Broken version. On launch instantly crashes with "Invalid CD key" There is NO patch.exe, which was mentioned in the comment section. So, that version is kinda bummer. Previous worked fine
OK, now it works as intended. But that version now is outdated. There was added a new faction similiar to Bandar Log from Dominions 5 (Monkey Maharaja) in 5.17 and they fixed a couple of nasty bugs in 5.18.
The problem isn't the CD key. In 5.03 version the same thing would happen if you started it using the regular CoE5.exe so you had to start it using Coe5Patch.exe but patch.exe is missing in this version. no clue why that is.
After playing CoE4 for a few days, I am really looking forward to trying this new one. But I still prefer Godking - better graphics in autobattles, faster and easier moving in map, faster campaigns overall.
Bruh...40 years of evolvtion for nothing, this game should be able to run in old PC such as 486, 386, maybe 8086? wouldn't surprise me if anyone say 486 PC, DOS games look better.

You have to download skidrows v5.01 and move and replace the files 'coe5, coe5.exe, coe5_mac, data' from this release, to the 5.01 version.

I can go to the main menu without entering a CD-key but everytime I start a game it instantly goes to a game-over screen,
