Is this free from jumpscare? Or at least no cheap jumpscare? I hate it when indie horror game developer use low quality scare surprise stuff just to make the game looks "scary"
Yeah, it's the dumbest way of making horror. Let something fly into the screen with a standard stinger soundeffect. Jumpscares are only good with normal noises... like something that falls over and makes a sound or so. Hell, really good games do it without any sound at all. The first "Bioshock" had this guy suddenly standing behind you, in a moment, where you needed to turn around in order to progress. Absolute silent, no sound... just this guy standing there really close to you... and I nearly flung my mouse across the room.
This seems a bit better designed than the shitty 3D ones though. However, I am getting vibes of a Flash-era game from it. EDIT: Yeah, it's Flash-shit. It's just a scripted story from start to end.
