Please help, I can't play the game because i can't load any of my saves i don't know what to do. hen I try to load a save it says : "the data is broken"
I did not liked earlier installments of this series due to cringe alerting me heavily,but i wanna try this one. I dunno what changed but i may try it sooner or later.

I know Ys series is like a legend among Japanese games, but why the potato graphics after all these years? It looks like a game from 2005, not gonna lie on that.
Definitely not 2005 lol but yeah, it looks like a remastered PSP game like Tokyo Xanadu eX+ for example. These games don't have anywhere near the budget that big AAA titles do, but more than that Japanese gamers care more for art style than high graphical fidelity.
Good question. Maybe they don't care about graphics as much in Japan. I've played other Ys, but they were either on psp or pc ports of psp games. Graphics were pretty basic there, but they also had a top down perspective that was kinda far so graphics weren't to scrutable. This perspective lends itself to more close up inspection.
man I wish if the main story plus extra can make the total gameplay to 40 if possible. but not all ys game can do it except Trails series. my total playtime is 28 hours plus 30 minutes let's make it 29 hours of gameplay include main story plus extra (all legendary weapons + armors + super boss). I remember ys viii I beat have the same total playtime for the first run.

Does this include all the costumes? I'm only getting the Monstrum Trope costumes to show up currently not the free one's like the Eternian Blue Costume and so on?
Try to update your GPU driver, also other drivers. If this game still crash then its the game and you can nothing do about that. Wait for a patch, maybe your hardware is not supported.

why the hell some games set to use integrated as default for Nvidia somestimes -_- , i almost thought this game was badly optimized , i had to use Nvidia control panel to fix this ... Update: Framedrops are still happening for some parts , this game is not optimized afterall .
yeah it's most likely not optimized and kinda weird despite it share same requirement as cs3 and 4 which i don't have much of a problem there with higher setting. i need to disable dynamic shadow to make the game smoother and no more problem so far.
sadly i turn everything off and to the lowest and im still having fps drops, while i play cold steel 3 and 4 with no problem with highest setting, this is a problem
actually, nevermind, i decide to actually check like the previous guy, just open nvidia control panel and change it to my nvidia graphic card and its fucking smooth holy shit even with max graphic, seems like it was using intergrated graphic after all, wonder why. but yeah, seems like i got mine to work, i was cringing so hard with how bad the frame is, now its really just so damn smooth
oh glad to hear that, but yeah sometimes need to check it which gpu it's using. using msi afterburner or checking it on task manager (if windows 10) should be good enough to tell.
There is no such thing as a bad Ys game, except for the SNES ones. It's one of the all-time great JRPG series, more endearing than FF IMO. FF was turned into a boyband sim but Ys remains a solid and steadfast JRPG.
not exactly bad, but i guess this Ys 9 is really deviating from it's predecessors. From Ys 1 to Ys 8 adol was always human, and i like him for that. Just normal human getting stronger with skills, you know? but with Ys 9 where adol turn into dante-clone, it really sap away my interest. I still like the battle system, but seeing adol "must getting along with his fellow Monstrum" thing just doesn't sit right with me. I'd rather adol get genderbend curse and playing as femdol for shit n giggles.
I know. I tried FF15 (i think its 15) and I was like "where's the fantasy?" It had the names, but it just didn't FEEL like a Final Fantasy. Maybe it got better later, but the first part, driving around in the car and all that, it just felt so lacking in the fantasy department that I never went back to try and finish the game! That and I can't say I liked the new combat system. It felt like they were trying to turn it into an action rpg, and failed in too many ways.
The installer doesn't work. Nothing happens if I try to open setup.exe. I have tried compatibility mode and running it as administrative but it didn't help. I have also downloaded the game twice with windows defender turned off. Can anybody help?
I managed to open it by: turning off windows defender (don't forget windows defender smartscreen) and opening the setup without extracting first the content of the iso in another file.
Not sure if it works, but I think your falcom game's save file are kept somewhere on your pc, so you shouldn't have to worry about deleting your games for these kind of bonuses or for clear save data in trails games. Location C:->Users->USERNAME->Saved Games->FALCOM (If you are not english, Saved Games might have a translated name)
yeah some are stored in the document folder i just wasnt sure if the past ys game follow the same concept, i still havent download to try so idk. still have tons of game in my backlog thanks to summer sale lol
Magic. Seriously, in a fantasy setting, a walking talking doll is really not that big of a deal. I think it was Class of Heroes that had a race that was essentially an artificially created race that looked almost like dolls in ways.
ys8 crack version save data is in main folder directory. of course it cannot read it. put it in C:\Users******\Saved Games\Falcom\Ys8. everyone who used ys8 crack will have to create a folder Ys8 and put the save data folder inside it.

This series is a classic, and you get vastly different gameplay depending on the entry. the one constant is the live action battle system... initially released in 87' on the NEC it's the grandad of deep story action RPG's and every entry is a blast. I am curious why you find NO redeeming qualities in such a widely enjoyed series

It's almost like nobody ever heard of the idea of a Maces or a non-oversized sledgehammer! It always has to be a hammer ludicrously large and thus obviously Slow.
I of course said this before I saw that Ys9 had multiple characters doing Blunt damage. And their attacks were not abysmally slow. And yes, now I do remember that character. Huge honking balls that were swung around. I used her a lot when I had to clear masses of mobs. I guess I still remember NOT liking the Captain and his anchor. So. Bloody. Slow.
