Im getting an error as soon as I try load it up, and the main picture covers it... from the translator I've got it's saying theres something wrong with Movie01=pathname.dir and then it closes the program, can anyone help?
You should add the Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate High Resolution. The ID code is probably the JAN provided in this picture. If this doesn't work then you just need the crack.
INSTALLATION GUIDE: Follow this or you will have to extract the entire files again.
Extract the files
Set your system locale to Japanese, Control panel > View by > Large Icons > Region > Administrative > change system locale to Japanese Do not change anything else > Restart (If your on Windows 10 then also don't forget to this too, Settings > Time & Language > Region > Set it to Japan)
Download and install the English patch by Basic Translations and Hotfix then install both of them.
Start "Start.exe" and when the first button pops up click the left button, then paste this "Q6ZL-HRH8-PZJF-Q2RE" and click the top button.

That doesn't tell me anything... At what point of installation do you encounter the problem? The start.exe is the file your looking for, and there should be a serial key in the folder.
for this error you gotta change the location of the game it worked for me and make sure it is not in folders that contain the same name like (......\Koi.to.Senkyo.to.Chocolate\Koi.to.Senkyo.to.Chocolate)
It seems to be a problem with the folder directory, or maybe there's a missing file(s) because of corruption. Try to disable your antivirus temporarily and try extracting again, if it doesn't work maybe the files you downloaded is corrupted. Also, you could try to install the patch ver.1.1 and the hotfix from the links I share. The problem could be from the patch that is already included in the download.
hello guys if u ever have a problem in start.exe here was my fix: so for my case start.exe seems to show up in a middle of extraction and disappears after all the files gets extracted and in some cases it doesn't show up at all. First you may wanna keep trying to extract it until it shows.then if u saw start.exe u must keep launching it even tho all files are not yet extracted , make sure to not stop like u will keep having an error because all the files aren't extracted yet but after the exe closes due to the error make sure u launch it again (i think this avoids the start.exe to disappear). Wait until you get all the files extracted then while start.exe is still open go delete the licence at the "config" folder (there should only be 1 thing to delete there so i doubt you'll get confused). then after that copy paste the serial number "Q6ZL-HRH8-PZJF-Q2RE" so later you can paste it because the game will ask for it. take note that this is after i set the locale system to Japanese, this may also take a lot of do overs because start.exe sometimes wont show up , the main thing u need to avoid is for it to disappear. This is not the 16:9 (aspect ratio) version....It's the older 4:3 PC version... Sadly, nothin you can do about it, unless you can find one of the newer japanese versions of this VN.......
GUYS!! Okay, so after downloading the game and extracting. You may install the patch 1.1 from the internet, you can find it by searching on Google. And, of course you get an error right with the letter "B" at the end probably. So, lets just fix that. Before opening the game or "start.exe"

I did all that and also installed the patch 1.1 as well as deleting the license in the config file but now it doesn't give me error, rather it crashes the moment i click start....any idea on how to fix it?

ok firstly my game when following Elorza Gomez didn't work because i had no config. so when i tried to use other methods such as take the back of the backup to copy and paste cct. files it didn't work but i did get my config file. so when i checked it it was empty, and i know have the "insert dvd" problem. if anyone can upload a video or give me and the future people who get this game a better instruction list that'd be great
i can't find the place where to paste the serial nor i don't know where to find the ksc license, it ask for a dvd of the game and my config folder is empty i know it has almost been a year but please help

here is how i got mine to work "insert disc" all you need to do is extract koichoco regularly and then install patch into folder. then after that go into the back up folder and copy all cct files into the main folder. then open koichoco and paste the serial inside. MOST IMPORTANT PART, the first time you start the game you dont need to change "start.exe" to a different name. After you close it make sure you change the name to something else. make sure you always do this. TL;DR just change the start.exe file to a different name every time you want to open it. it might tell you to insert disc but just click yes.

OK I'm gonna say u need to put the English patch in to play it properly. Once in jap locale. It asks u for missing files which for me the English patch substituted it. Idk why but that's how I fixed mine.

im not sure what ur setup is but got to control panel but go to time and language on left side go to region and language click additional date time and language click on change location adminisrative sec bottom on down change locale to japanese and make sure ur anit virus is off wont work and put in c programs
