There is a HUGE amount of otome games out there that are based on the Shinsengumi 😮 I know like 5 just from the ones that are actually translated in english. I know it's a cultural thing and the Shinsengumi were probably famed as good looking, but is there something more to it? Possibly that they were the japanese version of knights? (even those are technically the samurai).
Idk about good looking but it's just a convenient setting. You have lots of dudes and drama together no problem. The rest depends on the fact if it's more or less historically accurate.
Watch the DARKSiDERS.2021.exe inside the .iso on /DARKSiDERS folder... Pretty cool.. its opengl and c# programmed. In the past ALL games released on pc had thing like this from the grp included with crack :) Shows theyre LEARNING there, not just doin piracy.. OpenGL and DirectX coding is not too easy.. But those coders are NEEDED too in game industry ;) -- Hence many grps have note that they dont condone piracy and do it just for fun and for challenge, With no financial gain in mind. Its bit sad that they do it for free and from their own pockets and then some eg some torrent sites make actual income with their releases in way of "Donations" that give u free leech... :/ EDit: Thou gettin $ from eeg ads in igg games is imho fine. as long as its just for paying for the site etc etc.. Not in mind of actual financial gain from piracy. just sharing... :) ...Yes i was in scene in 90s End of the story haha.. Just lil info for you all new to everything...
