking.
On the other hand you should be able to drive fast enough around the head so he cant grab you

press the icon on the left of download button on top right corner (icon of google drive and plus icon), wait until the icon change into folder smaller previous icon. click it and choose my drive, right click the file and choose "make a copy". wait until a notification appear to notify you the process is finished (the file should be named as "copy of ***" whatever you just copied). right click it and choose download. done

tick/untick that codex installs/copy crack for you(just when you start setup,you can choose)

I just wanted to say, that there is a small mistake in your game requirements.
It says the game is in Early Access, even though it's not. Some people might be unsure about the game's status at the moment.

In the downloaded and extracted files you should find a folder called "CPY" or "CRACK".
Copy everything inside that folder and paste it into your game directory.

I downloaded subnautica to play it on my 7yo machine running a GTX260 and on Medium settings, it works excellent!
As a side-note, I recommend reading the subnautica wiki when playing the game to reduce frustration, as the game unfortunately lies a lot. Reading the wiki mitigates this issue.

For the 1gb link, well no chance for that thing to happen. Every game sharing website is using the 5 gb links these days, easier and simpler that way. So sorry buddy, looks like you need to get a new 'hard drive'.

Please don't do parts bigger than 1GB on google drive. Multiple 1GB parts is the way to go and better for most users because some have bandwith limits and such, and it's easier to download 1GB than 5GB (look at subnautica, it was 5 parts of 1GB + 1 part of 700mb / now it's 1 part of 5GB)..
it is how i found the area to look and when to look for it
When you update the game you obviously must download a new version and delete the old, but don't. Your saves are located in the actual game dir folder (\Subnautica.v51774\SNAppData\SavedGames) which can be found wherever you have downloaded the game.
So before you delete Subnautica to replace it with a newer version copy that save folder over from SavedGames in your game dir then update!
If it was run by steam you would find the save in the steam folder in program filesx86
keep in mind however that you may need to delete the CellsCache and CompiledOctreesCache folders in the "\SNAppData\SavedGamesfolder\slotxxxx" folder to solve some of the lag spikes and crashing if they occur.

I bought so far in 2013 and 2014 at least 6 to 7 "Early Access" alpha's and come to find out that Steam devs and Steam as a whole is a SCAM operation where they take your money very happily but then there's zero pressure on developers to actually develop their games and improve them and most importantly FINISH them in time Why would they when the money rolls in from update to update as if it's a new game every time.
All these cunts then do is silence critics on Steam forums, ban them, ridicule and such, when they are actually the thieves.
So , I'd now MUCH RATHER support IGG and sites like that ,than give single penny to Steam, ever again.

yes, there have been some problems with fragments not spawning in experimental... hence the reason it's called experimental.
you can't miss the main entrance to the Aurora... you just didn't look that good.
the key to this game is to explore.... so get in your seamoth if you got one and explore!!

Mine doesn't either, so I have lags sometimes too-
after you've downloaded all the parts and extracted the game starting with part 1, go into your old game directory and copy the entire "SNAppData" folder into your new game directory. this folder is where the game saves and isnt created until you save ingame for the first time, which is why its not in your new game directory.
someone might want to make this so it stays at the top.

Step 2: After downloading each of them look on your desktop or downloads folder then highlight all 4 and click "Extract Here".

I ran this. It hesitated on the load screen yet eventually went in game and works fine. Testing now.
edit: works and loads great. Be patient as it can take up to a minute plus to load.
