I suppose that these days, the setting of WW2 had been mined so deeply that the years before the 1940s are the only ones remaining. It's hard to make games that pit the player against the Third Reich with this sub-setting. There will be no triumph at the end, after all - just sadness. Furthermore, in terms of "awesomeness", 1938 and 1939 had dinky tanks and vehicles, compared to the ones that come later. Just look at the Panzer II, for example. The kind of customers that these games would get are those that are tired of the usual campaigns won by USA, British or USSR forces in 1943 and 1944. By the way, this game isn't the only one these days. There is Warsaw, that game about the Warsaw Uprising.
yeah and to think there are so few including the pre-www2 like Spanish Civil War and Sino-Japanese war 1936. All would be good if they included Germans during WW2 and what they feel before and during the war. Also we need more Eastern front opening including Barbarossa and South campaigns. Show how brutal the wars there and Soviet and German atrocities. No exceptions.
As a spaniard you don't want the spanish civil war, one side had biplanes, the other one (franco the one who won) had german planes. Basically the spanish civil war was a test for the armament that hitler would use to conquer later on europe, tanks, firearms, planes, even some ships. It wouldn't be as "fun" as you think, my city resisted until the end with enough supplies because the only way to attack it was from the sea, they bloqued alternative routes from the north, and we had a lot of montains and is a natural port, so a lot of sea batteries (i think that's the name in english). My city is Cartagena, but the one in Spain, the county "Region de Murcia", there's other Cartagena that is at south america that turned the tables of an attack from sea too.
For the Eastern Front ones, you can just look at Men of War and Sudden Strike. Incidentally, these two series are developed by Russia-based developers; if those dudes make World War 2 games, they tend to be about the Eastern Front. These also have campaigns in which the player plays as the Germans. If you want a real-time strategy/tactics game that includes the atrocities though, well, these are hard to make. Many of the atrocities are carried out by occupation, rear-echelon, or second-line units, or units that have been sent back to rearm - in other words, units that did not see combat. Hard to make a game focus on real-time combat and then somehow shift to the atrocities later, not without making the atrocities part feel like they have been stapled on - like Company of Heroes 2's default campaign, to cite a very clumsily done example. The turn-based WW2 grand strategy games are much better in this regard - though the visual depiction of the atrocities are rather subdued.
I have windows 10 v20h2 (updated with the latest updates) and the game closes in the first mission, and at the same time I have another partition with version v1909 where the game works without any unexpected shutdown, but anyway the game has an optimization regrettable. DF2 or Land Warrior is my fav... Multiplayer was specially fun! Played Projecct I.G.I games aka Project Im Going In btw? Theyre little similar... lol btw just remembered how i got lost on the map of DF2 NUMEROUS times... was HUUUGE!! And in what year?! Also the optimization of the games was superb unlike similar voxel bigworld landscaped Outcast wich did not even started for me... For me last quarter of 90s and 2000s was the gamings golden years. :) Also i remember one similar game too as DF´s but just cant remember the name, imma get back if i will as now i also wanna try it that is it just the "rose tinted glasses". :) Your my gaming soulmate now lol, its nice we seem to like much all samey games u and me, so its nice, we will be recommending alotsa stuff to each my friend ^_^

lol i used to go into walmart looking for win 95 only games since it was like 98 or 99 and and i just had a win 95 pc , if you like rts games should look into army men rts its alot of fun its the game that got me into rts games my cousin brought it over and we played it on his gamecube i borrowed it and played up to mission 5 or 6 i was thinking of trying baldurs gate 3 but they say its still in alpha or something and some stuff has problems but id like to when its finished , i used to go into walmart when they had dreamcast for sale and want one never could afford one though when they come out i think they was like 500 or 600? im not sure it was alot but i never got one lol but now theyre cheaper can get one on ebay i always wanted to play the game nights into dreams for it

You know how some games just don't like a CPU, or GPU.. Sometimes they just don't like an OS, too.. It could be anything, lol. PC games are annoying at times.
just you. and pretty sure cod ww2 or any other COD game about ww 2 covers the start of the Invasion of Poland. and maybe it look similar cause the weapons are almost identical as the real weapons. Call of duty made them look realistic but just looking a bit more bad ass then the real weapons, This is pretty realistic looking and sounding guns.
Are you sure the sounds are authentic? For one, the gun shots of the player character's rifle sounds like the microphone picked up the sound of the bullet breaching the sound barrier at its loudest, whereas the ignition of the propellant in the cartridges is not as loud as it should. (The cartridge primer being ignited is even less audible.) I didn't hear the squelch of mud when the player character is running through the trenches either. Also, at least two of the planes in the starting battle would have been flying in each other's slip-streams! That's very dangerous! AND there's something that looks like crackling lightning in the clouds above in the starting battle. I only see those visual efffects in sci-fi and fantasy games!
