UPDATE: Ah, I can see why it's not an Early Access thing. It's actually a budget game, despite initial appearances.

(10:00) The tooltips take a while to appear too. There seems to be enough space in the user interface to display them and the tooltips won't be obscuring other things that the player would want to reach, so I don't see the reason for the delay.

9 minutes in, and I am bewildered. If there is anything that the game needs instead of a long introductory exposition, it is a better tutorial.
Also, fucking punching and kicking alien drones. "They are no match for your close combat skills", indeed! It's rather unbelievable for sentients that have figured out space travel to not consider having guard drones that are at least able to restrain prisoners.
Then, there is an ability to "Control" or "Infect" a drone. What? What? Is the reply to this "what?" going to be "nanomachines, son"?

So many decades on, yet there are still games that begin with long-ass introductory exposition instead of immediately beginning with gameplay.
