True. the crack cause this, the prophets is actually working. I think you just have to download crack separately, though I have not tried it with this gamefile.

Any idea how to install Steam Workshop mods on this?

If it's what I experienced then it's an issue with Windows 8&10. Given how old the game is now I doubt anyone is gonna fix it so unless your using windows 7 skip this one completely.

Days ago i Downloaded this game and got it to run almost perfectly. ALMOST. The game is unable to load any saves made and try as i might i got 0 help from the people on this site. This issue has been with this game for a few years from what I've found so it will most likely remain unplayable.Do not waste time downloading this till someone fixes it.

It is an issue with this release specifically, the one from Prophet works just fine.
