This game is really bizarre, but it's good for a bit of exercise. I would still recommend Beat Saber or Dance Collider though... they just feel more intent polished. Space Channel 5 is just a little weird for my personal taste, but I can appreciate where the game is heading. My kids really like it though, so at least that's a thing. Probably a good game to pick up on sale/special if you're not super into it, but probably worth a buy even at full price if you're a rhythm game fanatic or have kids. Always support the developers of the games you enjoy!
But that's the thing, this game isn't BAD, it just requires things out of the player that shouldn't be possible from an average human being. and who the fuck says I'm sad or angry or whatever, I'm just making an observation, way to read WAY Too deeply into a simple comment. Yeesh.
I was going to say "Nope, Sega, you STILL haven't made any good games" and then this doesn't even have their name anywhere. Is this kind of like good retro games that companies throw by the wayside and new companies lovingly recreate?...... Except with a game no one gives a shit about? Lol
I remember the premise. It was so silly at the time when this game debuted all those years ago. The invaders that took over the space station are having everyone dance with them and they somehow could not resist. Even Ulala the space news reporter started dancing the moment she stepped into the space station. Yet, somehow, the invaders can be sent away by just dancing the way they like. Now, of course, that's just par for the course now. For example, there's a game with a necromancer that has everyone dancing or bopping to the beat, including the undead.
Yep, that's what most people did. They just watched the game, they didn't play it. And those who did and got good at it, well, I hear they're all in insane asylums now.

Probably not in fear of legal and social issues. Lame.
Fun fact: He has a blanket ON Blanket! Let it be known forever that Michael was the master shitlord. Massive respect.
