I never subbed to anyone on youtube, just feels like a corruption system. The more subs the more money they earn and the more commercial gains they get and eventually they are just puppets. Maybe a-bit brutal way of explaining it but, yeah, Sellouts.
To defeat Youtube, you fristly have to find a new site for similar use, as far as i see. No one could replace 'em at this moment. As long as you watch its videos, they gained.

The same exact mechanism applies. They are just cogs of various sizes in in the big capitalist machine. They advertise whatever product the higher-ups order them to; they are practically shills and sellouts, big or small. If you don't support them by buying anything from them they eventually go out of business (much like YouTubers).
yeah, my channel of 2 years is slowly growing, i'm at 50 subs and since content there is not completely mine (i rework songs created by other people, it's a hobby thing) i can totally see it going to my head when i reach 100 :)
