The text is reminding me of FireWatch.

This farmland is suffused with metal stuff. How the fuck does anything grow there if there is so much oxidizing metal in the ground?

Did Campo Santo make this? I ran a search because it seems like it.. I predicted that their next game would feature metal detecting, or tracking animals on a safari, and romance/mystery elements yet again.. Starting to wonder if I'm a precog. Lmao.

Campo Santo is dead. Valve absorbed them, cancelled their In the Valley of the Gods game that looked fucking amazing, and then made them work on Half Life: Alyx instead, and have stated they're also working on other Valve related projects for the time being. The person that designed this game is actually of a higher caliber than Campo Santo anyways, it's from the lead designer of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture which I would argue is the magnum opus of walking simulators. This one will be a more reigned in smaller project but it looks absolutely incredible. I hope that if anybody here enjoys this game and can afford to, please consider purchasing this one it's not a genre that gets any support at all.

I'll buy it if it's good. Most people who "pirate" that are from countries with a decent economy, and have money, do in fact support developers and publishers who release a decent title. I'd be inclined to believe they don't, if I didn't actually do it myself.
I'm kind of glad it works this way.. Too often do I see games that shouldn't have even been purchased, making money... It floods the market with trash and makes it hard to find games that actually deserve a playthrough..
If people supported only decent titles, NDA's didn't exist, advertising was clear and uncut, or cut better, and demo's were still a thing, it'd give the industry more incentive to put effort in to their work, which would in turn give the consumers more incentive to spend money.
In fact, I've seen people GIVING OUT games for donation only (sometimes with a minimum, pfft, semitic semantics lmao, making fun of my own blood, shush, it is jewy..) make more than people who sold their product in a more traditional fashion. Sharing is caring.

I just did. For 8.99 Euro it's a steal, even if it's only half as good as EGTR. That was one of the very few games, that made me sigh, because it's beautiful landscapes were some sort of relief.

you are a wonderful person. i know the devs for this game are struggling and the reviews page on steam is not panning out nicely for them when the game itself struggled to get much publicity beyond appearing in a spread of Edge magazine. It's not EGTTR, but it has a fraction of a fraction of the budget and team. and I think what they managed to create even if your expectations do not get met with the various story threads(which, similar to Firewatch's ending is somewhat the point), is a rather beautiful little experience.
