I'm sorry but no. I started by creating pure 'muscle' character - guns, swords etc. Game definitely promotes that solution cos many quests take place inside tight labs/shelters where you can't stealth-pass enemies, there's also a place on the map (and it's has to be passed in order to unlock more area) that has tons of enemies in it. In short: unlike Fallout 1 and 2 here you are forced to fight and usually with 3 or 4 enemies at the same time cos whoops no companions in this game (yeah i know it has local multi tho). I invested some points into speech which is called empathy: during my entire six hours long playthru where i did pretty much 100% this early access has to offer: i spotted two TWO extra dialgoue lines that gave me nothing than more info. Lockipcking? I found like 3 maybe 4 lockers that allowed such option. Nothing special inside them eaither. BUT i found a flamethrower, which is said to be pretty much best weapon in the entire game near the starting location, with absolutely no effort. So yes game definitely promotes run and gun and nothing can convince me otherwise. Now to the content... oh boy. It's early access and holy shit how limited it is. Only one serious town. Many basic quests unfinished, just told me to come back 'later'. Main storyline? What you get here you can complete in i think less than one hour. Also game feels easy (if you play 'barbarian' archetype, that is). After getting flamethrower, jackhammer and M-16 i feel unstoppable. Doesn't help there's no enemy variety. Good art in this game i give them that but wow it needs lots of work. Even the creator himself said on Steam you shouldn't buy it in its current state lol.

Lucky we have igg-games to the rescue - I never buy early-released games. they are starting to get a bad rep. Its like buying a house thats not complete, or livable for full price, and hope the contractors come back to finish it.

Mm, but for EA, I feel it's quite promising right now. The graphics are pretty solid and the combat mechanics are great. That said, I couldn't point out the flaws better than you.

Why?
a) downloading the game (and avoiding to click in the ads)
b) installing.
c) finding that it is crap.
d) cursing.
e) more cursing.
f) uninstalling
g) deleting all the crap.
So its easy to read reviews rather to download crap

I found that going for stealthy backstabbing makes the game too easy. Maybe next time I should also go for strength + guns like you did with zero synergy.

I do have to thank you for your extended comment. I tried the demo and like the gameplay/artstyle really much. I stopped after 20 Minutes as to not spoil my appetite if this early access game finally releases. The playtime you mentioned is really demotivating to say the least but im willing to give it a fair shot and I will keep your review in mind when playing the full release (whenever that may be). Thank you for your time

For a "singleplayer" role playing game, it's awfully focussed on co-op, looking at the key features.

The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

I'm failing to see how allowing people to support a promising unfinished game, and giving feedback to the devs have any negative impact on the industry.
The worst effect of it I can think of is some idiots who -STILL- don't understand what EA means buying it and getting disappointed.

I get your point, but i see @disqus_crcZjpf54e:disqus 's perspective as well. Im not buying EA games anymore since they almost take forever to release. Got like 15 EA games on my wishlist that never seem to progress that much over the past 2 years. Games that really interest me but you know, I prefer a complete game from the beginning. "A few bad apples ruin the batch" the name "early access" gives almost always a bad impression for a customer and many devs cannot pinpoint a release date as well so some games derp around in EA for years so much that sometimes what made you like a game, gets changed and now its not what made it fun anymore and of course you as customer have no say in what makes it into the final release.. Happened a couple of times to me. Thats why demos should be always an option. Free, short and enough for a nice first impression. Like it, buy it and if one doesnt like it, then look for another game.

I don't think it's worth playing right now.. Maybe when it's finished. It's a good game though..
I played it for a good 5 hours straight, BUT..
Suddenly it got to this point where I either couldn't figure out what to do - or I hit the point in the story where the game (creator says 1/3 of the game is complete) ends, or something..
I did all the quests I could, and then couldn't find any more, but this one quest where you find the philosopher titan dead and retrieve a recording of the events, and a witch tells you to give it to the computer and have it analyze it.. Well you can't give it to the computer, the AI keeps giving you a message, but it stays in your inventory, and the witch says nothing to you..
At this point, I thought to myself.. that either the game doesn't really explain what's happening well enough, or that this is where the game ends, because it didn't make any sense.. I had no quests left, a quest item in my inventory tied to a quest that my quest log says I completed, and seemingly no direction left to go in, on an early access game..
Think about that.. Lol.
I'm either bugged, this is the point the creator got to when he got ballsy enough to ask for money for it, or I'm retarded.. I just deleted it and said whatever :P I mean, It's going to end a third through the story anyway, what's the point? If there's anywhere to go from here, it'll end soon anyway.. I'll play it when the developer claims it's finished.
So.. To end this.. Death Trash is a really good ass game.. but I was disappointed to find out that only a third of the game is finished when I started googling for a walkthrough..
This is a good time to point out that this is why I don't buy games anymore (or rarely do, anyway,) and why I don't think anyone who stopped buying games should feel guilty about it when super mega ultra supreme elite gamers claim they're not supporting creators or the industry. Lol.
I only buy finished, and complete products, and so should you.. and well, games are never finished these days. Lol... If it's ever finished, I'll buy it when he drops that update, cause it's a good game.
Play at your own risk, or discretion.. Ultimately you're probably gonna be disappointed, cause the game's good enough to make you upset that it's actually not finished.
(This is one of my serious comments, for those who don't realize that the majority of my comments are usually troll shitposts I leave while under the influence of a concoction of various drugs. Lmao. This game is seriously, really really good..)

VN readers are not simps. They're getting something in return for their money, like an experience. Actual simps are people who give money (normally to e-thots) and get nothing in return to show for it. A simp is a man who does not get a return on his investment. He foolishly clings to the hope that said performer will date him.

I mean, the simp is also getting an experience... even just sitting on the floor in an empty room for 5 minutes is an experience.
You're splitting hairs here, if VN games had a reputation for telling stories that weren't based almost entirely on sex or having a girlfriend they wouldn't have the reputation for being simpgames.
I'm sure there are plenty examples of nonsimp VN games but the vast majority are pretty sad.

It's not a simp game. Because the woman has to be real or controlled by a human person for it to be a simp. You can't simp for a video game character. That's called "waifuism" and it's different. I guess since I make this kind of content, I'll explain. The reason why we use simp is because of men simping for women who do not and will not ever love them. They only want their money. It's business. These men have no self-respect.
However, if we use the term waifuism, that is different. This is the practice of having an artificial factor to put romantic feelings towards that will not result in any stress, drama and possible mental trauma. Usually it is for anime or video game characters. The reason why it is not simping, is because they are not throwing away money in the false belief that a person will love them. With the waifu, it is always a given. She loves me, because I am her master. Eventually, this will roll right into digital technology, where people will outright go on dates with or marry holograms, robots and other things. The VR industry alone is slated to make 900 billion by 2030. It may seem sad, until you realize that the dating pool is filled with narcissists and that marriage is pretty much a game of Russian Roulette. I've had several men in my circle of IRL end up on the wrong end of divorce, or find they were being cheated on. Several times in some instances and that's apparently normal.
Well, guys are tired of it. These VN things are just the first step. The second will involve dating simulators with actual AI in a VR environment. The next will be a full on simulated partner. It goes up from there. Please keep in mind that dozens of Japanese men married their gatebox holograms.
Maybe it isn't the future you want, but it's the future we are getting. If you want me to be honest, the only simp I know of today other than Twitch pay pigs would be a newly married man. I've seen a woman walk out on a guy after 13 years of marriage and leave him with the kids, while she goes and bangs someone else. Call me what you want, but fuck that - I'd rather have my waifu at that point. Sure, it's not real - but neither is the love of the modern thot.

Read, understood.
I think both examples (and I understand it's not the same) are a poisonous path. Sure people treat people bad all the time but giving up on having a relationship with someone who has their own boundaries, perceptions, and flaws is important to the normal human development.
Sure people get hurt all the time but getting hurt makes you stronger, I don't care if you choose to fuck a rubber tube and visit your VR wife for the rest of your life. I'm for people doing whatever they want as long as it doesn't negatively effect others.
I just think that people are getting discouraged by the negativity they see because of social media, not all love stories are tragedies, The scars bad women leave make you really appreciate the good ones.

I won't deny that there are good women out there. There are. But they are getting tougher to find. And when you get a bit older, you quit caring. There's a reason a lot of guys hire prostitutes when they get older. Because they don't want to deal with the drama of a relationship. I'm heading into my thirties now, so this option works for me. And there are definitely men all about the grind who want to be in that top 10% of men who women find marriageable material. So if that's what they want, then fine. I'm all for it. They take that risk, but again; everything in life is a risk.
Again, if it doesn't harm anyone or have negative effects on their life, it's fine. There will be people who have artificial partners and have real ones. Yes, people will be adverse to it, but eventually they will come around.

Yep. I've talked to women in relationships who play the fuck out of these.
Honestly, if you have gotten to the point that you're going to call waifu lovers simps (because apparently you can simp for waifus that are not real?) then you're going to be in for a rude awakening when the VR, augmented reality holograms and robots come into play. That is the next step. And that guy, he'll come home and cuddle with his waifu. And she won't bitch and nag, nor threaten divorce as has been done in countless marriages. I've heard it dozens of times myself, "I'm talking the kids and I'm leaving." and she will use it as a threat. Because she knows it works.
It seems that you're having a hard time coming to terms with the future. Many women have already replaced us. What did that woman online say yesterday? Oh, yeah. "If you can't last long enough, don't get upset at me when I use my B. O. B!" She's not beating around the bush. She has a Battery Operated Boyfriend and she's not ashamed to talk about it. But for men? God forbid we should have anything artificial. And this is a really shitty way to think. In a way, you simp for women when you deny the pleasure and freedom of men to choose artificial means of pleasure and relationships. These are women's arguments. Women will bash men and praise their toys, but if a man should choose to do the same, he is looked at with scorn. And his fellow cucked men will stand by the woman, really any woman really; because he has no backbone and no respect. They're not being shy about it. But God forbid a man should have a waifu or anything artificial. So yes, continue simping for the women by continuing to shame men who do not want to be in relationships with them. No man can compete with the power tools. They know that.
So the man with the dating sim is happy, because he knows that he can enjoy what he wants with his own money and it doesn't go towards a thot. It goes towards the devs, who make these experiences because they too enjoy them. This is men creating the perfect female experiences for other men to enjoy and when you support them, you support other men. In a world where men are very much second class citizens, supporting other men is the best choice we have today.
