So I've seen people saying that SpecialK DOESN'T work for this (cracked/pirated) version. What if I told you that it DOES work.
Put the [SpecialK64.dll] into the main folder (where the .exe file is), rename it into [dxgi.dll] Now if you launch the game it will say something like : "Interface not found: SteamClientXXX."
Don't be alarmed, you can fix this by visiting the main folder, look for a file called [dxgi.ini] you can open it with notepad.
Now what you have to do just scroll down, look for something that says : [Steam.Log] Silent=false
Set "Silent=false" to "Silent=true" save the edited file (Ctrl+S) and you should be able to play the game with SpecialK.
If you don't have the [dxgi.ini] file in your folder, open the game and don't close the error window. Check your NieR Replicant folder, now it's should be there.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help you, this is the only way that works for me, and still is working right now.
CTRL+F and typing in silent would make it easier for some rather than searching. thanks for this, downloading the game now. so im sure ill be using it soon enough.
Well, for me.. Special k finnaly working because your hint, but still, it doesn't fix the lag... On 640x480p and every setting off, i just get between 17-25fps
Is there a way to get more than 60 fps without speeding up the game? Apparently specialK has integrated a mod that lets you get more than 60FPS "High dynamic framerate", while it worked and uncapped the game's fps, it somehow sped up the game. Tried to reach them in Discord and they said the dont support the cracked ver of the game.
No even the paid version when you goes further than 60fps the game is speeding up. Might be good in some ways (like running the map at full speed) but in fights it's real annoyance.

Okay after playing this for an hour this is just nier 1 with a younger protagonist and your sister is with you not your daughter, weird to change that but okay I never completed the original nier so i can do so with this
Figured as much when I saw this was a CODEX release since they aint cracking Denuvo anymore. But hey at least this means EMPRESS can focus on other games now.
just tried this game, works fine and runs solid 60fps on max. for mouse that don't disappear when playing with gamepad, just move mouse pointer off screen and that's it, problem solved :D
for anyone getting controller issues with the buttons being swapped just add it as a non steam game to your steam library and start it through steam, works perfectly for me now.
go to your steam application and then go to library where you can see all the steam games you have downloaded. at the bottom left you should see the add a game button, click that and then in the list that pops up click add non-steam game. steam should then search for and find nier on your pc. click the box beside nier in the list (it migt take a moment to pop up) and then hit the add selected programs button. Nier should be in your steam library and as long as you have your controller set up through steam when you run nier through steam it should be fixed (at least it was for me anyways.
Can anyone help me? using a bluetooth controller some inputs are swapped (B is A and X is B, the only things I could try in the menu) but if I play any other game it works fine.
same for me, the only solution that i found is something to do with steam for the original version of the game, not the pirated one, so no idea, also trying to use Special K but also doesnt work for the cracked version

Don't forget to set your game graphics to borderless and v-sync off (use only the SpecialK v-sync) and frame-rate limiter to 60fps
