Cris Tales is a 2D, Adventure, RPG, Action, Anime, Turn-Based game where you need to explore for basic stuff throughout the map & turn based fight different creatures. The game runs smoothly on my system i5, 8gb pc. The game has installation size of 2.6GB, installed file size of 8GB. As per file size I expected RTS game, or more content in this game. The graphics & music of this game is good anime. Music is constant. Plot involves - Crisbell exploring & talking thorugh out the gameplay, and at end stop evil Time empress. Overall, I liked this game & I will rate it 4/5 considering file size, gameplay quality, music only. More content could be added with more sounds. Hud & home screen is ok.
I came here to try the game before buying it as this game is not getting good reviews and boy am I glad I tried it out here first. This is not a good game.
The game looks pretty, for sure, but the initial reviews were mixed. Worst part is, they really screwed up with the time magic mechanics. Most battles you'd be better off just mashin' attack repeatedly since trying anything else either gets the same results in more time expended, or just fails entirely when the enemies negate your planned combos. Doesn't seem like a good time.
i'm back after playing it for 5 and a half hours, the visuals are really nice, basically eye candy the video game BUT they kinda ruined their own game after that, don't get me wrong the gameplay loop is good, but most of the time it's either way too easy or way too boring instead of challenging, when in "dungeons" there is no way to tell when you are gonna encounter enemies, so you can't really plan your timing and movement, the combat itself is simple, i really liked the time mechanic but after a while i was encountering more and more enemies that had nothing to do with the mechanics, all you can do is just spam a certain attack or move the time to make them weaker so you can defeat them easier and that's about it, i really wished there were more enemies like the tutorial boss that needed you to be clever but no that was just forgotten, exploration is nice, for the first time and after that it gets boring and hollow, not to mention they ruin the whole fairly tale setting when you get to the second city like there's a freaking car there, now i didn't mind some modern clothing and industrialization but the car? that just ruined everything in my opinion, and it sounds like i'm nitpicking but i really am not the car was just the perfect way to ruin the whole world and immersion of this good looking fairy tale, the voice acting was... fine, some voice actors did an excellent job (matias for example) and some were downright annoying (cough cough mario cough cough) and just bad, the story is predictable from what i'm getting it's just another industry bad countryside good story, shame, this game had a lot going for it and i would have bought it if it left an impression on me but sadly, i'm not impressed so far, i'll play more and finish the game eventually but i just hope the game doesn't get worse.
If you take away the visuals, this is one of the worst rpgs I have ever played, and I have played a ton of them, I put the gameplay on par or even worse than fan translated shovelware japanese rpgs from the snes era, I would rather replay 7th saga on snes than this.
They completely forget about the time mechanic, most bosses don't interact with it, and those that do, it's just a different skin and slight stats change. For most regular battles you can't go wrong with just using haste on Christopher to use offensive magic and forget the time mechanic is even there. Cristopher and Crisbell are the only characters you will need, the 3rd character will just be doing small amounts of damage or just soaking damage.
It's the most unbalanced rpg I have ever played, I was ending battles in 1 turn before getting to an specific boss that requires an specific skill that was still several levels away, had to grind 4 levels to get the skill so I could beat the boss, after that all battles ended in 1 turn from there to the very end of the game. To add insult to injury, before the boss fight there's a cutscene where the character "learns" the skill you need for the battle, but they don't just give you the skill, you still have to level for it.
Only a couple bosses have any remotely interesting mechanics, and one of those is the tutorial boss. Most are just damage sponges. The final boss has a couple gimmicks that can 1 turn wipe your party, but you equip a couple accessories to avoid it and then it becomes just another damage sponge.
The story is predictable and not well told, the characters are boring or annoying or both. Random throwaway npc's in towns look more interesting than your party members. So yeah, for me the only thing this game has going for it is the visuals.
Indivisible I didn't even manage to finish, when they sent you back to the same stages all over again I called it quits. Idiots tried to replicate VP but forgot everything that made VP good and just made a poor copy of the battle system.
You know what the object of your desire does with your heartfelt love letters which took you hours to write? She laughs, rolls them into a ball and throws them in the bin. This is how Sakaguchi and the others you worship felt about this.
does anyone know which option has the best outcome. Idk should I choose Armando or Sophia to lead? (keep in mind that I did all side quests and I saw no more flooded downtown.)
when I pick Armando then outcome is the future of the town down there change greatly. but the upper city doesn't seem change and Adri the Inventor shop is shut down.
when I pick Sophia then outcome is nothing much is changed. which choice is good for the end game? need help.
The game is good I like it. it's rare to see game with time traveller element related. and cartoon fairy tale reminds me of Child of Light. but this game have a annoying feature that is the random enermies encounters too often (I don't like random battle encounter tbh). I had same experience with Octopath Traveller. is it just me or the game have no easy option at the start of the game. also I found myself a bit annoying with parry/deflect mechanic of the game. press X too early even before enemy's attack = enemy's attack guarantee to hit. enemies normal attack is too powerful. that's wierd. I chose attack option and press X continuingly always guarantee a 2nd atk. but with parry/deflect Mechanic. too early and too late means you're dead. I wish if continuingly smash X to guarantee parry/deflect just like the way to have 2nd atk. but no. that's suck. I never thought that I am now searching for trainer now.
... Cartoon animation I guess ... that's good since they bring their own style in it ... (tough the system is actually close to JRPG) Either I see too much porn, or ... the art ... kinda remind me with certain western art (porn comic) ...
What's wrong with that? 20 minutes isn't that bad for an rpg that's just starting out, sure some other rpgs found ways to throw you in right away, but not all of them like telling their narrative that way.
We are currently in 2021, so attention spans are.... uhhh.. something..
If I wanted to read a novel, I'd pick up a book. A shit load of talking in the beginning of a game doesn't make a strong game. You need a hook right at the start and reading simming isn't it. How many pilots of TV shows do you know where nothing happens and its just pure character development? They don't exist because no one bought the pilot
I was just jokingly prodding at all these losers that get wet to their tingle time reading sims. The short list for future kid diddler is in that downvote button, mark my words.
Ya know, just because you don't like reading or paying attention to something doesn't mean others don't and is not necessarily a flaw with the game. Not all games can afford telling their stories through action alone and not all stories told through action alone are good.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
So yeah, for me the only thing this game has going for it is the visuals.

Any idea how I can fix this,or any steam crack that makes it work?
which choice is good for the end game? need help.
